《Turning Larissa (GirlxGirl)》Chapter Seventeen

Rob and I climbed for around an hour, before deciding to take a break. He went to drool over Alice at the desk, while I sat down on a sofa beside the mats, with a drink of water.
I noticed a familiar face staring at me, from across the room. It was Jade, the hot red haired girl from Larissa's party. She was wearing a polo shirt with the gym logo on, and I realised how she knew Larissa and Alice. She smiled, and walked over to where I was sitting.
"Hey. It's Ivy, right?" She asked, looking embarrassed.
"Yeah, it is," I laughed.
She sat down in the chair opposite me.
"I haven't seen you here before. Is this how you know Larissa?"
"Uh, yeah, kind of," I replied.
"So... the other night was crazy, right?" Jade said. I could see she felt awkward talking about it, so I wasn't sure why she was.
"I don't know about crazy," I said. "It was definitely interesting."
"So... this might sound stupid, but my boyfriend and I broke up after the party. I know you said you wouldn't call me, but I was hoping to change your mind."
I raised my eyebrows at her, and she still looked embarrassed. She scribbled her number down on a piece of paper, and held it out in front of me. I considered taking her number, but Larissa appeared in the doorway behind Jade, catching my eye.
"I'm sorry, Jade. I'm not really dating right now," I said. I started to feel nervous, as Larissa began walking towards us.
"I wasn't asking for a date, Ivy. I just wanted to fuck," she replied, standing up. She looked annoyed as she walked away.
Larissa raised an eyebrow, questioningly at me, as she took Jade's seat, opposite me.
I shrugged my shoulders and laughed.
"She's a little crazy," Larissa whispered.
"How are you?" I asked, ignoring Jade's glare from across the room.
"I'm good," she replied. "And you?"
"I'm okay."
I was anxious about the fact that neither of us were acknowledging our kiss, but I didn't want to be the first to bring it up.
"No injuries today?" She teased.

"There's still time," I joked.
She stood up, and pulled her polo shirt over her head, revealing her grey sports bra that matched her gym leggings.
"C'mon, I'll race you," she grinned.
I quickly peeled my eyes away from her toned abdomen, to look at her green eyes. I smiled shyly, and stood up, fastening my chalk bag around my waist again.
"If I win, you buy dinner for me, Alice and Rob tonight," she said, still grinning.
"And if I win... I get a kiss," I said. Larissa's cheeks turned pink, and her teeth grazed her bottom lip, just for a second.
She nodded timidly, then turned to put her hands on the climbing wall.
"Ready?" She asked, and I nodded. "Go!"
I quickly began to climb up the wall. I was a lot more careful this time, I didn't want to fall. At first I considered letting her win, so I could stare at her ass as she climbed, but my prize would be worth missing out on that for.
I quickly managed to pass Larissa, and stopped to blow her a kiss, before continuing to the top of the wall. I looked down at her, grinning happily, and she laughed at me. She brought herself up to my level, and held on tight to the holds.
"To be fair, last time you climbed, you fell before you reached the top. That was quite misleading," she joked.
"Fraudulent, really," I replied, with a wink. Larissa laughed, and started to climb down the wall. I followed her, feeling really pleased with myself.
When she got to the bottom, Larissa waited for me to get down too. Without any warning, she grabbed my face with both hands, and turned my head sideways, planting a kiss on my cheek. My jaw dropped.
"You didn't say where you get the kiss," she said smugly.
"You could have at least let me choose where," I pouted.
Her face reddened again at my comment.
"And I'm misleading..." I muttered, walking back to the sofa where I sat before.
"Oh my God, you're such a baby," she laughed, sitting down next to me.
"Well, I was kinda hoping you'd kiss me like you did yesterday."

Her face dropped when I spoke, and I felt stupid for mentioning it.
"Ivy... I- I don't- you know I'm with Brandon. I can't just-"
"So why did you kiss me?" I asked, frowning.
I could tell she felt guilty, by the way she looked at me. But I wanted to know why she kissed me. I wondered if it was because she was pissed off at her boyfriend, or because she had one too many beers, or whether there was the slightest chance that she kissed me because she wanted to.
"I don't know, Ivy," she said quietly. "I'm sorry."
I smiled awkwardly, and nodded. She took my hand in hers, and I pulled away from her.
"I'm gonna head home now," I said, and stood up.
"Ivy, wait," she said, and followed me out of the gym to my car. "Please talk to me, I don't want you to be mad at me."
"I'm not mad, Larissa. I'm... confused," I told her.
"So am I."
I brought my eyes up to meet hers, and saw that she looked conflicted.
"What're you confused about?" I asked, staring into her emerald green eyes.
"About Brandon, and about you... about everything," she said.
I stood there in silence for what felt like a week. I had no idea what to say to her. My heart was racing, and I was even more confused than before. It sounded like she was trying to tell me she liked me, but I had assumed things like that before, and been wrong. I would need her to actually tell me, before I did anything about it.
"I need to go, Larissa," I said, unlocking my car.
"I finish at eight. If you want to talk properly, I'll be home after that," she replied. I nodded in acknowledgement, and got into my car.
I watched her in the mirror as I drove away. She ran her hands through her hair, then walked back into the gym.
When I pulled up at home, I got out of the car and lit a cigarette straight away. I felt myself calm down as the smoke filled my lungs, it didn't seem to taste so bad when I needed it.
My phone rang, and Rob's name flashed up on the screen.
"Dude, what the fuck?" He said, the second I answered the call. I realised that I had left him at the gym.
"Shit, I'm sorry. I'll come back now."
"It's okay, Alice is bringing me back now, she's on a break," he replied.
"Okay. See you in a bit," I said, and ended the call.
I finished my cigarette, and lit another. I was still trying to wrap my head around what Larissa had said to me. She was confused about Brandon, and about me. And now, I was a lot more confused about her.
I was staring off into space when Alice's car stopped in front of me.
"What were you and Larissa talking about?" Alice asked, out the window. "She hasn't said a word since you left."
I just shrugged my shoulders, and dropped my cigarette on the ground.
"Doesn't matter," I said.
Rob kissed her quickly, then got out of the car.
"Talk to her, okay?" Alice requested.
"Okay," I replied, as she drove away.
Rob and I walked up the steps to our apartment.
"What the hell happened back there?" He asked as I opened the door.
"I really don't know," I murmured, sitting on the sofa.
"You gonna talk to her?"
"I think I need to," I answered. "She asked me to go round after she finishes work."
He nodded, and sat next to me.
"I can't believe you left me at the gym, you bitch," he said playfully, and I laughed.
"Yeah but it gave you some more quality time with Alice," I replied.
"That's true, but still..."
"Shut up Robert," I laughed. "I'm going for a shower."
Rob turned on the TV, as I left the room. While I was in the shower, I decided that I would go to see Larissa later. I needed to talk to her, for my own sanity, more than anything else. I had so many questions for her, and I felt really bad for leaving her like that earlier.
I waited impatiently for eight o'clock to come around, then got ready, and got into my car quickly, and drove to Larissa's house.

BF Training Course
Story about a man who trusts and loves his girlfriend. Basic premise is that your girlfriend is leaving on a trip and wants you to take part in some mysterious course while she's gone. Figuring out what the course is about is a big part of the story. Mostly the story will be focused on dialogue and thoughts. One of my goals is for there to not be any potentially interesting conversations that are skipped past, many times I've been reading some story and hated it when some really interesting conversation is just summed up without going into enough detail.
