Crusher and his mate, Rexy, had slept around the nest with their hatchlings, all snuggled up next to their parents.

The royal couple stayed together, feeding their kids, hunting, patrolling, keeping guard over the family and their nest.

At least for the moment.

No human would ever dare to come face to face with the Nublarian pair of Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Rexy's breathing and snoring caused her chest to rise and fall repeatedly as she slept soundly content next to her mate and children.

Only for an old familiar face to eventually arrive on the scene.

Who was silently crying that her deepest regret was that she was never able to see her son grow into a good king and father she knew he will become.

Crusher caught that familiar scent and woke up, eyes slowly blinking.

"Mother? How can this be?"

He yawned.

Rexy yawned and woke up as well.

"Crusher? Honey, what is it? Who was it?"

She asks, cuddling her mate and love of her life.

Rexy's eyes then darted from her mate, then to the female in front.

She didn't understand at first, but later on, her mind retraced back to when her mate told her about his mother.

Retracing that back to the present, Rexy realized slowly that it was her mother in law.

"Regina? How are you-- alive?"

The Queen asked, eyes bewildered and perplexed, confused.

"I do not know, but all that matters is that I am here, still kicking. And I am amazed and surprised that my son has married a beautiful queen to have my grandkids with.

Rexy, welcome to the family."

Regina said.

Rexy started to silently cry in happiness, knowing she was accepted, even if it was long ago.

"Thanks, Regina. Crusher told me about you. Because of that, I fell in love with your son and married him. No matter what, I promise to take care of Crusher with my life."

Rexy replied, smiling in tears of joy.

"I'm going to hold you to that, my daughter in law."

Said the former queen.

Crusher wrapped his tail around Rexy's, nuzzling her cheek.
