《My Blind Princess》Chapter 21

Eva suddenly jolted awake. She felt her arms had been chained to something that felt like a bed. She tugged at her restraints but to no avail. The door to the room she was in opened and in walked Martin with a huge smug look on his face.
Eva desperately tried to break free but she couldn't.
"You refused to be my concubine. Now you'll be my whore." Martin smiled as he gripped one of Eva's ankles and pulled her body flat on the bed.
Eva struggled but she couldn't break free. Martin quickly tied her foot to the post of the bed and grabbed her other foot. Effectively tying it to the other post. Eva struggled and struggled but was unable to get free. The anxiety in her body started to rise as she felt more and more helpless against Martin.
Even with all the struggling she was doing her body still hummed with excitement when she felt Martin touch her leg.
She hated the fact that his hands were on her but she couldn't help her body.
"I am going to make you beg my name" Martin smirked as he licked his lips and watched Eva struggle.
"When I get free from these restraints I will kill you." Eva hissed as she continued to struggle.
"You can cry out as much as you can, No one is going to save you. I will make you mine and then I'll do whatever I please with you."
Eva could hear the sound of a zipper and soon a belt being unbuckled.
"You're going to love this" Martin smirked as he placed a feathered kiss on Eva's leg.
Eva wiggled her legs to get out of Martin's grip. Martin soon let go and smiled to himself.
"I'll be back baby girl" Martin whispered as he walked into the bathroom.
Eva built up enough anger to try to break her restraints. After a few attempts she felt one of her restraints loosen. She was then able to loosen both. Once her hands were free Eva quickly undid the restraints on her legs. When she finally heard Martin walk into the room she didn't miss a beat and threw herself on him. She was able to land a few punches before Martin threw Eva across the room.

Eva got up and tried to prepare to attack Martin once again. Before Eva could even fully get up Martin was at her throat. He pushed her against the wall as his hand wrapped around her throat effectively cutting off her air supply. As Eva struggled she could feel her body losing strength once again.
This time however Eva refused to go down without a fight. She was going to kill Martin even if it meant she would die with him.
As the last of the oxygen reached her brain Eva made a decision. She kicked out her leg as hard as she could and was grateful when she came into contact with something.
Soon her lungs filled with air as she dropped down onto the ground. She greedily breathed in as much air as she could. She coughed out as she continued with her deep breaths. Eva was glad she had managed to immobilize Martin at least for a few moments.
Her victory was short lived when she heard Martin howl out.
Eva knew he had now shifted into his wolf form but she was prepared to go head to head with him no matter what. She was prepared to kill her mate if she had too.
Eva focused on her other senses and tried to make out where Martin was.
Once she focused she sensed when Martin jumped and was able to slightly dodge Martin's attack.
Eva suffered a large scratch to her arm but her injuries only fueled her anger more for this man.
Eva quickly stood up and tried to listen to where Martin was. Successfully she was able to pinpoint his location and she jumped on the large wolf that was on the other side of the bed. Eva quickly bit into his neck and began to suck his blood.
Martin shook her off but not before Eva managed to tear a piece of meat off of his back. Exposing the flesh just above the spine. Martin whined but turned to attack Eva just the same.
Unfortunately for the wolf prince, now that Eva had drunk some of his blood her body went into overdrive with its newfound strength.

Eva easily evaded every attack that Martin threw at her. She once again jumped on him but this time instead of biting into him Eva used her long sharp nails to dig them into his eyes.
Martin howled out and soon there was loud banging on the bedroom door but nothing fazed Eva. She was no longer in her right mind and the monster from within had taken over.
Martin and Eva continued to fight. After every passing minute Martin continued to lose to Eva. Soon the banging on the bedroom door stopped.
Eva had pinned Martin's wolf against the wall and was about to bite into him once again when the door to the bedroom was smashed open.
Samael broke through the door with a rage he had never had before. Just knowing that Eva was alone with Martin made Sam lose his mind. Sam and the others had been taken to the dungeon of the palace. He woke up on the cold hard concrete next to Alana and Calvin. The King was nowhere in sight and Sam worried just a bit but he knew his father could take care of himself.
Sam escaped the dungeon along with a transformed Alana and a very angry Calvin. They managed to fight off many soldiers and were separated when Sam hurried upstairs following Eva's scent.
A large howl was what drew Sam to the Prince's room.
When Sam burst into the room he watched as Eva had Martin's wolf pinned against the wall.
"My love" Sam sighed out as he saw that Eva was okay.
His rage had died down for just a bit until he was the huge black bruise on Eva's neck and the deep gash in Eva's arm. Samael quickly let his inner Monster take over and he could feel his fangs and claws grown out.
However before Sam could even react Eva quickly snapped Prince Martin's neck. She dropped the limp wolf body on the floor and turned to face Samael.
"I don't need anyone to rescue me" Eva scoffed as she took a deep breath.
Sam was astonished as he saw Eva's eyes. Pure black and almost soulless. A slight shiver ran through his body as she made her way to him. Something in him told him to not move.
Samael felt that if he moved he would be attacked by Eva.
"Baby, it's me" Sam whispered.
Soon the black color of her eyes began to fade and her natural green unfocused eyes took their place.
"Eva?" Sam questioned as he slowly took a step forward.
Eva took a step towards Sam and quickly fainted. It was as if that step had taken everything from her.
Sam quickly rushed to her side and held Eva in his arms. He pushed strands of blonde hair from her face and smiled as he felt whole once again. He tucked his head into her neck and inhaled her scent. He could feel his body relaxing and soon all of his injuries came flooding onto him.
The pain and the exhaustion flooded him and it took a lot of willpower not to faint alongside Eva. Sam pulled together all the strength he could muster and placed Eva over his shoulder, he stood and walked out of the room.
Sam was still on edge but when the voice of Alpha Vasiliev filled him he relaxed and hurried to the room where The alpha was.
The undeclared war had been won as Samael watched Alpha Vasiliev stand over King Cole's dead body.
"Alpha Vasiliev" Sam called out as he continued to walk into the destroyed room.
Alpha Vasiliev turned and quickly ran to help. Once Sam felt it was safe enough he relaxed. Dark spots started to could his vision and soon he was in complete darkness.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

The Thaumatist Incident
The towers fell over a century ago, and the Good King united the land. Under his voice the Thaumatists took the knee or took the sword. The University still stands, but for how long? This story is broken up into two parts. Chronologically, the two parts overlap. Part One Emile, a girl with a Talent not seen since the good king's war as she tries to find help to save her beloved father from a cruel accident. Julie, raised in a small farming village on her quest to become someone people will sing about. Part Two Wendel, a recent graduate of the University, an intense school that functions first as a police force to control the use of magic and secondly as an educational institution. Demetrius, a servant at the school who loses his home and his safety. Edits are ongoing. Reviews and comments will only help the editing the process, and I am grateful for any and all input. So, if you have been reading already, Jericho has been removed. It's been brought to my attention that his chapters detract from the flow of the narrative. They still exist, and are still going to be made available at some point in some way shape or form, but for the time being what happens with him and the king in Puissant city will be off camera so to speak.

It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
