While the whole Cullen family talk to Gaia and comfort her after the realisation that she is in fact who Edward has been waiting for, Edward is sitting on his bed with his head in this hands. He would be lying if he said he didn't want to know who his mate is but how could he just leave Bella after endangering his whole family for her? The more he pushes his mate away the safer his family will be.

He didn't realise how false those thoughts were. Downstairs, Rosalie is being held by Emmett to make sure she doesn't go upstairs and rip a limb off of her brother. The whole coven were shocked that the Volturi princess was going to be or at least supposed to be so closely tied to their humble family. They would be lying if they said they weren't happy, they've known her for mere hours and they fell in love with her.

After a few hours of Carlisle sitting with Gaia curled in his lap like a toddler when they're crying, they hear a truck backfire and then smell the scent of a human. "Oh great. Bella is coming" Rosalie scoffs before sitting beside Carlisle and Gaia while rubbing her back to soothe her a little more. Rosalie may seem like a selfish person but it's just a front so she doesn't get hurt, she wouldn't admit it but Gaia feels like her little sister already.

Bella walks through the front door without even knocking earning a few quiet scoffs from the younger members of the coven. After her scent drifts upstairs, Edward walks down fully confused why his girlfriend is standing in his living room. "Bella! What are you doing here? Surely you should be sleeping?" He asks walking to her and kissing her on the cheek erupting a quiet whimper from the small girl in Carlisle's lap.

"I want to put it up to a vote. I want to know what your thoughts are about me turning into one of you and joining your family." Bella states like it's the most obvious thing in the world. That alone makes Gaia reel in her emotions and puts her princess front up to deal with the bitch. The small girl stands up and straightens our her dress, once done she stands in front of Bella arms crossed and raises one eyebrow. "And why do you think you have a choice? The kings were very clear on what is to be done. You don't have a choice....well you do. It's either be turned by the end of the year and join the Volturi coven or be killed. No Cullen coven for you. You aren't Edward's mate and it is vampire law that no vampire can separate a mated pair. So it's either you leave or you die. There is no playing happy families with the telepath."

Gaia walks in front of Edward and looks him dead in the eye "and you better stop filling her mind with hope. Hope is a killer. How many years did you hope to find your true mate only to settle for a blood bag? It kills. And you better understand that one way or another you cannot be with Bella. You are a Cullen with a true mate you don't even know the identities of. She is going to be a Volturi or ashes. No family. No happily ever after. Stop with the hope." She turns back to Bella looking her up and down "you have nothing on his mate. She is amazing. She is ten time's the person you will be because she doesn't insert herself into a family that made it clear they want nothing to do with her."

Gaia walks back and sits beside Rosalie "didn't you do that? When you first moved here? Couldn't leave the model looking people alone so you inserted yourself into their lives and found out their secret because you wanted to be special? I'm sure Rosalie has made it very well known she doesn't like you. Emmett sides with his mate because that's how mates are, the cute little pixie doesn't like violence and Jasper just wants to deal with everyone's emotions without having an effect on him. How was Jasper around you? Probably standoffish right? You probably thought it was just him being him. No sunshine. It was him dealing with the whole covens emotions and yours included. I can bet my title that envy and obsession were the two prominent ones in the first few weeks and I bet my gifts on obsession still being one." She finishes her rant and Bella just stands there stunned waiting for someone to come to her aid. Edward is shocked that he didn't see it that way.

Jasper has a small smile on his face "finally someone who truly understands my gift." He can't help but feel proud of the small girl he views as his sister. "She's right you know. Obsession and now hatred are what she feels. I'm guessing hatred is to Gaia as she told everyone what you're like. And no before you start, no one talked bad about you. She has this information on her own, I'm guessing she likes to look out for her family hence why she knows what has been happening with Carlisle." As Jasper talks he walks behind Gaia and kisses the crown of her head and the girl can't help but smile at him uttering a small "thank you."

Bella scoffs loudly before stomping back out the door and the sound of her truck pulling away is the only sound heard. Edward looks around the room before zoning in of the girl "you had no right to say that to her. You come in here acting like you have some power but you don't. You got everything handed to you. You don't know struggle so get off of your high horse before I knock you down." He clenches his firsts making sure he doesn't resort to violence.

Gaia sits there staring at him "punch me. See if that does anything. I wasn't handed everything but if you wish to think so poorly of me then I will not change your view unless you wish to hear it." Her soft voice was the last thing heard before she walks off to Carlisle's study to look at the picture of the male family figures' portrait.
