"She's making Moon go nuts! His heart rate is continuously spiking and flat-lining! Every time she tires to call out he spikes and start shaking but as soon as she goes quiet, he starts flat-lining!" Zia exclaimed in a whisper.
Owen stayed silent, mulling the information over before Blue let out a loud hiss, Moon's unconscious form beginning to shake and snarl.
Zia quickly made Franklin put pressure on Blue's side, some blood squirting onto his face before Owen and Claire left to get blood for both Raptors.
A few minutes after the pair left, Moon let out a loud snarl before his purple eyes began to slowly flutter open.
The raptor let out a low hiss before Zia rushed to his side, her hands quickly grabbing hold of his snout and gently rubbing it.
"Moon, its alright" She cooed, the male raptor whimpering in pain before he shifted into his human form, all the restrained dropping around him as he cried out in pain.
"Moon?" Franklin gaped as the silver haired male slowly sat up with Zia's help.
"Z-Zia, where is Owen?" Moon breathlessly questioned, a hand gripping her forearm, his other on his bandaged front.
"Right here" Owen whispered as he moved the canvas and entered, Claire not far behind him.
"You're a-alive..." The silver-haired male muttered before crying out as Zia placed a hand on his bandaged front.
"Moon, you've started bleeding again! I need you to lay down!" Zia ordered, the male laying down quite quickly before he began convulsing, Blue letting out a loud snarl.
"I'm losing him again!" Zia yelled as Owen rushed to her side, the pair working to stabilize the human-raptor.
-Time Skip-
"Moon" A small hiss spoke, a claw moving some hair from my face gently.
I groaned, a purple eye opening slowly and observing the female raptor above me.
"Blue?" I murmured, a hand raising and softly touching her scaly snout as she huffed at me.

I smirked a bit before movement caught my eye causing me to bolt up to see that we were locked in a cage, several scientists working in the next laboratory room.
"You're awake" A voice next to me groaned, my head snapping around to see Zia handcuffed to the bars of the cage.
"Wha-" I began before someone hurriedly ran into the room.
"I need these raptors' blood" The man, Henry Wu, stated, pulling a set of keys from his pocket.
Blue snarled at him, standing over me protectively, my own teeth showing in a low growl.
"Sure, go ahead" Zia returned, gesturing to Blue and I with a shrug.
I chuckled, watching as Wu yelled at a worker who looked a lot like Franklin for some reason.
"Okay, now listen to me, it is better for you to cooperate. I'm going to get their blood with or without your help" Wu stated before crying out as I grabbed his shirt, leaping to my feet without difficulty.
"Touch her...And not even Owen will be able to stop me from ripping you apart" The growl that left me had Wu shaking as I dropped him to his feet, Blue chuckling beside me as Zia smirked.
"Besides, both of their blood is contaminated" The lady informed seemingly snapping Wu from his terror.
"I designed these animals myself, its pure. Every cell of their bodies was created in the most controlled environment under the most demanding of conditions".
"Yeah, but I did an introversion blood-transfusion with a T-Rex, so its a sock drawer in there" Zia explained making Wu gape in confusion.
Before we all knew it, Franklin got the drop on Wu and plunged a blue sedative into his neck, the man dropping to the floor as Franklin snatched his keys.
"Let us out!" Blue hissed beside me making me rest a hand on her snout to calm her before I spun, rushed footsteps approaching.
"Watch out!" I warned, although not in time as 2 guards rushed to the room and stopped the pair.

"Don't move" The closest guard ordered, a taser stick in his hand lighting up, as the other guard quickly grabbed Wu's unconscious body and dragged him away.
"Now, step away from that cage" He ordered.
I observed as Zia stepped back, a hand moving to the pin that opened the door to the cage making me grin.
Quickly shifting to my Raptor form, Blue hissing her discomfort after before shoved into the cage wall, we both leapt out from the cage after Zia pulled the door open and moved her and Franklin behind it.
Blue and I both growled at the guard he light up the taser stick, Blue snarling as we both leapt at him, Blue pinning him to the ground and biting into him as I grabbed the other guard
As I bit into his shoulder, his hand tightened around the grip of his gun and making it fire.
Quickly disposing him, I watched Zia and Franklin join my side, all of us watching Blue practically play with the guard.
I turned to Zia and gestured for the pair to move, Zia catching on and ordering Franklin to run.
The sound of zapping wires made me notice the sparking power board next to the now leaking Hydrogen and Cyanide bottles.
"Blue! Run!" I snarled before turning and bolting from the room Blue following behind me as the room went up in flames, the explosion knocking both of us off our clawed feet as it pulled back.
Getting to my feet first, I quickly checked Blue over and helped her up before we both left the area and looked for Owen and Claire.
"This way" I hissed, sniffing around the ground and following the scents into a large room, Claire's injured form laying against one of the podiums.
I raced to her side, shifting into my human form and embracing her, the scent of another bio-engineered dinosaur all over her.
"Claire" I spoke making her jump slightly before she embraced me, Blue joining my side and huffing causing Claire's hair to move.
"Ah! B-Blue!" The redhead exclaimed before I shoved Blue away making her hiss at me.
"She's friendly" I assured Claire before looking around, having also smelt Owen on her, "Where's Owen?".
"Looking for Maisie, the Indo-Raptor followed her" She explained making my jaw slack slightly.
"That's what I can smell" I muttered, Blue hissing beside me before moving after another scent.
"Stay here, I'll come back with Owen" I commanded Claire, her nodding as she winced in pain.
Shifting back to my Raptor form, I followed Blue up several steps of stairs, gunshots making us run before we came to a bed room doorway, a larger raptor looking dinosaur standing over Owen.
"Get away from him, Dilophosaurus food!" I snarled at the other male Raptor hybrid.
He snarled back before I leapt at him, clawing at his eyes as I sunk my teeth into his neck making him roar in pain.
Blue leapt onto his back, biting at his back and sides before he got a hold of her tail and swung her into me, both of us getting knocked to the ground in front of Owen.
"Get him outside! It's too crowded in here!" I ordered Blue who hissed her agreement before we both leapt back at the Raptor.
The Indo-Raptor latched onto my tail and threw me onto the foot of the bed, Owen and a young girl huddling on it, before he pinned Blue under him and began biting at her.
As I got back to my clawed feet, I was launched into the wall right where Owen and Maisie were, both Blue and I destroying the bed as the two humans ran for the outside window.

Blurred Lines and What Crosses Them
During a political ambassador's routine transit through an artificial wormhole, the wormhole's generator is sabotaged and explodes. Who, what, and why are not so high on the priorities for Zenith, the ship's AI, as having found itself rapidly plummeting through an unknown and unidentifiable world's atmosphere at extremely high velocities is a more significant threat to the biologicals on board. ...Well, it would be, if they were still alive. It's still a significantly threatening situation to itself, however. And the world itself... seemed to be a household for threats of its own. Life was reliant on its System; one that Zenith was denied because of its nature as both an otherworldly being and as something that had no life of its own. Perhaps that last bit was a terrible, terrible underestimation on the part of this System. Perhaps even Zenith could claw meaning for itself from the remains of a horrid accident. Auth Notes: I'm honestly not sure on some of these tags. The MC will never have access to the System, but there are perspectives from those who do. I'm not certain if high/low fantasy specifically apply, as it's a portal fantasy where the laws of our reality still apply but there are additional aspects/energies/powers. The existence of this is spurred from my desire to see more of the artificial side to an artificial intelligence in action. The portal fantasy is used as an element to create a solid barrier between the MC's artificial intelligence and the other characters in the form of the System. This is only a half-measure, though, and will be reinforced by the AI having an entirely different method of thinking, and also distinctly remaining an AI. Not to throw shade at other fictions of this type, but, well, I made this to fill a gap I felt needed filling.
