《Life After An Unwanted Marriage》Chapter 8

A hooded figure approached her form. Looking down she saw herself tied up on an armchair. She kept on wiggling from the grasp of the rope. Gazing back at the hooded figure that was now a meter away from her, the figure grabbed a gun from its pocket and started to point it at her.
"No, no....... Please" she begged for the creature's mercy. The creature laughed evilly with a feminine voice. It was a woman.
"Too late darling"
"Noooooooo!!!!"
Serenity bolted upright from her sleep. She was now sitting on the bed shaking uncontrollably and her face was covered with sweat from the horrifying nightmare. Tears began to fall from her eyes.
Andrei felt the slight movements and he turned only to see his wife shaking uncontrollably. He could hear her sobs and her heavy pants. He too sat on the bed.
"What's wrong?" He asked. He was a bit annoyed, for she had woken him but at the moment she faced him his annoyance faded.
It faded when he saw her frightened face.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up" she apologized as she sobbed silently.
"What's wrong?" He asked once again but his voice now was softer and comforting.
"I had a nightmare and I don't want to talk about it," she said averting her gaze from his face.
He furrowed his brow. Neither he wanted to hear it. "Then go back to sleep" his voice turned cold again.
Before he could go back to his side, serenity called him.
"Andrei"
Andrei turned to her but he didn't say a word. Serenity took this as a yes, that he's listening.
She looked down, ringing her fingers on the hem of her nightgown, clearly showing to him that she was nervous.
"Ca-can I sleep close to you please" she knew she sounded pathetic but she was afraid.

Andrei sighed. Contemplating her request.
When she received no response after a few beats of seconds, she became ashamed of herself for asking such stupid things.
She returned to her side, back facing him. She felt a shift on the bed so that means he's on his side too.
She felt the coldness engulfed her and the fear came back again. But before a tear can escape her eyes. A muscular arm wrapped around her waist pulling her closer till her back touched a rather hard object: it was his chest. He removed the strands of hair that was covering her neck and now she felt his hot breath. It was soothing for serenity and she no longer felt afraid.
She buried herself deep in his arms and he tightened his grip around her. Before she closed her eyes, she mumbled a soft thankyou which he appreciated in return.
*********
It was around 4:45 when Serenity woke up, she instantly felt the coldness around her. Without further hesitation, she opened her eyes then got up from the bed.
Stretching her arms free, the bathroom door suddenly opened and in came his husband in all his glory, clad only in a towel wrapped around his waist.
His hair's still damp from his shower and overall he looked hot with his broad muscles and six-pack abs.
Andrei cleared his throat, that made serenity come back to her senses again. She felt the heat rising on her cheeks as he had caught her staring.
She caught his gaze and he instantly smirked.
"Pack your bags today. We're leaving for Italy at 12 noon." He ordered.
"But-" serenity made to protest but was cut off by Andrei.
"I already asked my secretary to inform your secretary that you'll be gone for two to three days"

"You did not!!!" She snapped at him.
"I just did" he simply replied heading towards his walk-in closet.
Serenity glared at her husband.
"Don't dare tell me what to do Andrei. I'm not going with you" she defiantly said and with that she marched off to the bathroom, closing it from behind.
"Oh you will honey, you will" he muttered as he entered his closet.
*****
Serenity's POV
how dare he tell me what to do. He's really testing my patience, Oops... there's no patience left. I already lost it the moment I first saw him 10 months ago. My decision is final and I will never come with him to Italy...
