《The Unwanted Mate (Edward Cullen x OC)》Reconnection

Gaia came up with an amazing idea of shocking everyone with her entrance. I know for a fact Carlisle will love it and it's not due to my gift.
After dropping Bella off at her home, myself and Edward walk in and see everyone in the living room sitting round. I skip over to Jasper and he gives me a look as he can feel the happiness radiating off of me. I simply shrug and kiss his cheek. Not a second later, flowers sprout from the flower, a beautiful pink and white flower crown grows on top of Rosalie's head. Finally, there are vines raising Carlisle on a flora platform above the rest of the family.
A musical giggle is heard and suddenly the whole family is on high alert, I just scoff and giggle as well. "Well, if I was a threat, would I have made my presence known by flowers and a flower crown?" Gaia's soft voice is echoing throughout the open space. Her small figure rounds the corner and a face splitting smile is adorned to her face when she spots Carlisle.
A squeal that could give me competition is heard and suddenly Carlisle is on the floor with a small figure clinging to him. "Oh my dear friend! I have missed you! Your letters aren't doing me any favours from missing you but I know you have your mate and family to look after." She says quickly as she scrambled up and uses vines to put my father figure the right way up. The look on his face is amazing, he looks like he's seen a ghost or like a child on Christmas. It's a mix I think.
"Gaia? What....how....you're here?" He asks trying to wrap his head around the information. She just giggles again and skips to Esme. "Oh you must be his darling mate and wife Esme. He said you were beautiful but that's an understatement. You're absolutely breathtaking. Im Gaia, his adopted niece kinda. I guess you could say adopted but like soul-niece. Yeah that sounds better." Esme just smiles warmly to the hyper girl and envelopes her in a warm embrace.

"Oh you're even more of a ray of sunshine than he has told me. You had me worried for a few years when he got random letters from a woman but then he explained his bond to you." They both just smile and hug again before a lovely purple and white mixed orchid is placed in Esme's hand. "A unique flower for such a divine mate for my uncle." With that Gaia skips to the next couple.
"Oh you look absolutely gorgeous with that flower crown. Sorry if it took you by surprise, I thought that someone with such beauty deserves a crown and sometimes metal crowns can be tacky and take away from the beauty of the wearer." Rosalie looks taken aback by the woman in front of her. Bless my sister, she tries to scowl but the compliments she just heard has seemed to soften her heart. "Ooooo, and this must be the giant man baby that Carlisle has spoke about! You remind me of Felix and Demetri all wrapped into one. Best of both worlds if you ask me. Felix gives the best cuddles, I might have to steal you if I get homesick." Emmett's face is a prize. He looks like he's just been crowned king by being compared to the elite guard of the Volturi. He engulfs Gaia's small frame in a hug and spins her around. The giggles and laughter from the two spread a warm smile on everyone's face. "Ok. I can tell we have a soul sibling bond just by the warmth. It's the same feeling I get with Demetri."
Once Emmett put the princess down, may I say it took Rosalie saying no kisses for a week to get him to put her down, Gaia walks to Jasper with her hands behind her back. "Well if it isn't my favourite coven member. Sorry everyone but Major Jasper Whitlock is a true inspiration to me. The fact he is so strong with dealing with everyone's bloodlust and still managing to be surround by humans at school, that truly is an inspiration." Jasper looks shocked at how she knew that about him. He looks to me and I just shake my head with a small smile. "Oh, also, if you need any help with dealing with turning it off or ignoring it,

I'll help the best I can. Flowers are a strong thing when I put my mind to it." With a mischief glint in her eye, she holds her hand for Jasper to take. Nervously he takes it and stands, she stands up on her toes and places a lovely flower and vine cowboy hat on top of his head. "Never forgets your roots Major. They show just how strong you truly are." She states with a small smile and Jasper, bless his soul, looks like he wants to cry. He pulls the princess into a tight hug and she just stands and comforts him.
"Thank you. I've never had someone who truly understands. Alice tries but oh it's like you're my sister. Is that a bond?" Jasper's meek voice could be heard as it is muffled against Gaia's shoulder. "Yeah it is. Guess this coven truly is where I belong along with Volturi. Two brothers and two sisters along with my uncle. Wow." Gaia slowly takes Jasper out of her arms and guides him back to me. I give her a small smile in thanks.
"So Gaia, what do we owe the pleasure of the Volturi Princess in our humble coven?" Carlisle asks once she has introduced herself with everyone. Her smile falters slightly before she puts on a brave face again "Well Uncle, Edward decided it was a smart idea to come to the kings and ask for death. Fortunately, he found his true mate in our coven and as you know, true mates aren't meant to be split. However, Bella needs to be turned in a year and I will accompany her back to the Volturi as she is just Edward's blood singer." Gaia's explanation shocks everyone but also makes Rosalie scowl and stalk toward Edward.
"You messes with our family for a nice tasting blood bag?! And your true mate? Who is she or he? Please tell me you didn't leave them behind!" She screeched and Edward just slumped into his chair not caring. "I don't know who my true mate is. I didn't care to ask. I love Bella and will not be giving her up for some random mate." He scoffs and runs to his room. I look to Gaia and she is gazing at the ground with a small snowdrop in her hand.
"You're his true mate aren't you dear flower?" Carlisle's voice is heard in such a quiet whisper only those in the room can hear. Bless sweet Gaia all she can do is nod her head. Carlisle hugs her tightly and strokes her head as she dry sobs.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
