《'Best Friends'》chapter four

chapter four
The next time Jasper and Mikey hang out is when Jasper convinces his best friend to come out with him to go trick or treating. Mikey was at work when he received the text from his friend, begging him to come along. Even though Mikey had no plans to go trick or treating since he was too old for it now—he's been told by the many people last year—but when his best friend was asking there was something inside him saying, 'you can't say no to Jasper.'
Sure Mikey wanted to participate with everyone else, but he mainly focused on the fact that he didn't have a costume or anything like that. He spent most of his shift with his mind in the clouds, thinking of his best friend—the things he could do to him once he was off work—what he would say to Jasper so they could skip out in trick or treating, the possibility that Jasper could successfully persuade him and the consequences of that action. What would he wear?
When seven o'clock rolled around his manager, Miranda, reluctantly sent him home, pulling some other newbie into her scheme to get them to do mundane tasks. He rushed out of the building, pulling his phone out to call Jasper. All Mikey wanted to do was either hear his friend's voice to calm him down, or have Jasper come over so they could fuck and calm Mikey down. Either way, Mikey wanted to be around and hear Jasper's voice one way or another.
Jasper answers with a chipper, "Mikey!"
Involuntarily, a wide smile spread on Mikey's face. His cheeks hurt slightly from how wide it was, but he softened the grin and asked his friend how his day was going. It was just a simple conversation until Mikey had the courage to ask his best friend to come over.
"Y'know, you never answered my text about tonight. Are you coming with me to go trick or treating? Ricky says his development is full of rich people."

Mikey could hear the smirk and manipulation for the rich people in his best friend's voice. When he put it like that, there was nothing more the younger of the two wanted to do. So, he caved and confessed to Jasper that he didn't have a costume.
On the other end of the phone call Jasper specifically asked Mikey, "do you still have your Boy Scout outfit?"
He asked about it because Mikey looked amazing in a button down and tie. That's why Jasper loved being around his friend right after he got off work—he needed to wear a button down to his job so he looked semi-professional. There was always the times when Mikey had an extra shirt with him, or he'd go home before hanging out with Jasper and change, but Jasper liked Mikey in any outfit.
Mikey's eyebrows curled together, mentally searching his room if it was in there. When he came up with the vision of the his tan shirt with patches sewn on the sleeves and shoulder area, then his army green pants in the bottom drawer of his dresser. He would have to ask his grandmother for the red tie, but he had most of the uniform.
"Yeah I have it, why?" Mikey was oblivious until he heard his friend chuckle. Then, he was asking, horrified for the answer, "you're not gonna make me wear that, are you?"
But the answer was not what he wanted. Jasper laughed and told him, "hell yeah! I have mine so you won't feel as embarrassed, Mikey."
Their phone call ended with Mikey growling at his friend and Jasper making a kissing sound, then telling him he'd be over soon. Mikey made his way to the kitchen for food and grinned to his grandmother. She smiled, reminding him that his younger brothers were going trick or treating, so if he'd want to, he could hand out the candy bags this year.

Every year, since the passing of the Balm children's parents, their grandmother dressed up as the grandmother from the story of Little Red Riding Hood and handed goodie bags out to the trick-or-treaters.
Mikey had to pass it up, and told her of his plans with his best friend. She showed him where she kept his tie and handed it over. Then, his grandmother was saying sternly, "you bring it pack in one piece, you hear me Michael?"
Once his full first name came out of her mouth he tensed. He knew she was serious when she didn't call him 'Mikey' like everyone else did in his life. So, he gave her his word and went up to his room until Jasper would come over.
Upon opening the door, Mikey was surprised to see another boy in the room. His little brother looked up from the screen of his Switch and nodded. Mikey stood still in the doorway and stared intensely towards Aiden's friend. Once their game of Mario Kart was over, Aiden introduced the boy.
"This is Cadence."
Cadence smiled and waved, giving Mikey some weird vibes. He looked like he could be eighteen, but the way he acted said he wasn't. He was a geek like his brother and he had on a pair of glasses with thin black frames and a pair of deep dimples. But, even with the glasses and dimples the boy looked like a player.
So, Mikey said, "hurt my brother and I'll hurt you," while pointing his finger at Cadence. The boy nodded, giving a two finger salute, then going back to the Switch.
Mikey went to the shared closet and opened his side, rifling through the shirts for the further back shirt—his Boy Scout shirt. Looking over his shoulder, he asked his brother and his friend, "you two going trick or treating?"
"Nah," Aiden replied without looking up and grunted when Cadence elbowed him. "Okay, fine. Yes."
Mikey smirked at the interaction, but didn't say anything. Instead, he focused on finding the rest of his Boy Scout uniform that he hasn't worn since ninth grade. His body hasn't changed much either, so he was pretty sure he'd fit everything. Mikey kneeled down to the dresser and he heard the front door open then, but he didn't look away from his search, knowing Jasper would come right up to the room. But, that wasn't case and Mikey frowned, looking over his shoulder.
Aiden teased, "what, did you boyfriend curve you with Nanny?"
The older brother sent a glare towards his younger brother and gruffly spoke, "we're not dating, and so what?" Then went back to looking for the pants. He ignored the door opening, but he couldn't ignore his best friend pressing his groin against the back of his neck. Almost automatically, Mikey sent his hand back and slapped his friend's dick.
Aiden laughed at Jasper falling to the floor and Mikey turning to look down at him. He didn't have to know what was whispered, but he could safely assume it was something sexual by the way Jasper's eyes dipped down to look at Mikey's package. Beside him Cadence softly asked,
"Are you sure they're not dating?"
Aiden shook his head. "Nah, they only fuck. They're best friends though."

So I'm cutting this chapter on half, because there's a lot to happen still, and I didn't want this chapter to be WAY longer than the others.
