《Growing Attached To My Competition ✔️》Chapter 37 - Coffee

Adrian walked into the coffee shop with Brody, Adam and Ashley right behind him. Adam and Ashley went to grab a table for them all, while Adrian and Brody stood in line.
"Next!" One of the younger baristas called out from behind the counter, clearly in a mood as she hid her face within her uniform cap.
"Can I get 2 iced coffees, and one caramel macchiato please." Adrian watched as the woman with the name tag 'Camden' quickly scribbled the order on the cups, before giving them to her co worker.
Adrian stepped out of the way so Brody could order. Brody greeted her politely before she looked up and saw him.
"Oh hi there! What can I get you?" Camden cheerily served Brody, almost a different person when she just took Adrian's order.
"Yeah hi, can I just get a flat white please."
"Of course! What size? We also have warm cookies and muffins if you're interested
, or anything else behind this counter."
Adrian watched how her customer service dramatically improved when she saw Brody. She even readjusted her hat as she brushed her ponytail from her shoulders.
"Just the coffee, small would be great."
Camden nodded her head as she took her pen out. "Name?"
"Brody."
Adrian always knew the effect Brody has on people, and Brody knew it too. His cocky, cheeky and confident boyfriend could do anything and he would manage to get his way, it was a part of his charms that Adrian also fell for, just like anyone else could.
Adrian saw the way Brody smiled politely back at her, it always worked wonders on people. He even heard Camden do a little giggle for Brody as she wrote down his order.
Adrian whispered to Brody as he gently nudged him, teasing him. "Make it more obvious why don't you..."

Brody just laughed it off, only messing around like he normally does. "If you got it, flaunt it. I'm just doing my noble service for everyone that gets to look at me."
Adrian looked at Brody with furrowed brows. "You sound like a mega douche right now..."
Brody laughed again as he playfully smacked him. "Come on, you know I'm only messing."
While waiting for their order, Ashley was in the middle of telling Adam about Holly's party coming up.
"A Halloween party?" Adam checked if he heard right, "Does she know it's already November?"
"A party's a party! Her parents are away so they said she can have a small one. Plus who doesn't love dressing up?" Ashley told them all. "It's this Friday, and it's just people we know."
Adrian heard their coffee order being called out so he and Brody went to carry their drinks back to the table.
"You guys in then?" Ashley asked when Adrian returned to the table.
Everyone was in agreement as they were all looking forward to Holly's party. At the same time, Adrian was passing out the coffees they had just ordered.
"Here, these are yours, and this is mine."
"Boo, there's no funny jokes or pictures on mine." Adam whined.
Everyone else checked to see they also had nothing. When Brody came back to the table, he checked his cup and saw his name written with a heart, instead of his coffee order like everyone else's.
After showing his friends, they all looked towards the counter and saw Camden look sheepish as she then looked away from Brody.
"Someone's got a crush!" Ashley cooed as she joked with Brody.
Brody took a drink from his cup and some of the milk was on his upper lip. Ashley pointed it out to Brody so that he could clean it off.

"I bet Camden would love to help you there, mate." Adam chimed in, also finding it amusing how the young barista was still discreetly checking Brody out.
"Maybe you can help me instead, babe." Brody wiggled his eyebrows at Adrian, who in returned threw a napkin at Brody to clean it off himself.
"Cleaning myself off, I had to do that the other day..." He whispered quietly so that only Adrian could hear him.
Adrian choked on his drink as he gave Brody a side eye glance. Brody feigned innocence as they all watched Adrian clean the coffee off his face.
"Can you guys drink without spilling it everywhere?" Adam asked the pair.
When Brody took a sip to illustrate he could, Ashley noticed more writing under his cup. She pointed it out as they all looked at the phone number, no doubt who was on the other end.
"I think my drink taste funny?" Adrian pondered as he looked at his cup.
Adrian stretched it out to Brody to take a sip. Brody looked back at him, confused. "And you want me to taste your funny drink?"
Adrian pushed it closer to Brody so he could try it. After doing so, Brody told Adrian. "It tastes fine to me."
"Oh, well if it tastes fine to you then you take it. We'll swap and I'll take your drink." Without even asking, Adrian took Brody's flat white and drank from his cup, making sure that he looked at Camden while doing so.
Seeing Camden walk away dejectedly after watching it happen, understanding the cock block from him, Adrian felt only a tad bit guilty with his childish and jealous behaviour.
But mostly Adrian was satisfied with marking his territory, without having to pee all over it.
Adam and Ashley were too busy talking intimately together when Brody clocked on Adrian's behaviour. Like the sun setting, it all dawned on Brody at what Adrian was doing. Taking his cup so that Camden couldn't give her phone number to Brody, and then him staring her down.
Brody moved closer to Adrian so they could talk quietly to each other, teasing him in the process. "It's so cute when you're possessive like this. If we weren't so open in public I would be kissing your dorky face right about now."
