《Stranded》part 16

Ant made sure he took good care of Dec over the next couple of days after his terrifying ordeal with the shark and thankfully, the pain from the jellyfish sting soon began to ease.
"You know what we should do tomorrow?" Ant beamed,as he and Dec tucked into their fish dinners.
"What?" Dec asked curiously.
"Have some fun" Ant grinned.
"How do you propose we do that?" Dec replied, with very little interest.
"There's loads of things we could do" Ant replied confidently "make sandcastles, bury each other in the sand,go swimming, hide and seek,a treasure hunt, school sports day"
"School sports day?" Dec laughed in disbelief.
"Come on Decs" Ant smiled "don't be an old sour puss..and you know what?"
"What?" Dec asked casually.
"We haven't even played scrabble yet" Ant grinned.
"Forgot about that" Dec frowned "do we even know where it is?"
"In the bag" Ant replied "sounds like a fun day eh?"
Ant nudged Dec in the ribs playfully.
"I guess so" Dec smiled, now finding Ants enthusiasm for the idea, rather infectious "ok,let's do it"
"Good" Ant stated "we can call it..."
He paused for a moment, before a huge grin spread across his face "ANT AND DECS DAY...OF...FUN"
"Such an idiot" Dec laughed.
"That's decided then" Ant beamed "but no sulking if you lose at scrabble"
"I do not sulk" Dec retorted sulkily.
"I rest my case" Ant laughed "so tomorrow will be just for fun and relaxation,no fishing or collecting mangoes or water,we have plenty already anyway"
"Ok" Dec sighed "if it'll keep you happy"
"It will" Ant smiled.
The next day, after they'd had their mango breakfast,Ant was raring to go.
"What shall we do first? He enquired.
"Go for a swim?" Dec shrugged unenthusiasticly.
"Race ya" Ant shouted out as he suddenly shot up and ran towards the sea.
"Hey" Dec shouted back, running to try and catch up with Ant "you big cheater"
"I won" Ant shouted triumphantly as he splashed around in the shallow water.
"Big cheater" Dec scowled "I'll get you"
Dec immediately started kicking water at Ant,drenching his shorts and T shirt.
"Can't catch me" Ant laughed,as he made his way out a little deeper.
"I'm not even going to try after the other day" Dec replied "I'm staying close to the shore"
"Chicken" Ant laughed.
"I am not a chicken" Dec frowned "I was nearly eaten by a shark"
"De de...de de...de de" Ant sang the theme tune from the Jaws film that had terrified both of them so much when they were kids and placed his hand above his head, mimicking a sharks fin.
"Idiot" Dec laughed and quickly approached and pounced on top of an unexpecting Ant,pushing his head under the water.

"Little git" Ant giggled,as he resurfaced, spluttering slightly "I'll get you for that"
Dec did his best to swim away, but the fact he was laughing so much at his sweet revenge against Ant,made it incredibly difficult.
Dec let out a delighted squeal as Ant suddenly grabbed him from behind with both hands and lifted him up into the air, throwing him back into the sea with one almighty lunge.
"Do it again" Dec laughed,as he came up for air.
Ant was only too happy to oblige, picking Dec up continuously and throwing him back down as he laughed with glee.
"Get up on my shoulders" Ant smiled.
Dec was only too happy to do so and he was soon being tipped backwards into the water over and over again.
"Race ya back to the beach" Dec suddenly announced as he flipped onto his back and kicked his feet as hard as he could.
As Dec was almost to the beach,Ant caught up,grabbed him around the waist and swung him around in the water, leaving him facing back out to sea.
"HEY" Dec shouted,as Ant waded in the shallow water back to shore, with Dec stumbling as he tried desperately to catch up.
"I won again" Ant announced gleefully "this is just like the best Ant versus Dec ever"
"Only cos you're a big, fat, cheater" Dec snapped as he waded out of the sea.
"Aww,Decs" Ant laughed,as he tousled Decs wet hair "you being a bit of a sore loser?"
"No" Dec snapped "you're just a cheat"
"Yeah,so you keep saying" Ant grinned "TAG"
"What the hell?" Dec replied as Ant shoved him and ran off along the beach, almost causing him to topple over.
"YOU'RE IT" Ant called back towards Dec "CAN'T CATCH ME"
"We'll see about that" Dec mumbled to himself as he broke into a sprint to catch up with Ant.
Dec had been pretty fit when they were back home,as much as he liked the occasional takeaway,he spent a lot of time in the gym and going for runs when time permitted,so he was pretty confident he could out run Ant,who often spent his leisure time lazing in front of the television.
Dec noticed that Ant had already stopped to catch his breath, before taking off again when he saw how close Dec was getting.
Ant quickly darted into the forest.
"I'M STILL GONNA GET YOU IN THERE" Dec shouted out, running after Ant.
Once in the forest, there was no sign of Ant.
"THIS AIN'T HIDE AND SEEK" Dec shouted out "GET YOURSELF OUT HERE NOW"
A small rustle of leaves and a stifled giggle soon made Ants whereabouts obvious to Dec and as Ant realised he'd been found,he tried to make a desperate dash back into the open.

"TAG...YOU'RE IT" Dec shouted as he grabbed Ants arm, before sprinting off back down the beach towards their little campsite.
"Took your time didn't you?" Dec grinned as he sat casually on the sand waiting for Ant to catch up.
"I'm bloody knackered" Ant panted,as he flopped down next to Dec.
"You're unfit is what you are" Dec laughed "what do you want to do next then?"
"Have a rest and a drink" Ant replied.
"Come on" Dec grinned "all this was your idea...oh I know, let's make a sandcastle"
"Ok" Ant smiled "just give me two minutes"
"What shall we build?" Dec asked.
"Anything you like?" Ant replied "how about an actual castle?"
"Yeah,let's do that" Dec beamed.
The boys spent the next couple of hours making the most amazing sandcastle, complete with moat, turrets and just about anything else they could think of.
After it was completed, they stood up to admire their impressive workmanship.
"That's pretty damn amazing even if I do say so myself" Ant announced.
"It really is" Dec nodded "shame we can't take a picture of it"
"Click" Ant said.
"What?" Dec laughed "what was that?"
"That was me taking a picture of it in my mind" Ant grinned "to keep forever"
"You're ridiculous" Dec laughed.
"Go on" Ant smiled "you take one,you know you want to"
"I am NOT doing that" Dec exclaimed.
"Click" Ant said again.
"Will you stop clicking?" Dec snapped "you sound crazy"
"Just taking pictures from a different angle" Ant grinned,as he walked around the sand sculpture "click...click"
"Just stop it Ant" Dec ordered, although he now couldn't help but laugh at what Ant was insisting on doing.
"I'll stop once you've taken a picture for your memory box up here" Ant smiled while tapping his head "click"
"Ok,ok" Dec sighed "I'll take a stupid,imaginary photo...click...happy now?"
"You weren't even looking at it" Ant winked "how can you take a picture of something you're not looking at?"
Dec gave Ant the filthiest look he could muster up before staring at the sandcastle "click"
"Only taking the one?" Ant grinned.
"Yes,I am" Dec retorted.
"Ok,good" Ant laughed "so what shall we do with it now?"
"Dunno" Dec shrugged "leave it here I guess"
"You know what would really be fun?" Ant mused.
"What?" Dec enquired.
"Stamping it to pieces?" Ant laughed.
"What?" Dec asked surprised "after all the hard work we put into it?"
"The tide will probably wash it away overnight anyway" Ant pointed out "might as well have some fun and get in there first and we can always build another one another day"
A huge grin soon spread across Decs face "ok,let's do it,let's smash its face in"
"Running jump?" Ant suggested.
"Definitely" Dec replied.
The two men made their way a few metres along the beach,Ant took Decs hand and they ran towards the sandcastle as fast as they could, letting out a bellowing roar as they did so.
"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH" they shouted as they ran along the sand and jumped as high as they could possibly manage into the air, before landing on their backsides on top of the castle.
They quickly arose to their feet and kicked over what was left of their work of art, until there was nothing left but a large mound of uneven sand.
"That was brilliant" Dec laughed as the two of them flopped down onto the sand.
"Yeah,it was" Ant agreed.
"All this exertion has made me hungry" Dec stated.
"Yeah,me too" Ant nodded.
The boys had been having so much fun throughout the day, that it hadn't even crossed their minds that they hadn't eaten since breakfast,so stopped to have their fill of juicy, ripe mangoes.
"Scrabble?" Ant suggested,as he wiped mango juice from around his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Bring it on" Dec grinned.
"You can't have that" Ant pointed out halfway through the game.
"Why not?" Dec frowned "it's a proper word"
"Dick is not a proper word" Ant stated.
"Yes,it is" Dec insisted "it's a name,short for Richard"
"And you know very well that names aren't allowed" Ant shook his head despairingly.
"Dick is a word" Dec insisted.
"Use it in a sentence then" Ant laughed.
"Anthony McPartlin, you're a dick" Dec grinned.
"And that's slang and it's not allowed" Ant replied "and you're just being a dirty boy"
"Fine" Dec snapped "don't want to play this stupid game anyway"
As predicted,Dec got up and stomped off in a strop, causing much amusement to Ant.
Decs youngest child syndrome was in full flow once again and Ant knew he would sulk until he got his own way, like he always had when he was growing up and in all honesty, still did.
"Ok Dec" Ant called out "I'll let you have dick"
Dec returned to the game which was soon completed.
Ant tallied up the scores.
"Well done Decs" Ant smiled "you won"
"Did I?" Dec beamed triumphantly.
"Yeah,ya did" Ant confirmed,as he screwed up the piece of paper he had been keeping score on,which in reality showed that Ant had beaten Dec by a considerable amount of points, but watching Decs complete joy at his supposed win, made Ants little white lie more than worth it.
"I've had a brilliant day Ant" Dec announced as he and Ant sat on the beach, watching the sun go down "it was a great idea...thanks"
"Me too kidda" Ant smiled "nothing could top it"
Although there actually was one thing that could definitely top it.
And that was a very faint light, glimmering out at sea, that Ant and Dec were yet to notice!

Just like to point out that I don't own My Hero Academia, it belongs to someone else and all that jazz. Please don't sue me, cheers. Neither do I own the cover photo, if the owner wants it removed, message me. Heavily inspired by another fiction on the site called Ascending Hero by WinterFrost.
