Mikey Balm and Jasper Kirk have been friends since their early middle school years. They were there for each other at rough times, their first alcoholic drinks, first girlfriends, and they were there for the other when one went off to college.

Now, it's all confusing for both boys because once you add sex to a friendship it can never be the same again. So, when Jasper figures out his feelings he hesitates to tell Mikey, the first thing he's ever kept from him before. On the other hand, Mikey didn't know why or when he started to want to kiss his best friend, and there wasn't any way he'd go to the culprit himself to figure that out. So, he struggles to figure everything out on his own.
