《The Match ✓》Chapter 20💃🏻

The breeze cools me down as I walk into the ballet studio in my lunch break. It's such a lovely day and perhaps I think that because of how happy I woke up as I truly had the best sleep that I have ever had in my life, and I know it is because Steel was there with me, and he was there the whole night. Each time I think of him, I always find myself blushing madly with red in my cheeks that doesn't want to leave me alone. My boss had teased me about it, but she's rather sweet in that sense as she said she knew that I was having a crush on someone.
Walking inside it's a bit darker than it normally would be. I was told that the electricity is broken or something. There are lights in the lightbulb but much dimmer than they would be. Though it is going to get fixed tomorrow it will have to be like this today. I don't really mind it that much. I could dance in the pitch black and still feel the same feelings that I always do. I sigh as I walk into the locker room to change out of my clothes, I'm all alone here now as I normally am and I find that I do like it.
As I'm dressing into my outfit I hear a locker open somewhere on the other side and I figured that someone is in here like me, to dance, and yet I don't hear anyone. Shrugging despite the racing of my heart I continue and once I'm dressed I take my pointe shoes with me out of the locker room. I sit down and start stretching and then I put on the shoes before warming up for some minutes. There is no music because of the electricity though I don't needed music to dance.

Now I don't have anything to rehearse but I can just allow my feet to move my feet. I close my eyes as I get in position and then I start flying almost, the feeling is just incredible as I dance. Ballet is everything that I need it to be, it's my way of escaping the life that I find that I don't enjoy as much. It brings me to a whole another world where I don't have to life by certain rules, I can just dance and feel my heart beat in delight.
I can imagine everything that I like which can happen in the world. I'm dancing on top of the water and I can hear the soft sounds of birds chirping in the background that create the beautiful harmony alongside a harp which is playing on its own. A magical forest nearby that holds so many creatures that fill the world with beauty and wonder in ways that I cannot even describe. A smile on my face as I dance through the waves on a lake, gliding on there with such grace.
When I open my eyes once again and stop dancing I'm smiling and the brightness is inside my heart and body. But it is not around me. My eyes open to the pitch black which does leave me a bit scared as I don't really like the darkness and I have to get myself back to work. I sigh as I stretch a bit in the darkness, yet I don't feel as good as I did a couple of minutes ago when I was dancing however I just forgot about the reality for a second there and just danced.
"Lila" A voice whispers behind me but it is so far away yet so near me at the same time. I nearly jump up when the voice speaks my name, it's a rough voice, a rasp one too and it's so deep and cruel. A shiver runs down my entire body as I stand up and look around. The darkness is not kind to me as I can't see a thing in it, it's even hard to see my own hands even if they are right in front of my eyes, I can see the outlines and shadows of them.

This place is so dark as there are no windows nor any sort of light source beside the lights themselves, and they are broken. I start to make my way through the darkness and towards the locker room. Though walking over there is not as easy as it is dancing, I found myself nearly crashing into a wall but when I move to the side the wall moves along with me. The wall moves. I gasp when I notice that it's not a wall at all. It's a person. "Hello" I slowly speak, my voice showing the fear that is jumping through my veins.
The person doesn't speak but I can see in the darkness as my eyes are getting used to it that the person is moving, slightly. But they are moving. It's not a mirror since each time I move the person doesn't, besides the mirrors are on the other side, I think. I'm quite lost. "Hello. I'm Lila" I say again, hoping that the person would speak, but they don't. The person is still standing there when a door opens. "Lila!" I hear Alfredo speak. "Yes?" I ask him in the darkness, I can see the light and I can see him by the door.
"The lights will be on in just a second" He calls out to me, and then he walks back but as I turn to face the person once again I realize that the person that was just in front of me is gone. Confused I look around yet in the darkness it's a bit hard to do so as my eyes are trying to see I notice that the lightbulbs in the air are flickering and then all of a sudden they come on and the whole studio lights up. Yet here I stand, alone.
