After weeks, Y/N officially went back from being an adventurer.

2 weeks after her recovery, she asked Pantalone if she could travel around Teyvat. More specifically Mondstadt.

Pantalone was unsure of this idea, mostly because of the health of the girl.

But Y/N insisted that she will be careful from now on and won't be fighting as much.

Pantalone couldn't resist the adorable look she gave, so he had to accept it either way.

Now here is Y/N at the region of freedom!

She saw Diluc from the distance and didn't hesitate and greet the old friend.

"Master Diluc!" She called out, the red haired man turned around hearing his name getting called. A small smile came to his face seeing his friend.

"Ms. Y/N, it's been a while. You look... Different." Diluc greeted back, and wondered why the girl looked like this.

The girl laughed nervously, she decided to tell it to her later.

Soon, the two walked around Springvale. Having a small chat of the past, they soon started sharing fighting tips to each other as they passed a couple of slimes.

Soon passed a fatui camp.

Diluc immediately got a hold of his claymore, ready to strike soon.

But Y/N made eye contact to the Cicin Mage and Fatui Agent.

"D-Diluc wait!" Y/N called out, before Diluc could strike and stood down. Staring at the girl confusingly.

Diluc said, "Why? Its the Fatui."

She nodded nervously before facing the two Fatuis.

"Get out of here, find another camp somewhere." She ordered, the Mage and Agent didn't hesitate and left immediately.

The red haired man stared at her at disbelief, with a sense of small betrayal.

"Y/N, what is the meaning of this. Are part of the Fatui as an undercover?" Diluc growled out, pointing his red claymore towards Y/N.

She raised her hands in surrender.

"Let me explain, and no. I'm not part of the fatui." She defended, it is true. She is well known in the fatui circle, but never once were part of it. Only to because her lover is there.

He scoffed, "Oh really, did you forget you just just ordered the two of them away and followed your command like they're are dogs."

Y/N cringed at the harshness of his voice, she frowned and looked up him.

"I'm not part of the Fatui. I'm just well known to them. Because my lover is a Harbinger, but never once I became like their dog. That certain Harbinger is my childhood bestfriend, who helped me to become an adventurer today." She answered with honesty laced to her voice.

Her heart was beating fast, losing a friend is painful...

Diluc stared at her, he saw no lies in her eyes. It was the truth. When she spoke about the certain Harbinger, he saw the love shined on her eyes.

The man sighed and kept his claymore back, "Let's go back to the Winery. And tell me everything."

The two arrived at the Mansion, they walked towards the house in silence with a big space between them. Y/N kept her distance not wanting Diluc to feel comfortable.

Adelinde prepared a few snacks for them before staying back giving the two privacy.

Diluc motioned her to start explaining and so she did.

"There was a time where, he started ignoring me... Like I was invisible into his eyes. It was painful, so I ran away with a help from a friend and soon I've arrived at Liyue. I met Yelan who became my closest friend, and then became the Qixing's assistant. I protected Liyue for months, until he visited Liyue, for business purposes. We saw each other again and he apologized and I gave him a chance." She explained.

Diluc stared at her, "So ever since you were younger, you wanted to become a Traveler. So you have never done a single order from the Fatui?" He wondered.

Y/N nodded, "They have respect, I'm still my own person. I still became an Adventurer, when I was younger and already has the skill to fight, the fatui invited me millions of times. I rejected them, I didn't want to be a tool. So I used the ability to fight to travel." She explained recalling the annoying memories. Laughing mentally.

The man smiled and soon started to ease up about her knowing the fatui.

"Other than that Y/N, explain why your hair is turning... White?" Diluc asked again, it's true. The last time he saw her, majority of the girl's hair was still dark blue.

Y/N smiled sadly, "I was cursed, The Doctor of the Harbingers accidentally experimented me, and gave me a delusion. But the real culprit made my state worst. I became a monster."

Diluc tensed a bit at the mention of Doctor, "Dottore?"

The girl's eyes widen, "You know him?"

He nodded, "A while back... Let's continue your story please." He insisted.

"The culprit, was my colleague. He made the antidote that Dottore made worst, and I went wild. Plus the delusioned vision, my state became worst. The beast within me is now gone, but the side effects of the delusion stayed." Her voice was getting quieter, the painful thought of dying.

The man looked away and asked, "What side effect?"

"Aging faster..." She whispered sadly, tears crawling on her eyes.

He suddenly looked up at her, he saw the pain in her eyes. He felt sympathy to the girl, she went through a lot of obstacles and this is here prize.

Again, she might die because of a delusion... It reminds him the time of his father.

Getting up from his sit, he didn't hesitate to hug her.

The girl was shocked, a very cold man like Diluc didn't hesitate and hugged her. She cried more and hugged him back.

What a nice friend.

Soon Diluc has a small plan.

"Are you sure your not cold?" Diluc asked again as they entered the cold mountain of Dragonspine.

Y/N nodded again, smiling at him.

"I lived in Snezhnaya for years, of course I'm okay." She assured him.

Diluc gave her a lazy smile before leading her up the mountain to visit a certain, alchemist.

After fighting a few Hilichurls here and there, they've arrived to a camp where they saw a girl with green hair and glasses.

"Good morning, Sucrose." Diluc greeted, causing the girl to jump at panic.

'Sucrose... Cute.' Y/N thought as she stared at the shy girl.

"O-Oh! Master D-Diluc, what brings you here at his camp?" Sucrose shyly asked as she made her way to the pair.

The older man crossed his arms and told her with a straight face, "I need to see the Chief Alchemist. Where is he?"

"I'm right here, Master Diluc." A soft voice from a male was heard behind them.

Y/N turned around and saw a boy with ash blonde hair with ocean blue eyes. She also noticed the star on his neck.

"Ah, a guest. My name is Albedo, Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius." He introduced herself, the girl smiled at the softness of his voice and greeted back.

"My name is Y/N, an adventurer from Snezhnaya."

"Oh~ Snezhnaya. I heard the climate there is similar here in Dragonspine." Albedo said as he made his way inside of his camp, she nodded.

Diluc sighed, "Okay, Albedo. This girl as a certain sickness or 'curse' that do you think you can help with?"

It took sometime for Albedo to fill in about the girl's sickness.

"Hmmm... I see. Well I could help for you, but it will take some time. But is it fine if I take a small amount of your blood?" Albedo politely asked.

Y/N nodded.

After a few moments Albedo thanked her, "I will find a way to help you. Hopefully it will be a success."

She smiled, "Don't stress yourself, if you can't then stop there. Besides, even if I die early, I still met an amazing and smart person like you that will stay in my book of adventures."

Diluc couldn't help but smile softly at the girl, he knew she was a afraid. But theres something about her that never changed.

Bravery.

She was brave to live and fight, even death is near. So brave that she could smile even if her time ends.

The girl smiled but in her thoughts...

'A few more months left... Will I be able to make it and see the Lantern Rite festival of Liyue for the first time?'
