Mia's pov

It has been a few days since the big fight and Ava has gotten a clean bill of health from the pack doctor. I’m currently bringing her breakfast in bed: pancakes and bacon with a glass of orange juice.

I walk into the room and my mate is on our bed looking through her phone but puts it down once she notices me. “Good morning baby,” she says.

I put the tray of food in front of her and she gives me a kiss. “Good morning.”

A little while later there’s a knock at our door. “Come in,” I yell.

Sofia walks through the door with a glass of blood. “Drink this,” she says, handing it to my mate. “Now that you’re a hybrid you need to drink blood too.”

“I still don’t know how this happened? I’m glad you’re alive but I didn’t see him give you his blood,” I say.

“It started the day Sofia came back with the blood for Levi.”

Flash back

The door to the room opens and Sofia walks in. “I don’t have a lot of time,” she starts. “I gave them the location and when they can come get you.”

“When will that be?” I want to get back to my mate.

“In four days when he tries to turn you.” Even though she says it she sounds unconvinced.

“You don’t sound too sure of that,” I tell her.

“No matter how much Mia loves you, if Levi feels like he’s going to lose he will kill you,” she says.

“Mia loves me?”

“Yes, and not the point.”

“Right, what’s your plan?” I ask.

“I don’t think you’ll like it, but it’s the only way you'll live.”

“Tell me.”

“Before you leave you drink my blood this way if you die you’ll come back,” she says.

“I’ll still be a hybrid.”

“You’ll still be with your mate.”

End of flashback

“So that’s what we did, a few hours before we left Sofia snuck down to the cell and gave me her blood.”

“Thank you Sofia. And I do believe I made you a promise, I had some of my warriors look for your family and they’re on their way here.”

“Oh my Goddess, thank you,” she said with tears of happiness.

Later that day Sofia was reunited with her wife and daughter, and I finally went on a date with Ava.
