When Hermione arrived at Three Broomsticks, her eyes immediately landed on Erin, who was sitting by herself, half full glass of butterbeer in front of her as she stared into nowhere. She didn't even register her girlfriend until she was tapped on her shoulder by Hermione.

"Hey," greeted gently Hermione and took a seat next to her. "How did it go?"

"It went okay," Erin placed her head on the Gryffindor's shoulder.

"You don't look very happy."

Erin sighed. "Draco Malfoy is my cousin and Bellatrix Lestrange is my bloody aunt, I'm never going to be happy because of that."

Hermione rubbed her arm. "I know it's a shock, I'm sorry. You know. . . you could talk to your mum if you'd like to."

"I don't wanna talk about a thing like this over a letter. This needs to be discussed in person."

"You don't understand Erin," said Hermione and the Slytherin pulled away from her, her eyebrows furrowed. "We could go to the castle now and talk to Professor McGonagall. I think she wouldn't have a problem with you using a floo in her office or in Dumbledore's. But you don't have to, of course. You can wait until Christmas break."

Erin thought about it for a minute in silence and then decided that she doesn't want to ruin her Christmas break mood.

"I would like to do it now."

---

For Erin, the walk to the castle felt like forever. Especially with the cold Scottland weather that made Hermione scold Erin for not wearing any jacket. Hermione took her coat multiple times and attempted to force for Erin to wear it but the redhead refused it every time.

When the girls finally arrived at McGonagall's office after walking what it felt like milions of stairs, Erin's legs felt like giving up.

Seriously, why is there no elevator? she thought.

The head of the Gryffindor house was very surprised to see someone at the door of her office when the majority of population was in Hogsmeade, especially Erin since the last time the girl and the woman talked was back in September of the year before.

It was sure Minerva was not expecting anyone as she was wearing a bathing robe and it was the first time Erin saw the woman without her iconic tight bun and realized how long the professor's hair was.

"Miss Granger, Miss McKinnon," said McGonagall. "What are you two doing here?"

"We're sorry, Madam," said nervously Erin, tugging at Hermione's sleeve. "We can come later if that's what you'd prefer."

"No, that's alright, come in." The woman moved out of the doorway so the girls could walk in. "What can I help you with?"

"I wanted to ask you," began Erin, "if there's any possibility I could use your floo for maybe an hour?"

"What for if I may ask?"

"I need to talk to my parents about something very important and if I'll wait until Christmas, I'll go insane."

"You found out, then?" McGonagall asked, pouring Hermione and Erin a cup of green tea.

Erin's eyes widened. "Do you know something?"

"I know a lot of things," said Minerva and took a sip of her hot drink. "The floo powder's in the bowl on the fireplace. See you in an hour."

Erin confusedly blinked and glanced at Hermione who just shrugged and went to take a seat in the armchair.

Erin approached the fire place and took a pinch of the grey powder and dropped it to the fire that suddenly became green, allowing Erin to step in.

Before dissapearing, she smiled at Hermione and said the adress of her house.

---

Erin appeared in the living room and the first thing she could hear was a yell of a woman's voice. She recognized it to be her mohter's.

"Mum, it's me," Erin announced and stepped out of the fireplace on the beige living room carpet.

Gwendolyn - Celeste - was sitting on a sofa, Alice in Wonderland (mostl likely the fake one) was now on her lap. The woman moved her hand off her mouth and took a deep breath to relax herself but then he began to panic again.

"Erin, what are you doing here? Is Hermione okay? Is Daphne okay? Is Luna okay? Is-"

"Everyone is perfectly alright," Erin rolled her eyes and smiled.

Gwendolyn patted on a empty spot next to her. Erin listened and sat down.

"There's something very important and I think it's time for us to talk about it." The girl looked around them. "Is dad home?" The woman nodded. "Could you bring him here, please?"

Moments later, Gwendolyn came back into the living room now with Elias trailing behind her with a visibly nervous face.

"Hi, dad," Erin smiled brigtly and embraced him before making him sit down next to her.

"God, I didn't the talk could come so soon," Gwendolyn said after a moment of silence. "I thought you're too shy for that."

Erin raised her eyebrow. "Well, of course, I needed to talk about it when I found out you've been lying to me the whole time."

"We didn't think you still believe the fact that stork carries babies," said Elias.

"What?"

"I still don't understand why aren't they teaching you these important things at school-"

"Dad," Erin interrupted with wide eyes. "What are you talking about?"

Elias furrowed his eyebrows. "What are you talking about?"

"That I know my mother and I are related to psychopaths."

While it took the man a moment to realize what is his daughter talking about, a realization was already written all over Gwendolyn's face. She opened her mouth but no noise came out.

"Well," Elias nervously laughed while looking at his wife. "Good news, Dol, it's not a sex talk," he paused. "It's so much worse."

"H-how," the woman shook her head. "How did you find out?"

Erin's hand travelled to the pocket of her jeans and pulled out the photo of Celeste, Andromeda and Narcissa.

Gwendolyn gasped at the picture. Erin could tell her mother was holding her tears. She never liked crying in front of anyone. That's something the girl inherited.

"I also talked to Andromeda."

"W-what? When?"

"Like an hour and a half ago," Erin answered. "She told me almost everything but I still wasn't sure if you're Celeste. Now, I know."

"I don't know what to say-"

Erin shrugged. "Well, how about why didn't you tell me? Let's start with that."

"I wasn't proud of where I came from and I'm sure you wouldn't be either. Bellatrix is a murderer and a very loyal follower of. . .Voldemort. My cousin Regulus is dead but no one truly cares why as they all think he was just a bad guy as anyone from our family. And he was until he matured. But he died trying to save the Wizarding World from a bad fate. His brother, my other cousin, Sirius is a murderer who is responsible for life of Lily and James Potter, Peter Pettigrew and twelve Muggles."

Erin wanted to say something about that but decided it was not the right moment.

"I didn't and still don't want you to know that their blood is flowing in your veins. I don't want you to think that there is a possibility you may one day go insane and end up just like them. I wanted to forget about my past and live a normal life without fearing that Druella and Cgnus, or worse; Bellatrix, could find out where I am and who I am now and hurt me, your dad. . . you. Do you know how dangerous that is? I told you all the fake stories about my family and that our house burnt down and everyone's dead and that I am a Muggleborn because that was so much easier than the real story. I know you value honesty in people but sometimes it is better not to say the truth. But here it goes; I was a young and stupid child who believed in everything my parents and other family members believed in. Stupid Pureblood Supremacy. I wasn't a good person, I'll be honest with you. Muggleborns around me didn't have it easy; I was just like Bellatrix, minus any Unforgivable Curse. When I started liking a girl from my year, I felt disgusted with myself because I knew Druella and Cygnus would rather disown me or kill me than ignore it. When those feelings for that girl went away, I was happy. But then your dad had to walk in with that stupid hair and charming smile. He didn't have it easy with me, either. I called him things I still regret and apologize for today. And then I fell in love with him and, well, then you know what happened. We had you and I told Elias that if I ever hurt you, he's allowed to kill me."
