《Life After An Unwanted Marriage》Chapter 2

A man was impatiently waiting inside the office lounge with his secretary by his side. Checking his wristwatch for the fifth time, the irritation level he was feeling was increasing as minutes passed by. They have been waiting for Fifteen minutes already.
"Fifteen minutes had already passed and your boss is still nowhere to be seen," he told the only girl in the room which happened to be the Secretary of Miss Avertini with annoyance present on his face.
"My apologies sir but I already informed Miss Avertini a while ago" the she secretary said.
Andrei's POV
"Well then, could you inform her again. I've got my next appointment for the next hour" I said still annoyed at whoever that girl is. She quickly rummaged through her pockets to get her phone.
Such an awful CEO, couldn't even manage her time well. How could she even run her company? Well, I think her lack of time management didn't even reflect on the reputation of her empire for the company of whoever that CEO was owning still is the number one and should I say best Drug incorporation in the medical Industry.
As her Secretary was about to dial the number. The glass door swung open revealing a young-looking woman with Amber eyes, milky white skin and dark brown hair tied up in a high ponytail. She wore a knee-length pencil skirt, a cream-colored blouse that was tucked inside the skirt, a black suit over the blouse and heels that increased her height.
"Sorry for the inconvenience that I caused from my delayed arrival Mr. Willforth" she politely said as she approached us.
I nodded then gestured for her to sit. Our secretary stood at our sides and we sat opposite to each other.
We talked for a minute discussing the property that she purchased. This woman in front of me looked innocent of what was about to come. The moment she walked through that door I was already contemplating something.

Then after a while, her secretary handed her the contract. Handing it to me I saw the empty slot of where I should supposedly sign. Averting my eyes from the contract, I gazed at her face.
"Miss Avertini, may I ask what are you planning to build on that property?"
She focused her eyes on me. Her amber orbs glinting in an odd positive emotion. Then she gave me a smile, a genuine one.
"I plan to build an orphanage there as an extension for the small one that I am supporting. It's for the children's sake. "
Then a smile grazed upon my lips. Perfect opportunity "Miss Avertini, can I talk to you alone"
"Sure, Mr. Willforth"
Our secretaries went outside. Once outside I stood up then tossed the contract aside. "I don't want to sign it," I told her sternly.
Her once genuine smile turned into a confounded frown. "Pardon, Mr. Willforth "
I chuckled "Cut the formalities between us. Call me Andrei"
"But why won't you sign it Mr. Willforth " looks like this is a stubborn one.
"I already told you to call me Andrei but you didn't listen" I chuckled again. I turned my back at the still confused woman, made my way towards the huge glass pane that overlooked the busy streets of London. "I told you that I don't want to. I don't see a reason to explain myself"
Furious, Serenity got up from the sofa. "But, I need that land. St. Paul's Orphanage doesn't have enough space for the growing children. Can't you imagine the state of the poor innocent ones in there" she retorted, visibly implicating that her anger had started to upsurge.
I just chuckled at her again.
"so you think this is funny then? Unbelievable. Please, name the price. I'll pay no matter how much it cost" the thing is, Serenity could have just chosen another land but that land there is the closest one to the main orphanage of St Paul and is just a walking distance from the school nearby.

Andrei spun around to look at Serenity. Her eyes pleading. He walked back to where she was standing, towering the pretty lady. "Do you really want that land? " he whispered audibly.
His face was mere inches from hers. Serenity was mesmerized by the Demi-God in front of her. Those piercing dark brown eyes that could melt any girl who would dare a chance to look at him, his dark brown hair which was neatly arranged into a perfect quiff and that sinful face that could turn any woman on, but not her! She refused to be swept off by his charms. Gathering her courage "yes"
Andrei smirked, he took a step forward, she stepped backward till the back of her knees hit the sofa. He took another step forward, she fell on the couch still catching her breath.
Please don't bend down please don't. Her mind chanted.
Bending down to meet her face. They were mere inches again. She could already feel his hot breath fanning against the surface of her face, sending unfamiliar tingles of foreign emotions on her stomach. Unknowingly, she blushed at the proximity. Then he leaned towards her ear, satisfied at the effect that he had on her.
"Marry me"

Bint of Gilgit ~ Pakistani Love Story ~ ONGOING ~
For Nazli, the world is limited from her tribe to the Forbidden Valley. For Asadullah, the world is limitless and his for taking. ***"You should be honored that a man like I have taken such an interest in you!" Asadullah smirked, swirling his small handgun on his index finger. The green-eyed girl paled - her skin already porcelain white and quite different from any other he had seen in the country before. She was definitely beautiful even in her less than impressive rags. "Asadullah hardly makes such a generous offer." He said, liking the self-praise more than he wanted to admit. She shook her head - her dainty fingers wringing in her golden braid. Little Goldilocks. "Think again, little girl. The blood of your people will be on your hands." ***The setting is in Gilgit in a fictional valley called the Forbidden Valley. The image is not mine. The story and characters are.
