《Baby of the family》part 115

Ant admitted he'd failed miserably in his quest to look after Isla and handed the sleeping baby back to her mum.
"Fifty quid" Dec grinned as he held his hand out.
"I don't have any cash on me right now" Ant yawned.
"He's not going to make you pay" Ali laughed.
"Yes I am" Dec replied seriously.
"No,you're not" Ali insisted,as she glanced around her messy home "it looks like he's been through enough this afternoon"
"Er...yeah,sorry about that guys" Ant winced "I'll clear it up"
"No,you won't" Ali smiled kindly as she handed Isla to her dad "I'll take care of it"
"I'll help you" Anne-Marie offered.
As the two women started taking care of things,Isla started to stir and a huge smile spread across her face as she realised she had woken up in her daddys arms.
"Hello sweetheart" Dec cooed "you had a lovely time with your uncle Ant didn't you?"
"She screamed the whole time" Ant frowned.
"Oh dear" Dec laughed "naughty girl"
Isla immediately giggled along with Decs infectious laugh.
"Bloody typical" Ant moaned "look at her now"
"You ready to admit that babies aren't always that easy now then?" Dec grinned.
"No,they're not" Ant sighed "I admit defeat and don't you dare ask me to babysit again until she's at least five"
"It's a deal" Dec laughed "and don't worry about the fifty quid, being right is reward enough for me"
"I bet it is" Ant rolled his eyes,he was happy to put up with Decs smugness,he was just relieved that Ali and Dec were home, should Isla decide to have any further meltdowns.
It was something that Dec would rib Ant about for many months to come,Ant didn't mind though,he always took Decs teasing in the good natured way that it was intended,as did Dec when it was the other way round.
Soon it was time for the boys to return to the jungle.
They were looking forward to this years I'm a celebrity more than any other year.
Ant couldn't wait to reclaim his position next to Dec and Dec was overjoyed to have him back.
For Ant,it seemed like a lifetime ago that he was last in Australia, even though it had only been two years.A hell of a lot had happened in those two years after all.
Dec was mulling things over in his mind on the long flight over.
"I missed you so much last year" Dec sighed as they both relaxed into their plane seats.
"So you keep saying" Ant laughed.
"Sorry" Dec grinned "can't help myself,it's just going to be so great to have you back by my side that's all"
"Yeah" Ant nodded "and I can't wait to be back"

The series was a huge success and Ant was welcomed back with open arms, just like he had been with Britain's Got Talent earlier in the year, his comeback was now complete.
Although one thing the boys hadn't been expecting and weren't particularly happy about, was when they were finally cajoled into doing a bushtucker trial at the end of the series, although it wasn't to be broadcast until the following year.
True, they had done the celebrity cyclone trial many years earlier, but that had been fun, this one definitely wouldn't be.
"You're going to love it" Joel Dommett, the presenter of spin off show 'I'm a celebrity...extra camp' and the boys good friend declared.
"No,we won't" Ant stated in a matter of fact fashion "you do it,you'll love it"
"Yeah,I think I'll give that a miss thanks" Joel laughed.
"How do we look?" Dec grinned after he and Ant had changed into the jungle outfits of red trousers and navy blue T shirts that all campmates wore.
"You look gorgeous darling" Joel joked.
"As always" Dec winked.
"Let's get started shall we?" Joel asked mischievously.
"Oh God" Ant frowned "I'm so not ready for this"
"As long as there's no pigeons" Dec replied.
"Or spiders" Ant nodded.
"Let's find out shall we?" Joel grinned.
Both of the boys rolled their eyes in horror as Joel informed them about the dreaded helmet trial that they were about to endure...unscrewing stars in a box in front of them while wearing a plastic helmet full of jungle critters.
As Decs helmet was filled full of huge spiders,he kept his eyes firmly shut and concentrated on the task in hand, although he never let on to Ant and Joel that he was actually singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in his head over and over again,it was a tactic that worked perfectly well as that part of the trial was soon over and he gleefully watched Ant take on the same task, but with snakes.
"Bloody spiders" Dec moaned to Ant as they made their way to the next trial area "that was absolutely horrendous"
"Yeah,it looked it" Ant nodded "you did well though, don't think I'd have been able to cope with their creepy little legs, crawling all over my face"
"Yeah,it wasn't pleasant" Dec agreed "on the plus side,I don't think I'll ever be scared of a house spider again"
"Oh right" Ant laughed "so you'll get rid of them yourself in future will ya?instead of running to Ali like a big baby?"
"Well,I don't know about that" Dec grinned "she's from Australia after all,she can handle what we have back home, they're nothing compared to here"

"Yeah" Ant laughed "she's handy to have around that's for sure"
"You can talk anyway" Dec moaned "you're terrified of spiders"
"I know I am" Ant nodded "but I had a face full of snakes"
"Yeah,I'm not sure I could have done that" Dec mused "I think it's a draw so far then"
"Yeah" Ant agreed "hate to think what other horrors Joel has lined up for us"
"As long as it's not the eating trial" Dec frowned "then I'll cope"
"Oh God" Ant replied "please don't let it be that"
The boys were relieved as Joel informed them about the next trial.Basically just being gunged and smothered with critters from a height while trying to catch stars, yes it would be gross and disgusting, but bearable, although it was to prove that neither Ant nor Dec were that great at catching.
After they cleaned themselves up,they were relieved to hear that the third trial would be the final one.
"Oh for fucks sake" Ant frowned as they noticed the table and two chairs ahead of them "look what it is"
"I might have known they'd do this" Dec frowned "they probably think we've got off lightly so far"
"Problem boys?" Joel grinned gleefully.
"Not at all" Ant replied confidently as he and Dec took their seats at opposite ends of the table "bring it on"
"Famous last words" Joel laughed "you're gonna love this"
"No we won't" Ant replied sternly "will you stop saying that?"
"Sorry, can't help myself" Joel smirked "it's funny"
"It's about as funny as a bunion" Dec mumbled.
"Best get on with it then" Joel grinned.
The boys were then put through the horrors of having to eat and drink some of the most horrendous delicacies imaginable, with Ant determinedly working his way through a witchety grub,a glass of blended vomit fruit and the dreaded fish eye,but he was pleased with himself that he'd done it and even happier that he'd managed to keep it all down,
Dec struggled a bit more on that front, with a lot of retching making both Ant and Joel wince as to what the outcome might be.
Ant couldn't help but have absolutely hysterics at the sounds coming from Dec as he retched his way through a fermented duck egg,a glass of blended cockroaches and a piece of pigs penis.
"Oh my God" Ant laughed "the noises coming from you"
"Sorry" Dec burped "can't help it,just trying to concentrate on keeping it down"
"Yeah,please do" Joel encouraged.
"Ugh" Dec moaned afterwards as he and Ant made their way back to the hotel "that was the worse thing I've ever had to do"
"Me too" Ant frowned "although Mam forcing me to eat brussel sprouts every Christmas when I was a kid comes pretty close"
"I need to clean my teeth" Dec announced "I ate a penis"
"Yeah ya did" Ant laughed "and do us a favour, have a word with that wife of yours will ya?she's in my bad books right now"
"Oh I definitely will" Dec laughed.
Ali had resumed being the boys manager after having a break for maternity leave and she had actually approved and signed off the trial that the boys took on.
"Ali?" Dec called out as he entered their hotel suite.
"Shhh" she replied "Isla's having a nap"
"Sorry" Dec whispered.
"How was the show?" Ali smiled.
"Brilliant" Dec replied "didn't you watch it?"
"Some of it" Ali nodded "but Isla was demanding my attention,so missed a lot"
"Little madam" Dec laughed at the thought of his headstrong daughter.
"Yeah" Ali smiled "she's into everything at the moment, glad the show went well anyway"
"It did" Dec replied and leaned forward to kiss his wife.
"Ugh,your breath stinks" Ali reeled in disgust.
"Yes,it does" Dec grinned "and I wonder why that is?"
"No idea" Ali shrugged cheekily "ate something a bit off did you?"
"You could say that" Dec laughed "someone obviously thought it would be hilarious for me to eat pigs dick"
He proceeded to chase Ali around their hotel suite in an attempt to pin her down and give her a tiny taste of what he had been subjected to.
"Declan, stop it" she laughed "you'll wake Isla up"
"No I won't" Dec grinned as he finally managed to pin his wife playfully to the bed and kiss her all over her face and mouth.
"Yuk,stop it" she demanded "you're gross"
"And who's fault is that?" Dec asked as he carried on the relentless kissing.
"Yours" Ali laughed "for eating such disgusting things"
"Who's fault was that?" Dec repeated.
"Yours" Ali laughed.
"Who's?" Dec pushed.
"Just yours" Ali giggled.
"Nope" Dec replied as he kissed her fully on the lips.
"Ok,ok" Ali muttered under the pressure of Decs lips "it was my fault"
"That's more like it" Dec grinned "and by the way, you're sacked as our manager"
"Please go and clean your teeth now" Ali begged.
"Yeah,I will" Dec smiled,as he got up off of the bed and made his way to the bathroom "think I may have a bit of pigs penis stuck in them"
"Eeeewwww" Ali laughed "get out of here"
Ant and Dec returned from Australia triumphant and looking forward to welcoming back the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway early the following year.
They couldn't wait to bring it back, bigger and better than before, after it's forced sabbatical. The 2020 series was going to be amazing,or so they hoped.
If only they could have foreseen what craziness laid ahead, not only for them, but for the whole world!
