《The List》(35)

I slowly opened my eyes and took in the bright light coming from the window.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," River said, walking in from the balcony.

"Ew. Don't call me that."

"Do you want to go downstairs and get breakfast? The groceries were dropped off last night."

"Ugh. In a minute. I'm so cozy," I said, wrapping myself up in my blankets.

"Nope. Time to get up," He said, pulling the blanket off of me.

"Hey!"

"Let's go eat."

"Fine," I grumbled before heading downstairs.

"They're up!" Nadia exclaimed as we walked into the kitchen.

"We're up," I said.

"Are you ready for an exciting day?"

"What do you have planned?"

"Skydiving!" She exclaimed, causing all of us to look up and gape at her like fish.

"You had a traumatic experience with skydiving. You really want to try it again?"

"I want to replace that memory with a happy one," Nadia said.

"There is no way I'm going skydiving," Nelson said, putting his cereal bowl in the sink.

"I'm out, too," Victor said.

"Oh, come on. Jess, you're in, right?"

"Hell, yeah."

"Good. Alani and River?"

I turned to look at River as he said, "I'm in, and I think that you should do it too, Alani."

"Why?" I asked.

"I say that we create another bucket list."

"Go on," I said, intrigued.

"We can add stuff that you didn't have on the first list like skydiving, ziplining, and water sports. Completing those things on this vacation will be easy."

I thought about it. It did sound fun and tempting. Plus, I would get to experience all those cool things.

"Okay," I said. "I'll go skydiving."

"Great! Let's make the rest of the list," I said before going upstairs and grabbing my notebook from my backpack.

By the time we were done with the list, we had twenty more activities planned. I looked down and read the things we would be doing as I ate my toast.

"It's a good list," River said.

"Guys! We're leaving in twenty minutes!" Nadia called.

I put my plate in the sink and went upstairs to get ready.

On the drive to the skydiving place, it hit me what I was doing. I was about to freefall from thousands of feet in the air down to the earth with only a parachute as my safety net.

"I'm getting nervous," I admitted to everyone.

"Don't be nervous," River said.

"Thanks. That helps a lot," I said sarcastically.

"It'll be okay. You're more likely to get struck by lightning than to die during a skydiving session."

"Seriously?" I asked.

"According to google."

"Plus, I'll be right next to you," River said.

"Thank you," I said, squeezing his hand.

When we got to the place, we had to wait in a short line and then go over all the safety protocols.

I started shaking as we got onto the plane. I kept telling myself to ignore all my nervous feelings.

I was strapped to a pro skydiver, so I wasn't on my own, which helped a little. The girl strapped to me was nice. Her name was Abby, and she was a little older than the rest of us.

As the plane flew up, I looked out the window at the world below. Strangely, it made me feel calmer.

When it was time for the door to open, I couldn't believe that I was actually doing this.

Before I knew it, we were jumping out of the plane. River went first, followed by Nadia, then Jess, and finally, it was my turn.

As Abby jumped, we started to plunge down. It felt mesmerizing. The wind was powerful while it was blowing my face in a thousand different directions. The adrenaline coursed through my veins as we fell. It was probably the most alive I had ever felt before. Words couldn't describe how I was feeling.

When the parachute was pulled, and we landed on the ground, I was unstrapped and ran toward River.

I immediately jumped into his arms and hugged him.

"You did it!" He said.

"We did it," I replied.

"You guys are alive! I thought I would never see you again!" Victor joked as we walked back into the house.

"Oh, shut it," Nadia said.

"Seriously, though. How was it?"

"Amazing, life-changing, astonishing," I replied.

"What have you guys been doing?" River asked Victor and Nelson.

"Stuff," He smirked as we all understood what they were doing.

"What do you guys want to do for the rest of the day?" Jess asked.

"Let's just chill. I'm exhausted," I said before River and I headed upstairs to change.

"I still can't believe we did that," I said.

"I can."

"You can?"

"Alani, you're a lot braver and stronger than you think you are."

"Thank you," I said, liking the sound of his compliment.

"What should we do now?" He asked.

"I could strip for you," I said, teasing the edges of my shirt.

"Strip? Like with music and everything?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"I would love that," He said seriously before locking our door and lying on the bed.

I started playing a radio station on my phone before slowly pulling my shirt over my head. It got stuck on my head, though, and River had to help me pull my head through. We laughed as I continued. Next to go was my bra, except I couldn't get the strap undone. How did River do it all the time?"

"Need help?" He giggled.

"No!" I exclaimed, and after some more awkward fidgeting, I got it undone. After it fell to the ground, I cupped my breasts and pinched my nipples as River got his hard dick out.

"You're hard already? And from that terrible strip-job?" I asked.

"I'm always hard whenever you get naked," He said, causing me to blush.

I continued to take my leggings and panties off as River stroked his cock.

"Was it a good strip-job?" I asked, climbing onto the bed.

"Not at all," He said.

"Hey!"

"But it was perfect for me," He said before pulling me into his arms and kissing me.

There was no place I would rather be than in his arms.
