《Growing Attached To My Competition ✔️》Chapter 82 - Brody's Parents

"Mom? I'm off to Brody's now." Adrian called from the stairs as he was about to leave the house.

"Wait!" Sally came out of the kitchen holding her keys in her hand, as she then offered Adrian a lift. "I could drop you off on my way to work if you like."

"I'm sorted mom, I need to pick some stuff from the store before I get there anyway." Adrian told her as they walked out together.

Kissing her son on the cheek before she got into her car, "I'll see you both tomorrow on Christmas Eve then."

"Love you." Adrian told her as he waved goodbye.

Adrian put his headphones on as he walked to the nearest grocery store. He was already carrying his backpack with him as he eventually made his way inside.

Immediately heading towards the frozen food selection, Adrian picked out a tub of Neapolitan ice cream and added it into his basket.

He then waddled over to the dairy section of the store, as he had a glint in his eyes when saw a can of whipped cream.

Adding it to his shopping with glee, he stopped in front of the sauces and added chocolate syrup, and a bottle of hot fudge sauce.

Since Adrian won the bet last night, he was planning to claim his prize tonight - with Brody, and an empty apartment.

~~~~~~~~~~
Brody opened the door to Adrian with his backpack full, and a shopping bag in his hand. He instantly smiled when he saw the smirk on Adrian's face, both of them knowing that the rest of the night was going to turn into some weird fun.
Adrian walked past Brody and set down all of the food he bought onto the table. Brody took a quick peek at the bags, before Adrian then averted his attention by kissing him.
"No peeking..." Adrian told him with a grin that reached his eyes, "You'll find out soon enough."
"Well... what are we waiting for?" Brody teased.
Adrian thought that Brody was right, there was no need to wait. He pushed Brody towards the bedroom as he brought in the bags of food with him, walking past the shirt that Brody took off and threw onto the ground.
A shirtless Brody made himself comfortable on his bed, matching the grin that was on Adrian's face. "You not get enough from last night?"
Adrian shook his head as he climbed on top of Brody, sitting on his lap. "Nope, not enough. Now that I won, I think it's time I get my prize."
~~~~~~~~~~

"Shit! That's so cold!" Brody squealed as Adrian began lathering his chest with ice cream.

Adrian teased Brody further by adding more of the frozen treat onto Brody's body, enjoying the low key torture his boyfriend was experiencing. "Let me get that for you..."

Both of them were in their underwear as Adrian had spent a while eating off Brody's body.

Adrian licked the dribbling pool of ice cream that was running down Brody's ribs, taking his time as his tantalising tongue licked him clean. "Any better?"

The contrast between the cold ice cream and Adrian's warm tongue gave Brody the excitement he didn't know he liked. Adrian being able to play with his food, and play with his body at the same time was a kind of fun torture for Brody, as he had to refrain himself from ruining Adrian's experience.

The secret bet was for the winner to be able to do whatever they wanted in bed, and Adrian chose to satisfy his sweet tooth with his overflowing sexual libido. Using Brody as his serving tray, Adrian was absolutely delighted to experience something like this for the first time.

Adrian continued eating off Brody's body as he added the sauce onto him, drawing a heart shape over his chest.

"Dork." Brody joshed as he gently rubbed his hands over Adrian's sides, watching Adrian seem to enjoy himself tonight.

Adrian's laughter was soon silenced as he began to run his tongue over Brody's chest, licking him clean and enjoying the taste and the fun of it all.

"This is really working for you, isn't it?" Brody teased.

Adrian looked down at his own groin, before looking at Brody's. "I think it's working for the both of us."

"It's not the food that's turning me on, it's my almost naked boyfriend running his tongue all over my body." Brody explained with smugness in his voice.

"Noted." Adrian grabbed the can of whipped cream besides him, immediately squirting them over one of Brody's nipples.

Brody withheld the flinching from the coldness and the fear of losing his nipples to frostbite, as Adrian immediately lapped his mouth around the buds.

"Yep, it's definitely you." Brody repeated as he continued enjoying Adrian worshiping his body, using the food as an excuse to be even more shameless than possible.

With Adrian still sitting on top of Brody and holding him in place, Adrian helped them both slide their underwear off. Looking Brody in the eyes, he indicated that he was done with the food, and was ready for the real treat of the night.

Brody smirked as he then attempted to swap their positions around so he could pin Adrian down onto the bed underneath him.

But Adrian held his hand against Brody's chest, stopping Brody from moving as he kept his weight parked on top of Brody. "I want us to do it like this."

"Shit..." Brody moaned, as Adrian began to grab things from the side table.

Adrian smirked as he silenced Brody, letting him watch the show as he started preparing himself.

~~~~~~~~~~~
With both of them hitting their intense climax, Adrian collapsed on top of Brody, their chests meeting face to face as they were riding out the waves of pleasure.
After several heavy breaths, Adrian rolled himself off Brody as they were both a sweaty and sticky mess.
Both of their top halves were stained with the ice cream, the whipped cream, and the sauces. At the same time, their lower halves were painted with the result of their orgasms.
Adrian may have found his new favourite position, being on top of Brody as he controlled the pace of the sex. The power of being on top of Brody, and dominating how they had sex, was a power boost that both of them liked.
"We're doing that more often." Adrian laughed, as he felt his thighs became really tired.
Brody laughed with Adrian as he turned on his side and kissed him. "No complaints from me."
Adrian was using his fingers to play with the mess that was on his body. "We both definitely need to shower."
Brody grinned with excitement as he thought they could still continue where they left off. "Now it's time for my favourite position..."
Adrian knew what Brody was going to choose, and he also loved it when Brody asserted his power by being able to physically lift Adrian into the air.
They started it early as Adrian wrapped his legs around Brody's waist, letting himself be carried into the showers as Brody chased the waves of pleasure.
~~~~~~~~~~~

The cleanup was a hot mess, with the bed sheets being in a desperate need to be washed and cleaned.

Settling themselves comfortable on the new sheets on Brody's bed, they were holding each other into the night when Adrian's eyes drifted towards the door.

"What's that?" Adrian asked as he indicated towards the suit by the door.

"Hmm?" Brody turned his head to look at where Adrian was pointing to. "A chicken costume... Work has a new dress code."

"Really?" Adrian punched Brody as they both laughed. "I didn't even notice your suit was hung up there before."

"Because you were too horny too notice..."

"Brody..."

Brody took a small pause and a deep breath before he explained why he had it all laid out. "I'm going to my parent's graveyard tomorrow. You know, celebrate the holiday with them tomorrow since it's closed on Christmas."

"Sorry." Adrian stretched his hand out and reached towards Brody's tensed hands, relaxing them by holding them instead. "I didn't know."

Brody nodded his head as he understood Adrian had no way of knowing. "It's a tradition I do every year, since it used to by favourite holiday."

Adrian picked up on the fact that Brody said 'used to', which explained why Brody was never much of a holidays person now.

And here he was, openly talking about how much he loved Christmas, and saying it was the best holiday.

"I can come with you if you like?" Adrian offered, as he wanted to make sure Brody would be comfortable with him coming along too.

Brody shook his head at the thoughtful and kind offer. "That's nice of you Adrian, but you don't need to come with me. The fact that you offered already means enough for me."

Brody kissed Adrian's temple lightly before he turned off the lights, ending the conversation early.

With both of them resting their heads on their pillows in the dark room, Adrian felt himself be pulled closer towards Brody's embrace.

Brody was still as clingy as usual when they were sleeping in bed together, but this time Adrian thought it felt a little different.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrian woke up feeling all warm and cosy in Brody's bed. He stretched his limbs as felt his body waking up from the deep sleep.
He opened his eyes and expected to see Brody by his side still, but the space next to him was cold and empty.
"Brody?" Adrian called out for, only to be met with the silence of being alone in Brody's apartment.
Adrian looked towards the door and saw that the suit Brody had hung up there was gone. That was when it dawned on Adrian that Brody had left early in the morning to see his parents.
Brody didn't tell him when he was going, but Adrian didn't expect it to be the first thing in the morning. Adrian had looked at the clock on the wall, only to realise it was almost midday.
"Crap."
Adrian deduced that he was more exhausted from their night of passion than he had expected, with his body needing the rest while his boyfriend was already up and about.
He got up from Brody's bed and walked out the bedroom door. Adrian double checked if Brody was still around, but there was no sight of his boyfriend anywhere.
Walking into the kitchen, Adrian noticed a plate that was covered with a silver dome on top of it. He removed the dome and saw a fresh batch of pancakes that were still warm, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a note card with his name on it.
Adrian's heart swelled as his mouth beamed with happiness, butterflies were soaring through his body as he read the card that Brody left for him.
"Not sure how long I'll be, so I'll see you tonight. Love you. B xxx"
~~~~~~~~~~~

Brody had to be really careful not to disturb Adrian when he woke up early. He didn't want to interrupt his boyfriend's sleep, and so he thought it was best to slip out early, which would allow Adrian to stay asleep.

To make up for him ditching his boyfriend in the morning, Brody decided to whip up Adrian's favourite breakfast for him.

He didn't know how long he was going to be gone for, and he wasn't sure what mood he was going to be in after seeing his parents.

The visits usually took a large emotional toll on Brody, so Brody couldn't promise that he was going to be in an upbeat and happy mood around his boyfriend.

So Brody decided to leave a little note to meet him later - just in case he was too upset after leaving the graveyard.

With himself all dressed up and his hair styled, Brody checked to make sure Adrian was still asleep. He peeked into the bedroom and saw that Adrian was still passed out on his stomach, snoozing as he cuddled the pillow under his head.

The scene in front of him was one of the main reasons why Brody loved watching him sleep, because he thought that Adrian was just naturally adorable and cute - without even trying.

Brody quietly closed the bedroom door as he stepped out of the apartment. Leaving the apartment early in the morning allowed Brody pick out the freshest flowers from the florist - to give to his departed parents that were waiting for him at the same time every year.

Picking out the largest bouquets, Brody spared no expense as he picked the most beautiful ones in the bunch. He smiled politely to the florist as he accepted them, now heading towards his parents.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Brody was now standing in front of his parents' graveyard after a short walk there, dressed up in his suit with several fresh bouquets in his hands.
There weren't many people in the cemetery at the moment, so Brody got to enjoy the privilege of privacy - to share the moment with his parents peacefully.
"Hi mom. Hi dad." Brody greeted them as he set the bouquets down between their tombstones. "It's your son, Brody."
Brody immediately knelt down on his knees to talk to his parents, being respectful as he bowed to them as he talked.
"It's that time of the year again, your favourite holiday mom."
Brody's memory of his early childhood was always very muddled up, but there was a distinctive memory of his fourth Christmas with them - his last ever one with them.
He was given a baby blue bicycle as a present, but there were no training wheels on it. So Brody's first time on it ended up with him immediately crashing onto the floor, disjointing his elbow in the process.
The actual experience of it was painful for Brody, but it was the reaction from his parents that made it all so positive and memorable.
Young Brody had to have a sling on his arm for a week, but he was so upset about having it that he cried a lot.
So his dad put on a matching sling on himself throughout the whole week, demonstrating the courage that stopped Brody from being so upset, and resulting in him feeling like a superhero for braving out the injury.
The memory was also painful for Brody to relive, as reality came back which made him remember that he was never going to be able to make anymore memories with them.
"It's crazy that it's been 13 years since you were both gone forever, and I still miss you like crazy."
Brody began to tear up as his body was already feeling drained. He felt his body slump as he continued talking to his parents.
"Every single day I see you - with the photo in my bedroom I get to see you both everyday. It feels like you're with me every morning when I wake up, and every night before I go to sleep."
Brody began to cry as the emotional weight he felt was drowning him. "It's been so long since you were gone, and I was only a child when the crash happened."
With a hitched breath, Brody managed to let out a choked up and painful cry. "So how can I miss you so much when more of my life was spent separated from you, rather than you both being there with me?"
Brody's throat was tightened up so much that he felt he was choking because of the lack of air he was struggling to inhale. He was silently whimpering as he buried his head in his knees, averting his vision from all of the light in the world.
Despite the fact that he was blocking everything out, he felt the grass besides him sink as footsteps approach him.
With a warm and comforting hand on his back, Brody didn't need to look at who was next to him. Because he already knew who it was, and so Brody instantly wrapped his arms around Adrian.
Adrian became the pillar of strength that Brody needed, as he held his boyfriend while Brody sobbed into his shoulders.
~~~~~~~~~~

Brody was held by Adrian for a while, until he turned to Adrian and asked him, "What are you doing here?"

"I came here straight after I read the note card you left me." Adrian felt a bit weird that he was dressed down at the graveyard, compared to Brody in a suit. "Sorry I didn't dress properly, I kind of just threw on the first thing I saw."

Brody chuckled a little when he noticed that Adrian was wearing his clothes. "I like you like this anyway."

They both sat down on the grass together, crossing their legs, as Adrian pulled Brody's hand into his lap so that he could hold it.

"So, why are you here then?" Brody asked, as he turned to look at Adrian before going back to look at his parent's resting place. "I told you that you didn't need to come with me."

Adrian lost his dad to a brain tumour when he was young. He understood the void feeling a person goes through after losing a parent. So Adrian empathised, just a small amount, of what Brody was feeling - because he had a mother still.

"I've only lost one parent, so I only know a bit of the pain you feel because of missing someone during special occasions and holidays. So I didn't want you to feel that so much today, and I didn't want you to feel alone anymore."

Brody felt that Adrian was genuine with every single word he had just said. Adrian didn't have to come today, he could have just waited for him back home.

But here his boyfriend was, sitting besides him in front of his parents, and understanding some of the feelings he was going through.

"Every year, it just gets harder and harder to live without them," Brody admitted to Adrian in a heartbreaking confession. "Is it insane of me? I only spent 5 years with them, and 13 years without them. Why do I feel it deep inside of me that I miss them so much?"

Even though Adrian spent more of his life without his dad, it didn't change the longing feeling he wish he had to spend more time with him. "You're missing something every child should have had... something you could have had."

Adrian stood behind every word he was about to say, because this was what helped him navigate going through life without his dad.

"This feeling is never going to go away Brody, and no one is right if they are saying that it should. The only thing we can do is suppress the darker and upsetting thoughts that clouds us." Adrian tearfully told Brody.

"We have to embrace the good times we had with them, and the good times we should have had with them. We have to let it build us up, otherwise we'll forever be drowning in sadness and grief."

Brody ignored his own tears as he watched them slide down Adrian's face. Here was the man that understood him the most - Adrian understood everything he was going through, and every emotion he was feeling. And thus Brody knew what Adrian was saying was the truth.

"When did you get so wise, huh?" Brody joked, as he earned a smile from Adrian. "You couldn't even use chopsticks not long ago."

Seeing his boyfriend sitting besides him right now, Brody saw that Adrian was even more beautiful on this inside. It truly reflected on Adrian that the kind of man he turned out to be, was the kind of man Brody wanted by his side throughout all the tough times. And he constantly felt it on the inside, how much he was going to cherish him.

"I love you."

"I love you too." Adrian smiled back, as he continued staying by Brody's side, sharing the time they spent with his parents.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrian let Brody get everything off his chest to his parents. As they were at their graveyard for ages, Brody was able to spend time with his parents - which was taken away when they died.
With no more words needed to be shared, Brody felt that he was ready to go home. Adrian never let go of Brody's hand throughout the day, as he kept the warm embrace between them and showed him the support he needed.
"I'll be back in a minute, think I just need a breather before I say goodbye again."
