《My Blind Princess》Chapter 6

|2 Months Later|

Eva sighed and closed her eyes. She let the warmth of the sun kiss her pale skin. Two months had passed since the declaration of war between the Green Forest Pack and the Royal Family.

So far Alexandrov was able to gain the alliance of 4 packs. The Red Moon pack, The Blood River Pack, The SnowFlower Pack, and a makeshift pack that called themselves the Rogue pack. The Rogue pack consisted of more than just werewolves. Under the Alpha’s control were a Demon, a couple of rogue wolves, and two witches.

The Rogue pack had a female pack alpha. She wasn’t of Alpha blood herself but she was a daughter of a very strong warrior with an ancient bloodline. She was granted the gift to lead in exchange for her wolf. Many didn’t validate the Rogue pack as an official pack for the simple fact that A. The Alpha didn’t carry Alpha blood and B. The Alpha couldn’t shift.

Alexandrov was currently meeting with the other Alpha’s to see what the plan was going to be. Alexandrov said they wouldn’t attack the Kingdom just yet but he sure as hell was prepared to defend in case the kingdom attacked. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. That was Alexandrov’s motto.

The sound of the library door opening made Eva painfully aware that someone had intruded on her alone time in the library.

“Eva, daddy requested us to his office,” Alana muttered out as she watched Eva slowly open her eyes and direct her face towards the door where Alana stood.

Eva refrained from saying anything. She simply stood and walked towards the door where Alana had the door propped open. Alana wove her hand through Eva’s arm and both ladies made their way towards the alpha’s office.

“Alpha Vasiliev” Eva greeted when they reached the office and walked in.

Eva was hit with all kinds of new scents and smells. One, in particular, stood out to her. It was a mix of multiple scents and at each inhale a new mix of scents came in.

“Eva allow me to introduce you. This is Alpha Johannes Hunter, he is the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack.” Alexandrov spoke out as Alpha Hunter walked up to Eva and outstretched his hand.

Alpha Hunter waited for Eva to grasp his hand but Eva didn’t.

“My Apologies, Eva is blind” Alexandrov added.

Alpha Hunter understood and simply pulled Eva into a hug. Eva inhaled his scent and stored it to memory.

“This here is Alpha Donovan Carter, he is the Alpha of The Snowflower Pack”

Alpha Carter pulled Eva into a hug as well. Eva once again saved his scent to memory along with his name and pack name.

“This is Alpha Abraham Blood, Alpha of the Blood River Pack” Alexandrov spoke out as Eva and Donovan pulled away from each other.

Abraham pulled Eva into a hug and she repeated the process.

“Last is Alpha Kaelynn Knight, She is the Alpha of the Rogue Pack”

Kaelynn pulled Eva into a hug and Eva found the person who had multiple scents. Eva tried to store it in her memory but couldn’t due to the fact it was constantly changing. She had never come across someone like that. This Alpha was clearly special.

“I apologize if My scent is weird. I was given a special gift from the Moon Goddess.” Alpha Knight smiled at a confuse Eva. Not that Eva could tell.

“Its a mixture of scents made up of all my pack members.” Alpha Knight explained.

“Every time I take in a new member their scent mixes in with mine and everyone else’s”

“That is very interesting” Eva comments as Alana guides her to a chair to sit down on.

Everyone else follows and finds a seat. As soon as everyone is in a chair Alpha Vasiliev starts the speaking.

“The reason I asked everyone here is that we all have a bone to pick with the Royal Family. We denied the Royal Family a maid and so have declared war on them.”

“Is there a reason as to why you decided not to send them a maid? I mean honestly doing all of this for a maid seems quite foolish” Alpha Blood speaks as he looks at everyone else for confirmation.

“Let me explain” Eva speaks up before the Alpha can say anything else.

Eva begins to tell them what had happened between the Green Forest Pack and the Royal Family. How Prince Martin Cole was her mate and he rejected her, how he called her defective. She then explained how her father had been so filled with rage that he attacked the prince and attempted to kill him. Eva also explained how the Prince wanted Eva to stay behind as his maid and to warm his bed from time to time. Then she finally explained how Alpha Vasiliev denied the Prince and the King was offended.

“That is why Alpha Vasiliev has declared war on the Royal Family.” Eva sighed out as she came to an ending on her memory of what happened.

“What an asshole!” Alpha Knight gowled out at the end.

“He is such a pompous ass” Alpha Blood added.

“I asked you here today so that Eva could explain her story and verify if you guys really want to be part of this revolution. We know that going up against the Kingdom is a huge risk for you and your pack so please think it through clearly before pledging allegiance with our pack.” Alexandrov spoke out quieting the murmurs and curse words flying from the Alphas in the room.

“As I said before Alexandrov, You have my full support. You saved my life and my pack. I refuse to turn a blind eye at this injustice.” Alpha Hunter smiled as he clasped Alexandrov’s hand in his.

Alexandrov nodded in appreciation and shot Johan a smile.

“You have my support as well, That dick of a King told the council that my pack wasn’t real because I didn’t have Alpha’s blood in me. He said we were all just a bunch of rogue playing pretend.” Kaelynn growled out at the memory.

“If Alpha Knight is involved then I am as well, The rogue pack has backed us up in many occasions against the HalfTail pack. What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t back her up in her time of need?” Alpha Carter spoke out.

“Ah Screw it, The Royal family is filled with stuck up snobs anyway. I’m In” Alpha Blood says while rubbing the back of his neck.

“Have you spoken with Alpha Voin? You know that if we do manage to win the war Alpha Voin would have to take the title of Alpha King since he is the strongest.”

“I have tried to get in contact with him but so far he isn’t the least bit interested in having a meeting with me.”

“Alpha Vasiliev if I may. Allow me to speak with him on your behalf,” Eva spoke out.

“Absolutely not, He is a Monster and there is a reason almost all the other packs fear him,” Antonio spoke out for the first time since the meeting started.

“Your father is right Eva, Alpha Voin is very unpredictable. Let me speak to him. I’ll see if he would like to join our revolution or not.” Kaelynn said as she stood from her chair.

“Thank you Alpha Knight” Alexandrov thanked as he watched Kaelynn walk out of the room with her Beta in tow.

Alexandrov continued with his plans of defense and attack while Eva was lost in thought. It made her wonder what kind of person Alpha Zane Voin was. Was he nice or ruthless like everyone depicted of him?

After some time passed the meeting was dismissed and all of the Alphas left. They all started to prepare for the war that was coming.

Alana and Eva were the last to leave except for Alexandrov and Antonio who stayed behind to discuss pack business.

Alana led Eva back into the library. Eva smiled as she sat on the windowsill and Alana joined.

“You were awfully quiet today” Alana commented.

“Says the one who was snoring” Eva giggled.

“I was not snoring, I just closed my eyes for a bit to rest them.”

“Were you also resting your throat? Your mouth was opened for 10 minutes”

Alana laughed and smacked Eva on the arm.

“You are such a liar!” Alana laughed.

Eva smiled and stood from the windowsill and walked to the aisles of books. She picked up the one book with no Braille on the spine and walked back to the windowsill.

“Hey Alana, can you read this to me? I really want to know what it says” Eva whispered as she held out the book for Alana to grab.

Alana picked up the book and a small smile formed on her face. Alana knew there was no point in reading the book since it was based on Vampires and their Beloveds. Eva had a mate which meant she didn’t have a beloved. Either way, Alana opened the book and began to read to Eva. There was no harm in letting Eva know how the love between vampires worked.

Eva sat back against the glass window and gave her best friend her undivided attention. Learning about how vampires find their true love made her feel a bit sad knowing she would never have that. But Eva decided not to dwell on the past. There was no use crying over something she couldn’t control. She would be alone for the rest of her life and somehow the thought of that didn’t make her feel bad. She Almost felt at peace... Almost.
