With that, Andrei straightened his posture then went to the couch opposite to where Serenity was sitting.

He smirked, delighted at the profound confusion on the woman's face.

"So Miss Avertini, do you agree," he asked watching her rather amusedly.

Serenity stared at him unbelievably. The nerve of this man. What does marrying him do with selling the land to her? He could've just named the price and it will all be solved.

"Mr. Will-"

"Andrei, darling" he growled.

"I mean Andrei" fine if you insist! "This must be some sort of a joke and to tell you frankly it's not in any bit of amusing" she reprimanded "Treating serious issues such as this one with deliberately inappropriate humor; that's simply facetious and I certainly didn't expect it from you"

"I'm not joking. I'm dead serious on everything that I said. Marry me and you'll get the land for the orphanage. I'll even support them financially " he offered. Enjoying her reaction.

For the first time, Serenity glared at this man. His strange behavior was utterly, ridiculously unbelievable. Sighing softly, she composed herself. This was a lost cause.

"What does marrying you do with selling the land to me. What are you even planning, to come up with such a stupid idea?. " she asked rather calmly, holding every nerve that will soon break.

"I don't need to explain myself" he simply replied.

With that, Serenity stood up and eyed him for a brief second before saying her words of goodbye.

"My answer is no Mr. Willforth so now if you don't want to sell the land to me then so be it. "

Andrei too stood from his seat. At that moment Serenity thought he was going to approach her again but luckily he didn't.

"Very well, but I won't stop dear. I may not have you agree with me but I think your father will" he sternly reassured and Serenity knew at that moment that she wanted to punch that smug look on his face, but she refrained herself from doing so. Her hands were way too delicate to commit such acts, especially on trash like Andrei.

"You're unbelievable" she quietly said before storming outside the cursed place.

"Conceited prick" she muttered.

Serenity lay on the soft mattress of the king-sized bed inside the Master's bedroom as she contemplated the events that had happened over the past months. Shifting on her side, she stared at the moon through the large glass bay window that she had chosen not to cover with the heavy drapes. The moon showered her with beam of lights, the ones illuminating the whole room.

"He'll be here tomorrow" the woman sighed "I wish he wouldn't" she quietly muttered as she continued to gaze on the moon.

She should be supposedly happy to know that her husband will finally arrive tomorrow as normal wives would but all she could feel was uneasiness with a mixture of hatred.

Just like Andrei said in the past months when they first met he may not have her agreed with him but her dad did.

The arrogant really went to their house the day after their argument at the exact date of her father's birthday. She learned that her grandfather and his father were business associates, his father lent them a huge amount of money when her grandfather's company was bankrupt but fortunately as years passed by they paid the debt.

Serenity didn't know what power he used on her dad to make him agree. The next thing she knew was her father confronting her of marrying the man. At first, she was defiant but when he used authority in his voice and threatened to take the company away from her, she couldn't refuse. The company had been her sanctuary and family over the years. She loved her work. She spent years of determination and perseverance just to ensure the company's rating and watching its high rank made her feel proud of what she had achieved.

A month of engagement was like living behind bars. It was unnerving as days continue to pass and the day of the wedding was approaching.

She was literally crying on the day of the wedding. The night of the event after the reception, they boarded on one of his private planes and flew to Bermuda islands just for a few hours.

It was a week from home and from work. A week in hell with the devil. It was so awkward. They had to share a bed and a room. Although she had insisted for her own, yet he declined her. They barely spoke to each other unless it's business-related. They managed their own businesses and she was so thankful for that. In that week, every day she grew to despise him more and it came to the level where she wanted to just murder him.

The last night of their honeymoon, he was acting strange that made her feel disgusted.

Serenity's POV

I shut my eyes close enjoying this moment of solitude and silence knowing later on the devil will emerge from the bathroom door in only his pajamas. Yes, I discovered that he has an athletic body. Broad muscles, six-pack abs, whatever. Yeah, he's hot and why the hell am I thinking of him. I loathed everything about him.

I heard the bathroom door open. Seconds later I felt a shift on the bed. I didn't bother to open my eyes, it's just a waste of time and for the fact I'm lying on my side, back facing him, I wouldn't dare to turn around just for his sake.

Then I felt a hand on my waist. Oh my gosh. The devil never touched me before, not even by accident. There's always a pillow that served as boundaries in between us but now where was it?

Pretending to feel nothing, I didn't bother to open my eyes but I swear my heart is beating twice it's normal beat. Then I felt hot breath on the side of my neck, I can smell his masculine scent. Gosh, this is out of control.

Don't open your eyes Serenity

I mentally stated.

Then the unexpected. He began to trail kisses on my neck down to my exposed shoulder. Why did I even wear this nightgown? His hands began to travel downwards under the covers to my legs. I felt shivers in my spine and my heart felt like it will soon leap out from my thorax cavity.

Not wanting any of this to happen, I abruptly opened my eyes to quickly face him. Before, I could say anything he beat me to it by crashing his lips forcefully on mine and pinning my hands on either side of my head.

I didn't kiss back. My mind was preoccupied on how to get away from his grip. I don't like any of this, not now and most certainly not with him! After kissing me, he looked at my face only to be met by a disappointed look.

He looked..... Handsome. His dark brown eyes were mesmerizing, his jawline outlined his face perfectly and Woah, get a grip of yourself Avertini.

He stared at me intently and for one thing, 's for sure I know the object in his eyes. Nothing but lust.

Oh no, this is not good.

"Get off me, Andrei" I ordered. He didn't budge but instead, he kissed my neck. Slow, sensual kisses that send shivers to my spine.

I was sure to protest but instead of a word, a moan escaped my lips. Whattt!!! My tongue's betraying me.

His kisses went down to my chest. Oh no!!!! Why did I even wear this loosen, cleavage-revealing silk nightgown? I hate my cousin for packing this for me.

Control yourself Avertini, as much as I wanted my surname to stay the same, but I couldn't. I now have to carry the devil's surname.

"Get off me Andrei Jeth Willforth!!! " I screamed loud enough for him to return his face to level mine. I swear the lust in his eyes was visible. It was hot, and the state he was current in right now. He is hot. Woah,

End of Serenity's POV

Shut it Serenity, yeah he's literally hot because he's the devil. He lives in hell so he's literally hot!! Literally, she mentally scolded herself. It took her all her power to take control of what was happening.

She struggled to get away from his grip. "Get off me! " she ordered. Her eyes slowly becoming misty of the tears that were threatening to escape.

Realizing what he just did, he released her hands, stood up then went outside of their bedroom.

That night, Serenity did not know where he went. He didn't even show up on their ride back to London. She had just obtained a piece of information from her secretary when she was now at her office that her jerk husband had full business schedules and trips and would be gone for at least ten months.

Of course, Serenity was ecstatic about this for she wouldn't get to see his handsome face yet despicable attitude.

Putting those thoughts aside, she began to close her eyes then drifted off to unpeaceful wonderland.
