After the special announcement, Marco and I decided to extend our stay in Scotland for a few more days.

I invited my ladies-in-waiting to go horseback riding.

"Horseback riding?"

Ana asked

"This early?"

Bekah frowned

"Yes, this early"

I laughed

"Shall we play a game?"

Belle recommended

"Much better!"

Anne commended

"Any recommendations?"

I asked

All went quiet

"Hmm"

"How about I teach you how to play polo?"

I said

"Oh what's that Alex?"

Bekah asked

"Well, it's a horseback ball game"

"I'll teach you how to play it later"

I smiled

"Okay now I'm excited!"

Ana said

"Let's go?"

I said

"Oh! Where are you going, Alex?"

Queen Mary arrived together with Marco

"Your Majesty"

Ladies in waiting bowed in unison

"Hello, Mother"

I smiled

Queen Mary smiled at them

"Marco, my dear"

I kissed his cheek

He then whispered,

"Hello, my love"

"We'll go horseback riding"

I said

"Oh! Do you want me to join you, love?"

Marco asked

"No, it's okay, love"

"We'll be fine"

I hugged him from his side

"Well then be careful outside, okay?"

Mary said

"Yes, mother"

I nodded

"Bring men okay?"

"Don't stay out too late"

Mother held my hand

"I'm old now, mother"

I laughed

Queen Mary shook her head and laughed

"Silly!"

"It's for the baby"

She smiled

"Yes, mother"

"We'll go ahead now"

I said

My ladies in waiting and I left the castle while riding our horses. For our safety, we are followed by my men as mentioned by the queen and my husband.

"Woah!"

"I'm getting tired"

Belle said

"Where did you learn playing polo again?"

Ana asked

"Oh! Marco taught me when we were in Italy"

I smiled

"Is he good in playing polo?"

Bekah asked

"Definitely good!"

I exclaimed

"But knowing you, Alex, you believe that you play much better than him"

"Don't you?"

Anne laughed

I nodded

We all laughed

After playing polo, we decided to visit the towns to find a good place wherein we could find things to bring as we go back.

"Queen Alexandra!"

"The Queen of Italy is here"

"She looks glamorous"

"A royal indeed!"

"Just like Queen Mary, she's gorgeous!"

I've been hearing lots of praises and compliments from the people in town. I can't help but to smile and be proud of what I've become.

As my ladies and I were checking the fruit stand, a guard came to me.

"Your majesty, we have a problem"

"A group of men are attacking the town"

He said

"Where are our horses?"

I asked while trying to remain calm

"I apologize my queen but they ran off"

He said

I looked at my ladies who seemed scared. So do I but I trying my best to remain calm. I can't be stressed because of my pregnancy.

"Please do find a way to reach the castle and ask for help."

I commanded and the guard left

The people are already in chaos since the group of men started torching the stalls and killing innocent people.

Who are they?

We were in danger as we only have few queens guard with us.

I led my ladies in waiting inside a tavern to hide while waiting for more men from the castle to save us and stop this attack.

"Do you have any idea who might be attacking the village?"

Belle whispered

"No"

I answered

"Anyone who must've had some grudges on you or the royals?"

She asked again

I shook my head

"Just stay calm, Alex"

Anne said

"You can't be stressed"

"The baby might get affected"

She added

I nodded

Meanwhile, the guard whom Alex gave order has already arrived in the castle.

"Your majesty"

The guard bowed while panting

"What's wrong?"

Queen Mary said

King Marco came to the throne room in rush to check what was happening.

"What's happening?"

King Marco asked

"They are currently in town being attacked by a group of men"

"The queen and her ladies are safe when I last talked to her."

"We need back up. We are outnumbered"

He said

King Marco of Italy and the Queen of Scots were alarmed because of the news. The Queen started to panic and worry about them. She wanted to come with Marco and his men but the King of Italy insisted.

"Mother, you must stay here"

"It is not safe for you to go with us"

Marco explained

"Marco..."

She said

"I apologize, your majesty but Alex will just get mad at me if I put you to harm"

"It is my duty as her husband to keep not just my wife safe but you as well"

"Please understand"

"We have to leave now"

He said

"I assure you. I will keep Alexandra safe and sound."

He added before leaving

The Queen ordered his brother, James, to make sure the castle was locked and heavily guarded after Marco left.

The King of Italy and his Italian troops together with Scottish guards went to the said place to save the girls and to stop the attack. Marcus, one of their loyal Scottish mercenaries and their friend tagged along with them.
