《Growing Attached To My Competition ✔️》Chapter 65 - A Cheeky Date

Brody was juggling with holding his folders full of school work, and all of his hockey gear that he had to carry. He took them out of Adrian's locker, who was gracious to let him borrow his storage space.

The bell had went off 10 minutes ago, and Brody was still trying to sort all of his stuff before he got to practice.

Shutting the locker door closed, Brody balanced everything as he made his way down the hallway. Brody had turned the corner when a random student crashed into him, knocking all of Brody's belongings onto the ground as sheets of paper scattered everywhere on the floor.

"Sorry!" The guy shouted as he ran off before Brody could get a glance of the jerk, not even bothering to help collect his things off the ground.

Huffing out an exhausted breath, Brody began picking everything up when a second pair of hands began helping him.

They had both managed to messily put everything back in place when Brody thanked the person for their help.

"Some people." Elliot joked with sympathy, referring to the guy who knocked Brody's stuff and didn't help him.

Brody agreed as he nodded. He then realised that Elliot was meant to be at practice as well. "You late for practice too I guess?"

"Yeah, Chamberlain wanted my 2 week update on how I'm liking the school and everything. And then when I got to this school, I got lost, again." Elliot laughed.

"Since we're going together, want me to show you?" Brody asked as he gestured towards the stadium.

Nodding as he appreciated the offer, "Thanks, that would be great." Elliot said.

Despite the fact that they were late and were meant to be rushing to practice, both of them took their time as Brody began to learn more about his new teammate.

"So where in Greece are you from exactly?" Brody asked as he made the effort to learn more about the new student on his team.

"Mykonos, you ever been?" When Brody told him no, Elliot explained why he should go sometime. "First of the food is delicious, you heard of Moussaka before?"

Shaking his head, "Moussaka? What's that?"

Elliot did his best to explain the dish so that Brody would understand. "It's kind of like Shepard's Pie, but more eggplant based with more herbs and spices."

"Sounds delicious," Brody admitted, "I cook quite often so maybe I'll give it a try some time."

Elliot then chose to describe why Mykonos was a very popular island that people love to go to. "For starters the night life is amazing, truly unbelievable. Some of my most memorable nights were at the all night parties that are thrown there all the time. And then there are beach parties and strip clubs everywhere, whatever the preference."

Brody saw that Elliot was clearly happy about remembering his old life. He envisioned life living over there, with the beautiful sea, and it all sounded so stunning. So it raised the question of why he ever left in the first place.

Elliot ended up laughing as he had to explain why. "Because the night life was too amazing, my education sucked because of all the partying and the hangovers. So my parents sent me and Michelle over here to get a better education, ditching the party life for a little bit."

"I guess you've set your priorities straight now." Brody respected the fact that he was now focussing on his long term future. "While the party life isn't the best over here, 'The Highway' is pretty decent for our area."

The name was familiar to Elliot, "Someone mentioned that place before too, so it must be a good place or something."

They had stopped walking when Elliot wanted to ask Brody a question. "Want to go tonight?"

Brody had to shake his head no as he had plans tonight. "I can't. I have a date with my boyfriend tonight, and it's been a while. Another time maybe?"

Understanding, Elliot planned to reschedule their night out. "Sure."

"You know, when you said that we had to dress in minimal clothes and be limbered up, this wasn't exactly what I thought you meant." Adrian told Brody.

After Brody cooked them something quick to eat at his place, Brody took them to a building in the middle of town, to a place that appeared to be a recreation centre in the middle of the evening.

When they walked inside together, Brody spoke to the receptionist before they moved into the next room. Once inside, Adrian immediately looked up to be faced with an indoor rock climbing wall.

Adrian saw the expression on Brody's face and he seemed really happy with the date idea, and excited about choosing something both of them would enjoy.

"I don't mean to dampen the evening, but are you really making us climb up there after we just ate?" Adrian couldn't even see where the climbing wall stopped, it just kept going higher and higher.

Brody turned to Adrian and casually laughed. "Yeah that was a little bad planning on my part. But I thought this would be something fun to do together."

Adrian already felt the adrenaline course through his body from just thinking about climbing the wall. Brody was right when he thought the both of them would enjoy it. Giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, Adrian showed Brody how happy he was with tonight.

One of the instructors named Victoria handed the both of them a harness and a helmet to put on. "Have either of you done one of these things before?"

When both of them shook their heads, "No worries, it's really simple to get the hang of everything once you actually do it."

They began putting on the gear, with Brody helping make sure Adrian put his helmet on extra tightly, so he could then give him a quick peck on the cheek once it was fastened.

Once Adrian shoved Brody, after both of them laughed at the cute gesture, Brody leaned back closer towards Adrian and whispered into his ear so that only he could hear.

"Your package looks extra thick wearing the harness."

Adrian choked on the air after he saw Brody wink at him. He didn't want to make a scene in front of other people, so he ended up blushing the same shade as a peach instead.

Interrupting Brody's flirt with Adrian, Victoria asked them. "Since this is a private session, I think it will be easier to teach you guys one at a time. So who's going up first?"

"Adrian will."

Adrian was surprised to be thrown in the deep end first. He turned to look at Brody when he asked, "Me? Why me? This was your idea."

"I have my reasons." Brody anonymously told him.

Victoria had already attached the rope to the harness before Adrian could ask for further details.

Following her path, Adrian managed to climb the wall with ease. It wasn't a surprise since he was athletically fit, and with this only being a beginner's course, he didn't expect it to be too difficult either.

He still enjoyed doing the wall. With it being his first experience, Adrian felt the excitement as he also liked the different kind of workout.

Adrian watched Victoria descend down the wall like she was Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. He peered over the edge as he watched her show Brody how to climb up the wall.

Once they joined him at the top, Brody privately admitted to Adrian why he wanted him to go up first.

"I wanted an excuse to stare at your ass from underneath."

After spending the rest of the hour racing each other up the wall, the pair of them left to grab some ice cream to end the date.

Adrian chose to go with a cherry cheesecake cone while Brody picked chocolate peanut butter. They were now walking home together, enjoying their ice cream as they made their way through the town.

"Did you have fun tonight?" Brody curiously asked as he took a bite out of his ice cream.

Adrian was still licking his ice cream cone when he answered. "I did, tonight's been really fun."

Adrian felt the coldness from Brody's lips when he gave him a chaste kiss on his cheek. Adrian saw Brody smile sweetly to him before he went back to devouring his ice cream like an animal.

Throughout the night, Adrian had noticed that Brody has been extremely forward tonight, and extremely sweet at the same time. He loved the mix of playful and flirty that was Brody always doing with him. And now Adrian was thinking if something brought it out in particular tonight.

"You just bring it out of me. And by the way, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed that photo you sent me yesterday." Brody told his boyfriend.

Now was the wrong time to seem embarrassed, as Brody laughed when he saw Adrian blush. "Why so shy now?"

Adrian shrugged when he bumped his shoulder against Brody. "I don't even know why I did it, it was just kind of in the moment."

"I loved it, I even masturbated to it a few times."

Adrian spat the ice cream he was eating out after he heard that. He turned to look at Brody and saw the serious expression on his face, Brody even arched his eyebrow as if he was asking 'what?'.

"You're serious." Adrian stated bewildered, more of a fact than a question.

"It's even my screensaver too." Brody confessed to a shocked Adrian.

Adrian was still in a state of shock when he heard Brody say that. "You're not serious..."

Brody smirked as he took his phone out of his pocket. Opening up his phone, he showed the screensaver to Adrian, whose eyes popped out after seeing the suggestive photo on his screen.

"You're serious!" Adrian cursed.

"Would you like a dictionary or a thesaurus for new words to use?" Brody joked.

Adrian couldn't get any other words out, he had a mixed bag of emotions. Shock, embarrassment, confidence, pride, satisfaction, bewilderment. Everything made Adrian hardly speak as he didn't know how to appropriately react.

It was Brody who had enough of the fun this time. He laughed harder when he admitted the truth to Adrian. "I changed the screensaver when we left the ice cream parlour, I just wanted to see your reaction. Priceless."

A momentary relief washed over Adrian when he realised it was joke. "Thank god you were joking. I don't want anyone else to have the chance to see it, just you."

"I only lied about the screensaver bit, the masturbating thing was still true." Brody admitted.

Adrian had to laugh then, finding it kind of funny, weirdly empowering, and kind of a turn on just imagining it.

"You're changing the screensaver back though, right?" Adrian asked as he hoped for the safety of his sanity from being embarrassed if someone else were to see it.

Brody didn't say anything as he just grinned back at Adrian. He was now wearing a shit-eating grin as he slowly backed away from Adrian.

"Brody..."

Brody quickly ran way from Adrian, phone safely in one hand and his ice cream in the other. Laughing at Adrian as he ran away, Adrian began to chase Brody to change the screensaver back.
