《Baby of the family》part 74

As the wedding plans got into full swing over the next few months, work for Ant and Dec became busier and busier.
As well as all the commitments they had to Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm a Celebrity, they were offered advertisements and guest spots on other shows, not to mention the award ceremonies they had to attend, where they proudly picked up various awards.
That left very little time for anything else and before they knew it,Ant and Lisas wedding day was almost here.
A few weeks before that though, the much anticipated stag night was about to get underway. Two of them in fact,Dec hadn't held back when arranging them and had been determined to make them as crazy and wild as possible. He knew Ant was being driven nuts by the fact he had absolutely no idea what was planned.
"Just give us a clue will ya?" Ant begged as they got ready for the first celebration.
"You will get a clue once everyone has arrived" Dec teased.
Lisa was having her hen do on the same night and some of her friends would be staying over at her and Ants place, while Ant and anyone else who wanted to,would crash at Decs.
"All I know is that you're going to love it" Dec teased,as the first of the duos friends rang the doorbell.
Soon Decs living room was heaving with Ants friends from London and Newcastle,Ant was surprised and delighted about the pals who had made the effort to travel down south,he had no idea that they were coming and he was already impressed with how things were going,Dec was obviously going to do an amazing job and Ant was excited, but slightly nervous about exactly what was about to occur.
After everyone had caught up with the goings on in each others lives and knocked back a beer or two,Dec sat them all down for the announcement.Even in Decs huge living room, there wasn't enough space for all twenty three guests, but no one cared if they had to sit on the floor.
Not everyone knew what Dec had planned,a couple of his and Ants closest friends who lived nearby were in on it as they'd helped with the arrangements, but everyone else was as clueless as Ant.
"Here's your clue Ant" Dec grinned,as he placed a box containing a game of monopoly down in front of him.
"Um...what?" Ant frowned "it's monopoly"
"Well observed Anthony" Dec laughed.
"We're playing monopoly?" Ant asked, trying to hide the disappointment in his voice.
"Yes,we are" Dec grinned.
"Stop teasing him Dec" Frank, one of the boys good friends who had helped with the arrangements smiled.
"Ok" Dec replied cheekily "we're not actually playing monopoly, but it does have a huge part in proceedings"
"What do you mean?" Ant asked curiously.
"Well" Dec grinned, studying Ants face closely to enjoy his reaction "we are going on a pub crawl of all the places on the monopoly board"
"What the hell?" Ant laughed in stunned surprise "there's loads of them, how are we going to do that?"
"That's why we're starting early" Dec laughed, glancing at the clock sitting proudly on the mantelpiece.
"It's only 2 o'clock" Ant laughed "and we've already had one or two beers each, how are we going to cope with drinking in...um..."
"Twenty two" Dec replied helpfully.
"Twenty two places?" Ant enquired.
"I'm sure we'll manage somehow, and we're not even including the stations and things like that" Dec grinned "it's gonna be ace"

"Yeah,I guess it is" Ant smiled, this was quite a unique idea Dec had thought up and it was bound to be brilliant, although he didn't even want to think about the state they'd all be in by the end of the night,he was only glad that Dec had ordered a huge lunchtime takeaway earlier, which they usually only ever had in the evenings, now he knew it had been to line their stomachs and at least soak up some of the alcohol.
Ant was still the practical one though and pointed one thing out.
"London is a big place Decs" he mused "how are we gonna get to all these places?"
"By cab of course" Dec replied "for the ones that aren't in walking distance of each other, unless you fancy jumping on the tube on a busy Saturday?"
"Er,no thanks" Ant smiled "taxis are fine with me"
"Don't you worry about anything Ant" Dec grinned "everything is under control,I've got it all in hand, all you have to do is enjoy it"
"Ok" Ant replied sheepishly "I'm at your mercy"
"You definitely are" Dec winked cheekily "oh and there's one more thing"
"What's that?" Ant asked cautiously.
"You'll be wearing this?" Dec grinned as he pulled a leather outfit out from behind the sofa.
"What the hell is that?" Ant laughed.
"It's a biker outfit" Dec informed him.
Ant stood up and held the heavy trousers and studded jacket against his body.
"I'll look like one of the village people" Ant laughed.
"That's the whole point" Dec grinned "oh and you'll be getting changed into a different outfit at every pub or bar we go to"
"What?" Ant laughed raucously.
"It took some arranging, but the venues have got the outfits tucked behind their bars ready for you" Dec grinned "you'll get changed in the loos before we go on to the next place,or when we first arrive, doesn't really matter"
"This is nuts, you know that right," Ant shook his head playfully.
"Yep,that's exactly what I wanted" Dec laughed "come on lads, let's get this show on the road shall we?"
"Umm...I guess I need to get changed then?" Ant muttered.
"Yeah, you do" Dec nodded "we've got a fleet of taxis booked to take us all into the West end, starting off in Leicester Square"
"You'll need a fair few taxis for all of us" Ant mused.
"Not a problem" Dec smiled "the local cab office knows me well, they know they'll be earning a fortune tonight"
"I'll contribute towards the fares" Ant offered.
"You absolutely will not" Dec replied sternly "this is your night and I won't have you spending a single penny, everything is taken care of,don't you worry about that"
"Thank you Declan" Ant smiled "this is gonna be great,I just know it"
"It had better be" Dec replied "I've been planning it for months, now hurry up and get changed"
Just a few minutes later, all the guys present were falling about laughing at Ants over exaggerated biker outfit, with the studs, chains and bright pictures adorning it and tight leather trousers.
"Yeah, all right you lot" Ant joined in the laughter and posed for photographs "I know I look ridiculous"
"You look perfect" Dec smiled.
A few minutes later,a queue of taxis were lined up on Ant and Decs street, ready to take the boys and their friends into town.
Once in the bar in Leicester Square,Ant and Dec were immediately recognised by some members of the public and obligingly had their photos taken, although Ant cringed at the thought of where those pictures of him might end up,leather definitely wasn't his first choice when it came to his attire, very far from it in fact.

He was hot as well,it was June and the weather was pretty warm,he wished he was in shorts and T shirt.
"Don't worry Ant" Dec whispered as he noticed Ant perspiring "the next outfit will be a lot cooler"
After downing their beers, they made their way to the next pub in nearby Trafalgar Square by foot. They would jump in black cabs whenever they needed to,or call their taxi firm again, whichever was quickest and most convenient, cost was not an issue.
"Wow" Ant stated "why is it so quiet in here?where is everyone?"
"Some of the places let us hire them out privately for half an hour or so,great eh?" Dec grinned.
"Yeah, great" Ant replied,as much as he loved his and Decs fans, sometimes it was nice just to be left alone while they were out.
"This is for you" the barman announced, handing a plastic carrier bag to Ant.
"Toilets are over there" Dec grinned "go and get changed then"
Ant didn't even dare imagine what was in the bag,but it wasn't as bad as he expected and he emerged from the toilet to rapturous applause from his friends as he stood in front of them in an England football strip and Kevin Keegan style curly wig.
"I quite like this one" Ant grinned "can imagine playing for England"
"Yeah, but you're a goalie" Dec pointed out, referring to Ants favourite football position "Kevin Keegan wasn't"
"Minor detail" Ant laughed "and you're right,it is cooler, except for this damn wig"
"Suits you though" Dec laughed.
"Where should I put this?" Ant asked as he held the byker gear in the air.
"Give it to the barman" Dec replied "they're going to deal with it at every place we go?"
"Really?" Ant frowned.
"Yes,really" Dec rolled his eyes "now will you stop worrying about such trivial things,it's all taken care of,now just get on with enjoying yourself"
"Ok,ok" Ant smiled, taking a bottle of his favourite beer from the barman.
As the day turned into evening, the group were getting steadily more drunk with every bar they visited and Ant had been dressed in an impressive variety of outfits, including a fireman,a doctor,a chef,a bus conductor,a policeman, superman,a tiger and a fairy, which was Decs personal favourite so far,he couldn't stop laughing at Ants glittery wings and sparkly hairband.Ant had to admit,he was really enjoying the surprise of what he was to wear each time.
Someone suggested it would be a good idea to get something to eat now it was early evening,so they invaded the nearest pizza restaurant, much to the delight of the owners. They then jumped into taxis and went on to the next place, although some of the drivers weren't so keen on having such a drunken group of men in their cabs, there couldn't be many black cab drivers in London who hadn't had the experience of passengers who had overdone it with the booze, often resulting in a pile of vomit in the back of their cars.Dec and the others were warned that they would be charged for the cost of cleaning up if anyone did that.
Dec managed to assure the drivers that none of his party were that drunk, only slightly tipsy and they thankfully made it to the next place without incident.
"This has been great Decs" Ant whispered into his friends ear "I've had such a great time, thank you for doing this"
"It's not over yet" Dec pointed out "we've got loads more places left"
"I'm gonna be under the table" Ant laughed.
"We all are" Dec laughed, looking around at the boisterous group "but for now, let's be on top of the table"
Dec proceeded to climb up onto the nearest table and motioned for Ant to get up and join in with his impromptu version of 'Let's get ready to rhumble'
It went down a storm with everyone in the bar who all egged the boys on and sang along, well the few who knew the words did,but the more sensible of the boys group cringed at the thought that one or both of them might fall and end up with broken limbs just weeks before Ants wedding day.
The rest of the evening went off without a hitch, some of the group had even started drinking soft drinks, but Ant and Dec had no plans to go own that route.
"Last place" Dec announced as they arrived at the pub in Old Kent Road "let's make it a good one"
"Hi lads" the barman welcomed the group inside "I'm amazed you're all still standing"
He knew he was the last one on the boys monopoly board tour and was surprised they'd even made it there at all,he had expected them to have given up long before they reached him.
"Feeling a bit pissed are we?" He laughed at Ant,who was swaying slightly as he stood at the bar.
"Snot me,snot pished at all" Ant slurred, causing Dec to collapse into fits of giggles.
"You said snot" he giggled.
"Did snot" Ant laughed drunkenly.
"Alright Mr McPartlin" the barman laughed, handing a bag over "I guess this is for you"
"Last outfit is it?" Ant enquired.
"Yeah" Dec grinned "and it's the best one yet"
Ant didn't remember anything after that, the copious amounts of beer and a few shorts he'd drank over the course of the day and evening saw to that.
Next thing he knew,he was slumped over a table in Macdonalds, being nudged awake.
"Ant,Ant" Dec prodded him in the ribs over and over again.
"What?I'm sleepy" Ant mumbled.
"I can see that" Dec giggled drunkenly.
"Hungry" Ant stated as he sat up.
"You've just had a Big Mac and a cheeseburger Ant,as well as french fries" Stefan, one of the guys laughed.
"Did I?" Ant asked confused.
"Yeah,ya did" Stefan giggled "yous a bit drunk"
"No,yous a bit drunk" Ant slurred.
"I is a bit drunk" Dec declared and stood up in true Spartacus style.
"No I am drunk"
"No I am drunk"
"No I am drunk"
All the group joined in with taking the mickey out of the old film, much to the amusement of the members of the public around them.
"Kirk Douglas definitely should have said 'I'm drunk' instead of 'I'm Spartacus' in that film" Dec laughed "would have made it much better"
"I am Spartacus and I am drunk" Ant stated proudly, attempting to get to his feet and look at himself in the diners large wall mirrors "and I am..."
"You are what?" A couple of Ants friends asked in unison.
Ant peered at himself blankly for a few moments, confused at the reflection that was staring back at him, before uttering a sentence that he never imagined would pass his lips.
"I am a French maid!"

School-life & Swordfights: A Clubs and Stubs Tale
Warning: Clubs and Stubs contains strong language and situations throughout that may not be suitable for younger readers. "This story takes place in a fantasy world with a modernish setting. It mainly follows four students of Hardires High School who are members of one of the greatest Team Arena Squads in the history of gladiatorial school athletics. Already two-time high-school world champions, they have entered their fourth and final year of high school in hopes of capturing a third straight world championship—something that no other school on the continent has accomplished. As they prepare for an upcoming match with a rival school, it becomes evident that keeping their two-and-a-half-year winning streak alive will be tougher than expected. As both personal and external problems abound for the student-gladiators, can they manage to keep it together under the constant pressure of being the perfect fighting unit? A blend of action, drama, adventure, and humor collide in this brand-new series!" Thanks so much for checking out my story! This is the first time that I've released any of my work to a public space so any feedback, be it positive or negative (but please be respectful if so) would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that this story is only the beginning of a long-running series of short stories set in the Clubs and Stubs universe. Temporary Book Cover Design by David Watson The release schedule is rather tentative, but the goal is to release a chapter every 2-4 days. I want to make sure that every scene is the best it can be before it’s released, so it may take a bit longer especially if it's a longer chapter. However, no chapter should take more than a week to be released. Each scene varies in length, but are usually between 1,000 to 2,000 words.
