The following morning, Demetri and Gaia leave just after all the Cullen children go to school. Thankfully, the reservation high school finishes a few weeks prior to the one in Forks.

Gaia walks at a human pace through the wildlife and rejuvenating any dying or dead flora she comes across. Demetri just walks behind her knowing this is how she heals, she heals by healing others and that's what he loves. "So, who we meeting out in the middle of a forest were we could die?" Demetri asks with a bit of playfulness to his tone.

Gaia scoffs and rolls her eyes "Dem, if you wish to be murdered you just gotta ask father. I'm sure he would personally rip you limb from limb and slowly burn them. If you do die though, remember you're leaving me behind with a true mate who doesn't know or want me." She knows playing that card was wrong but she loves teasing him and getting him to beg for forgiveness. That's the bond they have.

"No Gaia. I don't want that. Edward is an idiot for not seeing you for you. You bring life to everything, literally and metaphorically. You restore plants to their prime, help heal animals who are either injured or sick, you donate money to children's hospitals anonymously of course. You are a saint in this dark world. His gaze is just tainted with tempting blood. Bella is the reason that he can't see you and the bond. She is blocking it." Demetri explains while holding both her hands in his. Unknowing to him, they had already made it to the treaty line.

He hears a low rumbling growl and quickly turns and stands in a defensive stance. Gaia giggles "Oh Paul, you know I don't get scared when I hear that. You forget I can actually understand your growl." Her playful scolding confuses her brother immensely so when he makes eye contact with said wolf and feels the mate pull, he falls to his knees.

Paul, however, imprints with the eye contact and immediately phases to his human form not caring for being naked. "Oh god! The pack link. They...they might see I imprinted. Oh god. What will they say?" Paul continues to mutter incoherently about the pack and being gay for the following ten minutes much to Gaia's displeasure.

"Paul!" No response. "Paul!" Gaia shouts a little louder again with no response. "PAUL LAHOTE YOU WILL SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP OR SO HELP ME GOD!" Gaia screams and now being completely shocked that the small girl shouted, sits down like an obedient puppy and has tears streaming own his cheeks. "Oh Paul. You know that being gay isn't a bad thing." The princess quickly walks over and pulls him into her lap and cradles him like a baby soothing him.

"You will love Demetri and Demetri will love you. You are very similar in base personality. You both were players to hide your true selves, both scared to be open about your sexuality. I told you about how accepting our coven was to his sexuality and we are a bunch of ancient leeches who are typically set in the past. When I've calmed you down, I'll go talk to Sam. I'll make sure you are accepted. If not, we can always escape to Volterra in the middle of the night. Me, you and Demi. I would feel like a massive third wheel but hey you are both brothers. Also, you'll be my brother-in-law in no time at all." She jokes while playing with Paul's hair to stop the tears.

"But what if they kick me out of the pack? I'll have nowhere to go Flo. The pack is my family. You know my home life isn't exactly perfect. Hell it isn't even close, if the pack shuts me out I'll have nothing." Paul explains in soft hiccups while staring at her with big teary doe eyes which melts her heart.

"Oh Wolfie. That's just not true. You have me and Demetri. You'll also have the whole Volturi Coven as your family. Mates are special to us so you can live with us and maybe just stay away from Uncle Caius for a while. He still is prejudice against shifters even though his qualms are with Children of the Moon. He can never get it right. You have a home here with me Paul. I'll be by your side always. I promise." With that, she seals the promise with a kiss on his forehead much to Demetri's dismay who just had to sit on the sidelines while his mate panics. He, however, is very thankful for the bond his mate and sister have because at this moment she is the only thing keeping the wolf calm.

"Now Paul, how about you and Demetri go for a walk on the reservation side? You know Sam and the Elders have granted me permission so I'll give Demetri a flower crown with white flowers so it shows peace. I'll even put some peace lilies at the front." She winks at him while waving her hand gently toward her brother. In mere seconds, there is a dainty flower crown on his head with a few pace lilies at the front as the centrepiece. "Remember how I created peace lilies when we first met? Well, that also is to calm you down so you know I'm there with you while you're alone with him." Gaia leans close to Paul's ear and whispers "he is a big softie just like you. Mind his pranking though." With another kiss to the forehead, Gaia places Paul in Demetri's lap and walks off to find Sam.

Thanks to the animals who love Gaia, she finds Sam while he is on patrol. "Alpha Sam! Sorry for the intrusion but I need to speak to you and it would be easier in human form so I can gauge your body language." Gaia explains softly but with deep meaning behind which causes the Alpha to quickly go behind a tree and shift. "Of course Princess. What's the matter? You never normally ask me to change when we speak."

"You see, Paul has imprinted and while most would view that as a marvellous thing, I've just had to sit for half an hour calming him down. The pack knows Paul as the womaniser player. That's not him. He acts like that and sleeps around so no one suspects him of being gay. Now don't get mad at me or him, he hid it because wolfs are typically heterosexual so they can have pups. Paul being homosexual means he can't have pups so thought he would be shunned. Still thinks he will be mind you. His imprint is my brother Demetri, you know the prankster vampire who I love just as much as you guys?" Throughout speaking, Gaia paces scared of the older male's reaction. What she wasn't expecting was for Sam to hug her.

"Thank you. Thank you for protecting my pack members without me knowing. Paul shouldn't be scared to be open with us but I see where he is coming from. I'll talk to the Elders but they shouldn't care. They are actually wanting to meet your brother just as much as me and Jared. Your brother is allowed on the reservation as you are." With that said, Gaia let's out a nervous giggle and looks into Sam's eyes. "He is already on the reservation. I have him a flower crown to show he is with me and also made it white for peace along with peace lilies. The lilies for the symbol of peace but also to settle Paul's nerves."

Sam just chuckles while embracing Gaia tighter than before "You are a gem Gaia. We don't deserve you. I promise to stand by you and if there is any trouble with my pack and you or Demetri just tell me or get one of your forest animals to do a dance or something so I know you're in trouble." Sam kisses the top of her head before running and phasing to continue the patrol.

As he is patrolling, Sam sees Paul and Demetri walking hand in hand smiling. Sneaking up behind them, Sam nudges Paul into Demetri so they are a lot closer. Paul turns and sees Sam immediately freezing, "Paul, he has a wolfy grin and he nudged you closer to me. If he hated the idea, he would be snarling, growling, baring his teeth and would've nudged you away." Demetri slowly explains to his petrified mate. Sam seeing this, lays submissively in front of his Gamma with his ears back.

Taking a deep breath, Paul kneels down and hugs Sam's wolf "Thank you for accepting me for the real me and accepting my imprint. Gaia threatened running away in the middle of the night if I was kicked from the pack." Sam let's out, what one would assume a wolf laugh before running off continuing his patrol.

"Come on handsome, I want to know the rest of your life story." Demetri says while picking up Paul by the waist and spinning him round before placing him gently on the ground. When Paul turns to face Demetri, the vampire cups the wolf's cheeks and places a soft gentle kiss on his lips. "There's many more from there."
