《My Blind Princess》Chapter 9

When they finally reached the Green Forest Pack Eva let out a sigh. She was exhausted. She had never felt so exhausted in her life.
As they neared the Packhouse many or the warriors from the rogue pack left and headed home. Eva entered the Packhouse and was quickly bombarded with the smell of breakfast. Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes, coffee, and Toast.
Eva ran up to her room and grabbed a change of clothes. She listened for her best friend and smiled as she heard her in the alpha office speaking with warriors and pack members. It seemed Alana's work was yet to be done.
It gave Eva enough time to head to the bathroom and shower. After a quick warm shower, Eva sat on her bed and relaxed. The day was just starting and yet she felt like she needed a long nap.
Eva laid back and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and before she knew it she was fast asleep.
~A Few Days Later~
With rage, Axel slammed the door closed behind him. He looked around the room he was in and quickly recognized Eva's Library.
"Careful the doors are African Mahogany," Eva commented as her fingers slid across the pages of the book.
"So what?"
"Mind your attitude in my sanctuary otherwise I'll have to kick you out." Eva hissed out at an already angry werewolf.
"Oh yeah? You and what army?" Axel chuckled as he looked at Eva with mischief in his eyes.
His anger was forgotten. Seeing Eva mad was what Axel lives for. It was his life long mission to annoy his Vampire cousin.
"Watch your tongue pup, don't forget who is stronger."
Axel laughed and walked closer to Eva. He sat across from her on the windowsill and crossed his arms.

"You know when we were younger you could have taken me but now that I'm older and have finally completed warrior training I could easily take you," Axel spoke out smugly.
"Did you forget that I was the one who helped form the warrior training?" Eva shot out.
"Wanna give it a go then?" Axel challenged.
"I have more important things to do."
"Like what? Reread a book you have read over a thousand times?" Axel sighed out in annoyance.
Eva always had her nose stuck in a book. It didn't matter that she was one of the best fighters the pack had. She was always tucked away in her library reading. Eva reminded Axel of a Princess who was locked away in her tower. Only in this case, Eva would lock herself instead of having an evil family who locked her away.
"Yes, exactly. I have to reread this book." Eva smiled.
Axel sighed out in annoyance and stood from the windowsill. He decided not to bother Eva any longer. Since it seemed she was very busy. He would annoy her another day.
"Dinner is almost ready. I'm sure Aunt Misty and Beta Stone will want you to join us this time."
"Mother and Father know I don't like to eat in front of people," Eva mumbled.
"Suit yourself Nerd" Axel joked as he walked towards the doors.
"Airhead" Eva snapped back.
Axel smiled and walked out of the room only to come face to face with the one person who had made him angry in the first place. His older sister Alana.
"What are you doing here?" Alana questioned.
Axel ignored his sister and walked away. He didn't want to get into another fight with her.
"I'm talking to you, Axel!"

Axel growled out in a warning tone but kept walking. Alana didn't miss a beat and returned the growl. Although she didn't have time to argue with Axel she decided to let him be.
She walked into the library and slammed the doors closed. She was irritated by her little brother.
"For crying out loud! Stop trying to break my door down you savages!" Eva yelled out in annoyance.
Alana chuckled and walked to the windowsill.
"Sorry, it's just Axel getting on my nerves."
Eva grumbled but didn't say anything coherent.
"Eva, Daddy wants us for a mission," Alana spoke as she cleared her throat.
Eva swiftly shut the book in her hands and gave Alana her undivided attention.
"Daddy wants us to head to the Vampire Council and request assistance from them."
"You have to be kidding me. Why now? We can handle the Royals ourselves with the help from the packs. We don't need them."
"Eva in the last attack The Blood River Pack suffered many casualties. If they decide to attack again The Blood River Pack will fall."
"The Vampire Council doesn't even care about our problems."
"Maybe, but we won't know until we try."
Eva sighed out in annoyance and placed her hand on her forehead. She really resented the Vampire Council. They had turned their backs on her family when they needed the most help. The only ones that helped were the Vasiliev family. Alexandro and his pack.
To Eva, the Vampire Council was nothing more than garbage. To have to beg them for their help was degrading to her. Why can't they just work on everything themselves why involve those blood-sucking animals? Eva knew she was the same as them but she would never place herself in the same category as them. For all, she knew she was more of a werewolf than a vampire.
"I know it's hard asking for help but daddy wouldn't suggest it unless he was sure we needed them," Alana whispered as she placed her hand on Eva's shoulder in comfort.
Eva sighed out in annoyance.
"Fine, I guess we can ask them for help." Eva slightly smiled.
"When do we head out?" Eva questioned as she stood from her windowsill and started to head out of her sanctuary.
"Tomorrow morning, It'll be at least a two-day trip so we should pack accordingly," Alana instructed as she walked with Eva.
"Are we going to be running?"
"No, Daddy wants us to be there as soon as possible so we will be using the Jet."
"Okay, will it be just us two?"
"No, Daddy will most likely join us and leave Uncle Stone in charge of the pack for now."
Eva simply agreed and walked with Alana back to their shared room to pack up for their trip.

Steamforged Sorcery [A Steampunk LitRPG]
This is a fantasy story in a steampunk setting, not a sci-fi. The Great War ravaged the face of the earth many years ago. In the years that passed, the world rebuilt, mixing machinery and magic to form something new. Great blimps took to the sky, belching steam and smoke as metal cities sprouted like weeds below. Angel, a talented mage, scours the desert endlessly in search of lost knowledge. When it unexpectedly falls into his hands, he quickly comes to realize that the world is far larger – and far more deadly – than he ever could have predicted. But no amount of danger is going to keep Angel from seeking out greater strength and traveling the world, claiming all the greatest treasure that it has to offer. To most, the desert is a dangerous threat to be feared. To Angel, it’s a land of opportunity, waiting to be exploited. Steamforged Sorcery is, as the title suggests, a LitRPG Steampunk story with heavy focus on magic and scenery. The main character starts out relatively strong (but far from overpowered) but will eventually grow in strength to incredible levels. It is moderately paced and does not progress at ridiculous speeds. Release Schedule: 1,500 words daily Monday-Friday
