Aletheia stood at her desk waiting for her phone to buzz. It was expected but still, it was not happening. Clearly, she had been too prepared. Choosing to read through the notes to her latest case again the phone was put down for her to read. When she saw the screen light up it was picked up but then the name was Laura.
"Hello. Apologies but I am expecting a call from someone. You will have to wait." When the call ended her foot tapped again and then again. Perhaps he had forgotten but it was more likely that traffic had cucked them more. Finally, her phone rang but it was the same person. She hung up and felt glad as the desired name came up. Quickly she picked up and smiled.
"All right. I will be out in a second. Bye. Kisses and hugs." Jaren laughed through the phone at her clear mocking behaviour of Miah as she had done the same to Will at the close of the case. Aletheia being on the winning side and with a 100% success rate.
When Aletheia was out of the building she saw the black car and climbed in. Jaren gave a kiss and they drove off. Tired and also still bugged from the game he had just played on his PC. He was tense but relaxed when her hand rested on his thigh.
"So, what do you have planned? What was with all of your silliness today with me and work?" Jaren smiled and let a hand mix in with her fingers.
"I know it is your birthday and you only got back from Tennessee yesterday but Miriam was important. We are going to go out and I have decided that it is the summer and we can go to the beach. I was at yours yesterday and got a bikini. The first piece of swimwear I could find but you are inside all the time with work and I am because I hate the day or outdoors." Aletheia laughed and then fear crept up.

"Um. I think I should go back and pack new clothes. I mean, a bikini is a bit much." He shook his head and smiled kindly. Holding a little tighter to her hand.
"No. I think I want to see you in one. Also, I will wear my swimming trunks if you do." It took thought and mental debates before she could agree.
"Fine. Only because you are so perfect and I want to see you swim. Ha." The laugh made him pretend to be hurt. Like she had called his mother a llama. "I want a piece of that fine ass." She joked and then the car came to a halt at a poorly lit beach. Not a soul was seen and Aletheia had never been so glad in her life. The pair got out and walked over the sand. It still held some warmth from the scorching day.
Towels were laid down and the smooth sand ran between toes as her heels had been left in the car. A bag with new clothes and the unfortunate bikini was carried. Aletheia had to walk. That was all.
"Did Tyler tell you?" Jaren agreed and then they laid on the towels. Side by side as the moon shone on the beach and onto them on the beach.
"I met you two days after your birthday. I do wish we had met before." Jaren turned so his body was almost on her body and they felt the night slip away.
"Come on then." Aletheia reluctantly agreed and wrapped the towel around her and then changed. There was a moment of silence as Jaren laid on the towel still. Aletheia stood with a tapping foot but his eyes only moved to watch her. He said nothing and so Thia moved to her knees at his feet. Still, he had a pair of eyes trained to her until he closed them as she was still for a little while in that same place.

Suddenly, a hand rose to his knees and then they were spread apart slightly. Aletheia let her body slip between his knees and then she hung over him. Her lips lowered to just above him. Not quite touching but they had very little space between their faces.
"You need to get changed too." Jaren tried to close the space between them but Aletheia pulled back. Soon she was straddling him on the beach. Her hands lifted the top over his head and he laughed. Clearly, she wasn't one to play around alone.
"Someone's keen." Aletheia laughed and then planted a kiss on his lips. Slowly her hands moved to his chest and his hands moved to her back. Instantly her body pulled from his as she smiled.
"Let's just go." As she said this he pulled her back to him so that they faced each other with her on him. They kissed again but as his hands touched her bottom she jumped up and pulled him up also. She pushed him to change and the pair got into the water. It was warm and the sun had kept it so at the day had been spent warming it.
The two splashed each other and pushed at the other person. Laughs filled the empty beach as the night grew colder. The skimpy outfits didn't help as the wind had more of a surface to work on. Aletheia felt herself feel truly relaxed for the first time in a while as she talked with him. Suddenly disappearing under the water Jaren popped up and his arms wrapped around Aletheia. She pushed at him until they were apart.
"Thia. I have noticed you being funny. What is it?" The question hung as Aletheia looked in all directions but at Smii7y. The water had reflected the moon so well that she felt a smile form.
"I just don't like my body, well, when I'm dressed like this." He kept his eyes up but his hands moved down. No matter the attempts Aletheia couldn't stop what he was doing. His hands moved from the top of her shoulders to her cheeks. Clearly, Thia was uncomfortable but Aletheia couldn't do anything. When he stopped at her thighs she felt him pull and they were chest to chest.
"I love your body," He commented before a kiss landed on her forehead. A smile came to Aletheia's face and she leaned against his chest. The day had been a long one and Will kept her on edge as he had sent the usual set of flowers to her. With a note promising to see her later.
"Lust. When you prefer a body or the outer appearance of a person or thing rather than what is beneath the outside." Jaren held to her tightly. Not letting much room between them both.
"Good thing I love your mind and attitude more than anything in the world. Your body is just a little bit behind that. To stop lust is all. I do love you." Aletheia laughed and the two walked up to their things. Towels were held as they changed. Dungarees had been pulled for Aletheia and a crop top.

The seven worlds have been a place of war and carnage for hundreds of years. The strong enslave the weak and take over their world just to have some extra space. A race of demi-humans takes over the priceless first world for years. The humans grow tired of living in the lower worlds and challenge the demi-humans to war. Armad is an innocent bystander from the third world whose village is engulfed by the war. He doesn't care about ambitious humans or greedy demi-humans. All he wants is to save his dying mother. Will he be left alone to cater to his mother, or will the universe be cruel enough to stand against him? *** Rpg system has no stats or leveling up (not in the traditional way), but there are numbers. MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
