Everyone gathered inside the Scottish court's throne room for the Italian royalties' special announcement.

"Oh this is so sudden, Alex"

Queen Mary said

"Don't worry, mother"

"I'll keep this one short"

"I'll handle this"

I smiled

The guards started to announce our arrival inside the courtroom

"The Queen of Scots, Queen Mary has arrived"

Mother entered first and sat on her throne

"The King and Queen of Italy, King Marco and Queen Alexandra have arrived"

The guard said as we enter the courtroom

"My fellow scots, my husband, King Marco of Italy, and I are here today in front of my mother, Queen Mary of Scotland, and all of you who are here to state a very special announcement"

I said

"I am officially announcing that I am pregnant with King Marco"

I graciously smiled

I looked at Queen Mary and saw that she was actually a little bit teary-eyed but still keeping herself poised.

All applauded and celebrated as I announce that I am having my first baby with the King of Italy.

After the announcement, we went to the banquet hall to celebrate. I have already told our cooks to prepare delicious cuisines for an important occasion before we held everyone to the throne room.

"These seem appetizing, Alex"

Marco whispered

"Oh! They are!"

I exclaimed

"Go try some, if you want"

I smiled

Queen of Scots was walking towards me, hugged me so tight and said,

"My beautiful daughter, you're no longer a baby"

She pulled away from the hug as a tear dropped

"Oh, mother!"

"Don't be silly"

"I am still your one and only princess"

I held her hand

"You're already building your own family, my princess"

"Oh! Time flies so fast!"

"It seems like your wedding was just yesterday!"

She laughed

"You must've missed me while I was away"

I said

"You guessed it right"

She frowned

"Mother, baby James is there"

I laughed

"Well, your brother is too young to talk to"

"I also need someone like you to talk with me when in times of facing stress and all of that..."

She sighed

"You're strong, mother!"

"Plus, you've said it earlier..."

"Time seems to pass by quickly"

"Soon, James can blabber words already"

"I am sure he can entertain you"

I said

"Hey!"

"Don't make it look like I don't love your brother"

"He entertains me even if he's just looking at me smiling or giggling"

She laughed

"I-I just missed you being here with me"

She smiled

"I know you do, mother"

I hugged her this time

"Apologies for interrupting my Queens"

Marco said

We pulled away from the hug

"Yes, love?"

I asked

"Drop the formalities, Marco"

Queen Mary laughed

"I'm sorry but shall we eat now?"

"The food are mouthwatering"

Marco scratched his head

We laughed

"Okay, love"

"Let's go"

I smiled

"Come on, let's go!"

"I'm starving too"

Queen Mary added
