In the underground of the Western Continent. Yuriel and his group kept on trailing the path of the stairs.

They've been walking for more than 10 minutes however there's still no process.

They still can't see the ends of the staircase and the oxygen around them are getting dense that it's almost hard to breathe normally.

"Haa.... I can't go on anymore..." marco said as his legs gave out like paper. Among the three of them, Marco is the weakest when it comes to using his body but he was actually stronger than Rio if they fight using magic only.

"Sighs.... Let's rest for now." Yuriel spoke as he also sat down on the stair while Rio was just leaning on the wall while gazing at the path they need to take.

"....I still can't seem to feel that we're even getting closer to the end of the stairs..." Rio calmly spoke what's in his mind and yuriel nodded in agreement.

Like what the book states about the cave. The stairs seems to have no ends at all.

Yuriel found out about this when he was reading a very old book that is on the deepest part of the library that no one seems to care about.

When he first opened it, he didn't expect that it contains many information about each continent. Unlike the ones he have read, The book is more of a real life experience of the author himself.

He stayed in the library for a whole day just to understand and finish the book which is a big help for him.

The first one he found out is there's an underground maze on the Western Continent that is just near the border. It stated that many people tried to uncover the mystery of the maze but they all died and for those who survived, it's either they are mentally disabled or some of their body parts are gone because of the danger they faced inside.

But what makes it even more mysterious is that those who survived actually forgot what the maze look like, it's as if their memories are forced to be forgotten by an unknown force.

Yuriel was planning to borrow the book from the library so he out it on the table he is using and tried to find some books again before he leaves.

But just a minute passed, the book from the table vanished into thin air.

Yuriel tried to find it again but he couldn't. He even asked the librarian if he knows about the book but when he was about to open his mouth. He forgot what the book's title is. Except for the author's name.

He asked if the librarian know about a book that is made by Roland Grimburgh but it seems that she doesn't know anything about such author despite being in the library for almost a decade.

With a sullen expression. He left the library with a heavy heart.

Even until now, he is still wondering why the book suddenly vanished but he still didn't think of it hard since his first priority is the blessing.

"Hm... What is this thing..."

Yuriel's consciousness came back after he heard the necromancer's voice and glanced at him.

Only to see that he was pressing a small button on his side.

"Wha- Dont!--"

Before he can even continue, Marco has already pushed the button with his finger and the stair starts to form into a slide which startled them all.

"Fuck! Rio, use your sword to pierce through the stone so we can hold on!" He ordered the man which quickly did so but was shocked when his sword didn't even pierced through.

Yuriel saw an invinsible barrier was making the stone harder to not let anyone escape successfully which made him cursed inwardly.

All the stairs vanished as all of the three started to slide down in a fast speed.

Marco starts yelling and screaming curses on himself for even pushing the button while Rio tried his best to find a place to grip on but failed.

Yuriel was also panicking inside and kept on muttering spells in his head but it seems that an unknown force was not letting him use his magic.

'Is this what the survivor is talking about? The force.... '

Creakk...

Three entrances suddenly appeared infront of them as the three got seperated from each other.

Yulriel continued to slide down when he finally saw a light from afar.

When he reached at the end, he suddenly falls and luckily been saved by piles of sand.

" coughs... Where is this place..." smokes have been formed from his fall as he tidy himself by brushing off the sand on his body.

After the smoke vanished, Yuriel find himself in an old temple. The ceiling have cracks on it but it's still holding on tightly.

Glancing around to find anything suspicious. He then saw a huge door on the other side.

His brows furrowed and walks straight to the door when he felt a presence moving fast from each corner.

He stopped on his tracks as he feels the space around him. Two?

He felt two presence lurking around as if they're waiting for their prey to move ahead before they attack from the behind.

His eyes held a deadly glint. It seems that they are creatures judging from their sizes which is the almost the same as a dragon's.

He sighed and continued to walk to the door when the presence of the two creatures are getting closer.

And by the time he was just near the door by 2 meters. Huge claws attacked him from both sides.

He quickly jumped up and backed away from the door.

He glanced at the back of the two creatures and saw that they're huge snakes but what shocked the latter is their upper body looked like a human boy and girl but still maintaining their black and green skin color.

Their huge claws are intact with their hands and they have long tongues just like a snake which is understandable.

While Yuriel was busy debating with his mind, the two huge snakes took this as a chance to attack as they both used their claws and also their poison saliva on the latter's direction.

Fortunately, Yuriel was trained in this kind of situation and his body just moved on his own.

Casting a speed spell, he successfully avoided their attacks and not a single hit nor bruise can be seen on his attire or body.

The humanoid snakes got angry as their attacks become fiercer and faster however they still couldn't hit the silvery-eyed man.

Sighing. Yuriel was starting to get bored and decided to end it quickly so he can enter the door infront of him.

He was not actually worried about the other two of his companions since he knows that they can handle themselves without him.

Raising both of his hands at the same height as his chest.

Two black circles were formed on each hands. Magic runes are surrounding it, giving it an even more amazing look and power.

The two snake creatures knows better that those focused black circles are destructable and can kill them in just one shot as they quickly moved and attack the latter in hopes that they are much faster than his attack.

But before they could even go near the latter, he already fire it on the two snakes.

The focused magic stops just right infront of the creatures as the magic runes became bigger as the snakes. Imprisoning them and not allowing them to move before the circle started to suck all the things inside the rune.

The creatures hissed and tried to escape but the circle kept on sucking them in like a black hole in space.

Hissing and glass breaking scream can be heared by the latter but he didn't mind as he was busy admiring his magic.

He haven't tried using that magic since he doesn't want to destroy the forest but now, he can freely use it with a reason of self-defense.

Just a few seconds later. Everything inside the magic rune vanished leaving nothing.

Even the ground has been sucked by the black hole, forming a small hole which made the latter smiled in satisfaction.

When he was sure that there are no more creatures. He walks back to the huge door.

The door seems to have it's own consciousness and just opened on it's own when the latter was already close it.

Entering the opened door. He was greeted by a place full of riches and golds.

Unlike the golden dragon's den. This place is made out of gold. The ceiling and floor is made out of gold. The walls are full of rare magic stone and gems. And inside the room is full of rare artifacts and other great stuffs.

While looking around, A certain blue stone that is placed on the ends of the room caught his sight.

His lips smiled as he went straight to the stone, not minding any of the treasures for now.
