Sofia's pov

*Just before she was sent to get blood*

I get the collar and walk down to the cells. I want to help her but I can't leave without a direct order from him. I open the cell and walk in. The woman looks up at me. "You're a woman," she says.

"I am, and I don't agree with what he's doing to you. I'm gonna try to help you."

"Why?" She asks.

"Because he took me away from my wife and child, I don't want anyone to go through the pain I have."

She looks down at my hands. "Are you going to put that on me?" She questions.

"I have to but here's the key: if it ever gets too painful take it off." I hand her the key and she puts it in her pocket. I lean forward and put the collar on. She doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that it's silver. "I don't know how to get you out though."

"If you can get out go to my pack and find Izzy. Tell her 'I am your moon who brings you serenity' she'll trust you after that."

We hear the door open so I just nod to her and walk out shutting the cell behind me. I just need to find a way out. "You, go out and get me some blood.”

"Right away Sir," I say as I walk out of the room. That was convenient. I never showed him my true speed so I can get to her pack, get some blood and be back before it seems suspicious.

A few minutes later I walked into her pack's territory. I hear wolves growling so I put my hands up and slowly go on my knees. A few of what I'm guessing are warriors walk up to me. They put vervain shackles on me and stand me up. "What right do you have to walk into our territory," one yells.

"I mean you no harm, I need to speak to someone named Izzy."

The two warriors behind me push me forward and I start walking. After a minute or two we walk into an old stone building, there's one chair in the middle of the room and they push me to sit. There's a bunch of tools in here, most likely a torture room.

My mate, my mate, my mate. Why? Izzy walks into my room. "You have to eat something."

"I'm not hungry," I mumble.

"You need to eat, Ava would want you to take care of yourself."

"She should be laying in bed next to me, but she's somewhere with blood suckers."

"You need to have your strength for when she comes back. She'll need you and you won't be any help if you're weak," she says.

I know she's right. When I get my mate back, she'll need me to be strong for her and I can't be strong for her if I'm too weak to do anything. I sit up and grab the tray of food from her. "Thank you," I tell her.

"Of course."

Just then I get mind linked, "Alpha, we got a vampire."

"What how?" I asked, they already sent a message, why would they send another one.

"She walked on to the territory and just surrendered. She wants to talk to Izzy."

"Bring her to the interrogation room,” I say. I quickly get up and pull Izzy out of the house and to the interrogation room.

After a few minutes we get there. "Leave us," I commanded the guard watching the vampire. He does as told and now it's just the three of us.

"I want to help you get your Luna back," she says.

"I don't trust you," I tell her. Why help us?

"Who's Izzy?" She asks.

"I am," Izzy says, stepping forward a little.

"I am your moon who brings you serenity," the vampire says.

Before I can ask what she means Izzy says, "I am here for you for all eternity. The stars are ours, feeling which to hold, growing, watching, as we get old."

The lady looks just as confused as I. "You know where she is?" Izzy asks.

"Yes I do, but you must release me.”

"Why?" I ask.

"Because my leader is all about men are superior to woman and woman are slaves to men. I am only allowed out because we ran out of blood and I was sent to get some."

I think about it for a second but untie her. "Why are you helping us?" I ask.

"Because he to ripped me away from my wife and child and I can help save your Luna from the pain I feel," she says.

"If you help me get my mate back, I will help you get back to your wife and child." If she helps I will do anything to get her back with her family. I will kill him and she can be free.

She gave us the location and then left to get some blood. Every high racking pack member is in my office and we are coming up with a plan. But a knock on my door makes the room fall dead silent. The door opens to reveal one of my pack members. "Alpha, there's a policeman here, he wants to talk to Izzy."

I nod and Izzy and I follow the pack member to the living room. "Sergeant, what are you doing here?"

"You and Ava never came by the station or called. Where's Ava?" He asks.

"She was taken," Izzy says.

"Then what are you doing here why didn't you come to the station!" He yells.

"You can't help," she yells back.

"Say who. I'll find the person who took her and kill him myself. Ava's like a daughter to me and I'll be damned if I lose another one."

"Sir, you might want to sit down," I told him. He thinks of her as a daughter and it wouldn't hurt to have the police station as extra man power.

"What? Why?"

"Sir, you're gonna want to sit." He does as Izzy says and I nod to my pack member and he starts to take off his clothes.

"What are you…." He doesn't finish because there's now a huge wolf in front of him. He falls back and Izzy helps him up. I give a nod to my pack member and he takes his clothes and leaves the room.

"Boy, wolf?"

"We're called werewolves," I tell him.

He just looks at me and I give a polite smile. "What?"

"This is a house full of werewolves Sir," Izzy says. He looks at her. "I'm not one, I'm just the mate of one."

"Mate?" He questions.

"It's like a soulmate," I tell him.

"And Ava?" He asks.

"Is my mate, as well as a werewolf."

"This explains so much," he starts, "Like how she can lift five times her own body weight. That's a werewolf thing right?" He asks.

"Yes, it's one of the many things we can do."

"Is it like in the movies and books were you guys have ranks?" He asks.

"Yes, I'm the Alpha, and Ava is my Luna."

"I'll do anything you need to help get her back," he says. He is handling this better than I thought he would.

"Well we don't know who, but what we do know is Vampires took her," Izzy says.

"Wait, vampires."

"Yes," I state.

"Does this mean witches are real too?" He asks.

"Yes," I state again.

"Well I know the who. His name is Levi."

"What does he want with Ava?" I ask the Sergeant.

"Back when she was in the military she was assigned to escort some of the women and children to the U.S.. They stopped to let the woman and children rest but when they did they were attacked, everyone but Ava and her team died. Some instantly and some to injured to save. Everyone was accounted for but Levi, they assumed that he got lost from the group earlier in the day or he was one of the people closes to the bomb when it when off. Either way they pronounced him dead."

"That's terrible," Izzy says.

"He may have been turned right after the explosion," I say, "All that chaos, no one would notice someone taking a kid."

"But why Ava?" Izzy asks.

"We don't know for sure but our theory is that he is trying to get justice for his mother who is one of the deceased. I think that if anyone of Ava's squad was still alive he would have gone after them too."

"Now we know who, have a theory as to why Ava, and we got the location to where he will be changing her," I say.

"What do you mean changing her," the Sergeant asks.

"Ava is a true Alpha, very rare and for her to be one this young is even rarer. The legend is a true Alpha can be changed into a hybrid and gain more power than they already have. But by the selfish act of them wanting more power they lose their status and when they go to change they die. Ava doesn't want this power; she didn't even know she was a true Alpha till I told her. By her not wanting it her status will stay a true Alpha," I explain.

"Okay how do we stop him?" The Sergeant asks.

"The process happens in two steps, one she will have to ingest his blood and two she will have to die."

"So we don't let him give her his blood," Izzy says.

"Exactly, we were told in four days time on the full moon he will take her up to the clear hill and kill her there."

"Let's take this to the station and fill my team in on the plan." I nod and mind link my high ranking wolves to meet me at the station.
