《《BFF》|| taekook ✔️》Chapter 14

Dear Diary...

Have I ever mentioned how beautiful Jungkook's eyes are?

That's so random, right? But seriously, his eyes can display so many different emotions, every time I look at them, I feel like I can read all of his feelings.

Like when he's happy, they're all glittery and shiny, sooo pretty! And when he laughs, they crinkle.

Sooo cute, right?

But when he's sad, they look all gloomy and kind of numb and just one look at his eyes can make you emotional! Luckily, he doesn't get sad often.

Well, at least I hope he doesn't.

And when he's angry, his eyes look so dark and cold, it scares me. Just one look at him and I can feel the shivers run up my spine, it really intimidates me.

But in the dream I had recently, they portrayed an emotion I've never properly seen before... love.

Sooo romantic..

Ooh that's right, I completely forgot to tell you!

I recently had a dream about Jungkook, we were sitting on a bench and he... kissed me!

It felt so perfect, no words could ever describe this feeling, it was so beautiful and romantic I could've collapsed!

To be frank, when I woke up, I wanted to die. Or fall asleep again so I could continue kissing him!

But dear diary, now I really wanna kiss him every time I see him, my crush's becoming worse and worse.

I always catch myself studying his lips when he's around me and it hurts me so much to know that I will never get the chance.

And you know what's the worst? His birthday is tomorrow and he wants me to tell him my secret! How do I do this? What if he hates me? But at least his mom supports me...

Ugh, why can't I just stay in dreamland for eternity?

Okay anyways, this is becoming too depressing to talk about, goodbye, dear diary!

As soon as Taehyung opened his eyes on the following day, he was happy and scared at the same time.

After sitting up in his bed and rubbing the sleep out of his eyes intensively, he grabbed his phone and unlocked it to type a message.

💛💛

Sent 9:12 AM

He smiled slightly, slowly feeling himself wake up.

Rereading the text several times, he frowned.

Should I have written more?

Were the hearts too much? Too inappropriate? Wrong colour?

Is it normal for boys to text their friend with heart emojis? Is he gonna assume something? Shit... Well, whatever.

He's gonna know sooner or later, no big deal.

Sighing, he removed his body from under his covers and stepped out of his bed while stretching out his arms over his head.

He let his gaze wander over Jungkook's birthday present, a computer game he knew the other had liked for a long time, 'Call Of Duty'.

He himself didn't play any computer games since he could never find the time to do so but since Jungkook spent basically all his free time gaming or working out he knew he would love it.

So, after having breakfast, showering and getting dressed (Taehyung felt himself getting extremely conflicted as he got dressed, despite knowing it was a simple birthday party for friends and family, he couldn't help but want to improve his attire and look pretty.

For Jungkook? Hell yes, for Jungkook.), he grabbed his present and coaxed his mother into driving him to the Jeons' home.

So, as he stood in front of the doorbell, an overwhelming feeling of nervosity filled his gut.

Did he look fine? Was his present acceptable? And most importantly, how was he going to tell him about his sexuality?

Sighing, as many thoughts ran through his head, he pressed the doorbell, the shrill sound ringing in his ears and slowly making him focus.

After only a few seconds, he could hear approaching footsteps as the front door was swung open.

"Welcome Taehyungie, you're finally here!" In the door stood Mrs. Jeon, her raven hair tied up to a messy ponytail, complimenting her casual, comfy attire.

"Hello Mrs. Jeon."

She looks so young, like a college student, Taehyung thought.

All of a sudden, another, taller figure stepped next to her.

The birthday boy.

Taehyung's heart rate picked up and his legs went to jelly.

He smiled his sweet, boxy smile, suddenly feeling very awkward.

"H-Hey, Jungkook. Happy birthday."

He met Jungkook's eyes, trying not to blush by the adorable smile the other's face.

"No need to congratulate me twice, I saw your text message. But thanks so much, that's real sweet of you."

He pointed towards the present in Taehyung's arms, the red wrapping paper reflecting the daylight beautifully.

"It's your birthday, this is necessary. Only the best for you."

Oh god, Taehyung. Stop being so weird, dammit. And stop blushing, right now!

"Aww. You guys should hug!"

They didn't even notice Mrs. Jeon still standing next to them, leaning against the door frame with a look of adoration on her face.

Taehyung blushed even more, this time out of embarrassment.

"Uh, mom--"

"This is a special day, come on. Oh, I'll take that."

She reached her arms towards the present, gesturing the boys to hug.

Having no idea what was going on, Taehyung hesitantly took a step forward and wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck, his heartbeat accelerating by every movement.

He felt himself getting pulled closer by the younger's arms around his waist, their chests touching.

Taehyung hoped the other couldn't hear his racing heart.

Crazy how such small action could cause so many feelings inside of him, huh?

He could feel the butterflies inside his stomach multiplying and going insane, twirling around like there was no tomorrow.

When they loosened the hug, much to Taehyung's dismay, Mrs. Jeon gestured them to enter the house, beaming.

"Kook's baby cousins came to visit. You remember them, right? Yeji and Beomgyu," she asked, the question directed to Taehyung.

The aforementioned nodded, slightly bowing his head as he walked through the front door.

As soon as he entered, a female toddler with pigtails and a cute pink dress ran towards him, attacking him with a hug.

"Oppa!"

Picking up the small girl and holding her by the waist, he smiled cutely and patted her hair.

"Hey, princess."

"I swear, Yeji loves you. She didn't even spare me a glance today, I think she hates me."

Suddenly, he saw Jungkook standing right before him, holding another toddler by the hand, a small boy with a bandana wrapped around his cute little head.

His heart threatening to explode at the cuteness he was seeing, he smiled even wider.

"What can I say, she loves my affection."

Jungkook laughed. "I can see that. So mean, how can she do this to me on my birthday?," he asked in a playfully hurt tone.

"Because you're not cute like TaeTae Oppa!," the little girl exclaimed, clinging even harder onto Taehyung.

Taehyung couldn't help but feel giddy inside, him and Jungkook alone with two kids in the room was basically everything he could've wished for.

That giddiness didn't last long since Mrs. Jeon called them into the dining room right in that moment, making the two boys leave the living room with the toddlers clinging onto them.

Will I really gain the courage to tell him?, Taehyung thought.

Could everything be over all of a sudden? Our friendship, our bond?

Will I be heartbroken after this?

Only one way to find out.
