Happy steps led to the floor as a box was kept close. Long blonde hair was swung as the day passed. The hall was almost crossed when 101 opened. The usual Jaren walked out and then the blonde, followed by a large hoard of people. All laughing and recording on various devices. The smile she held was a little wider as she came across the group, convincing herself that she was happy. The huddle of men all looking hyped for something. She gave a kind greeting smile and as she was about to enter her flat Jaren piped up.

"Do you not have work?" Some were still up to something as they spoke and profanities left their lips. Jokes were heard but not even considered as the pair looked at each other until Aletheia could comprehend the words that he had just spoken.

"Oh. Sorry, that took me a question. No, it, I, sorry. Not been my day. Anyway, I just quit my job." The others had all silenced as they had been speaking slightly. The start of her response left her embarrassed but it was forgotten as he spoke again.

"You seem happy." She nodded and lifted the box a little.

"If you knew what was in here you would know why. Anyway, you guys all seem to be busy. I shall leave you to it." Her smile was a wide one and the thought of chocolate being in the box filled Smii7y. Then he caught sight of the hand that held the box and noticed she no longer had the ring on. Her eyes followed his and she just nodded with a pair of tight lips.

"Oh, you found out then I guess." He had let it slip before he had thought about it and the blonde she recognised shouted his name to berate him.

"You knew? Well, bugger me. Anyways. I had been raised on the belief that Canadians were kind. They only seem to hurt me. I am quite against your kind. I shall stick to the Brits. We have sexier accents." Her joke was not missed and he laughed, slowly.

"So, you don't have a job? You don't look at all worried." With a shrug, Aletheia looked at her box.

"I had been offered a job months ago. I gave a call and I got it. I start next week. All I can do now is wait." He was amazed at how she just had work.

"What are you doing today?" One of the boys behind him asked out of the blue and she shrugged her shoulders. She made a comment about eating chocolate and slipping into a deep depression but that was only laughed at. The lanky brunette invited her and all of the boys agreed. They seemed up for it so she went with it and put her things into her flat and grabbed her purse. Not sure on how she felt about it. It turned out she was needed as the group had no clue on how to get to the shop desired. Or any shop. With her directions in the car at the front, they got there. Food was the first thing they got. A man she learnt to be Craig picked someplace she had never been to.

Aletheia sat right at the other side of the table and luckily the man beside her was Jaren and as it was circular the man on the other side of her was unknown but he gave a loving smile. In her line of work, Aletheia was well used to sitting with strangers. The men all held a talk and recorded each other. Jokes were then shared and food ordered. Seafood was avoided but Jaren had told her what was a nice meal. The food smelt nice as it wafted from the kitchen.

When the food arrived the cameras were dropped to the table and cutlery was picked up. Aletheia had chosen lasagna with a side of chips. Jaren had ordered the chips but he wanted to share them with her because he believed them to be the very best.

"So, are of you vloggers, or a different kind of YouTuber?" The question stunned them as she had made no comments until then. They all nodded and agreed with her, admitting to being a mix between the two. She smiled widely.

"My little sister spends her life watching some YouTubers. I only watch YouTube for how to do things or if she puts it on the big screen." The comment was acknowledged but quickly glossed over.

"All right big shot. What is your job? Or was your job?" The comment didn't pass and she choked on the sauce in her mouth as he said this. A few 'Tyler' voices came and then she realised his name.

"Well, Mr Tyler. I am a very important sort of person. I wish. Until today I was a personal representative." The comment brought out a few sounds of pleasant surprise.

"So, you are a social worker?" Aletheia had opened her mouth to reply but she ended up laughing. She took a second and then she responded.

"No. I have worked with social workers, kids and I have worked against them. My line of work brings both sides." Instantly they all felt unsure of what she actually did. She was involved with social workers but she was not one herself.

"So you work for the government?" Shaking her head more food was eaten. Jaren had grown interested as he regularly saw boxes in her arm but he never questioned.

"What the fuck do you do then?" Tyler was at a loss for ideas. He had no clue as to what she could have done as a job. She was well paid, but what for?

"I have also worked for and against this very government. But no. I am not part of any sort of government organisation." Then it seemed to trigger Tyler as he looked on in a mock pissed look. "All right, fine, I will tell you. I am a lawyer." Complete shock and disbelief met their faces as she sat awkwardly.

"What do you focus on?" Jaren asked, he had wrongly assumed that they had all moved onto new topics but they all listened.

"Mainly criminal law, however, I could do a case for family and things like that. I mean, if you are a killer I can lessen your sentence far easier than work your divorce but I have no craps to give. It may take me longer but I get the results." As she said this the bowl of chips was pushed a little closer as Jaren had tried to get her to eat one and she gave in. The chip was chewed on and she quite liked it.

"So, what sort of things do you do? I mean, I see you haven't been vlogging at all today." The table filled with discussion. The man at her left was discovered to be Anthony. He was a laugh and she couldn't help but laugh at everything he said.

"Games. You probably never heard of them. I play CS:GO. Golf, Cards against humanity and things like that." She nodded and looked to know them.

"My sister watches videos like that. Also a really weird game. Gang beasts? No, I think it is something like that. Weird blobs of bold colour and they all push each other to death. You can punch them." He nodded and ate a mouthful of his squid.

"Have you ever tried chilli squid?" The real answer was a no but she seemed hesitant to give that answer. He took a piece and put it on her plate. She looked really unsure until giving in and using her fork to eat it. Her face lit up.

"Don't. I get addicted to shit like this." As she spoke Jaren laughed and shook his head at her. She was being serious but she also saw the funny side.

"Right. Thia. We have a bet. What was the worst case for you? As in, most scaring." A deep breath was brought through her teeth as she thought.

"I had a rape and murder case. Their body was then sliced and diced. All the while the next victim watched and was then raped. She survived though. I mean, it was rough." Their faces looked repulsed and they looked at the people around them. "As a lawyer, you have to pretend to be all stone and unfazed." They kept the grossed outlooks and went back to their food. It was clear none had won the bet as they made no more comments. "I..." Before anything else could be said her green eyes widened and she looked at the two stood at the front of the shop. Ready to be seated. Aletheia smiled unconvincingly and she stood. As she went to the bathroom she passed the two by. Tears ready to fall. Jaren caught a glimpse of who it was and got John's full attention. When he looked over he went all open-mouthed.

"Fuck me," Was said and Jaren agreed. The two could do nothing as the pair sat in the eye line of Aletheia. She was gone for a long time before she returned and she was on the phone. As she walked she had to pass the two and that was when they noticed her. She stayed on her phone even when sat on her chair.

"Oh, Lils. Can you talk to Miriam? I know I am asking a lot but she is in a tough spot. I am aware of the scene. She got herself full-on keithchegwin. Well, she is. Look, happy or not she is pregnant. Love you Lils. I will see you soon. Actually, mum said you can be with me all summer. After your exams as a birthday treat. You can come with me to the firm. No, Will and I are over so you will not have to speak to him. Talk later. Love you loads." The phone was hung up and a smile was given to Jaren.
