《ALL MINE (GxG)》20

After leaving the club last night, with the excuse of not feeling that great, I headed home. Upon entering my room, I instantly began getting unready before climbing into my soft covers and drifting to sleep. With no classes and the semester being over due to finals passing, I actually got to sleep in and lay lazily in bed. Somehow, I ended up laying there all day with a few trips to the bathroom and one trip downstairs for food. Luckily, J&J had hangovers and were both off in their rooms, so I didn't have to provide an explanation for last night or how I'm acting today.

However, Jade and Jaci ended up deciding they were going out again tonight and even tried to convince me to come with, but unsurprisingly it wasn't enough, especially with what happened last night. I fall back into another deep sleep before my door swings up and the lights are flipped on which easily earns a groan from my lips.

"Guys I already said that I don't want to go out,"

"Well, I'm not taking no for an answer," Griffin's deep voice echoed in my room causing me to sit up abruptly from my warm bed, "Surprised?"

I can't help the smile that grows on my lips, "Griff what the fuck," I laughed, "What are you doing here? How did you even get in?"

"I'm your fairy godmother, and I'm here to help you get over whatever spell this woman has on you—Jade and Jaci let me in when they were leaving to go to the club," he informed me, "If they weren't here to let me in then my back up plan was ringing the doorbell until you answered,"

I give him a narrowed look, "She doesn't have a spell on me,"

Griffin scoffs playfully, "The fuck if she doesn't—I mean seriously, why are you in bed right now on a Friday night in New York. Also, why do you look like you haven't brushed your hair in days? You also look a little pale—"

"Okay mom," I mocked him before reluctantly rising out of the bed. I finally get a full look at his outfit noticing he's in a white button-up with ripped light jeans and colorful Nike dunks.

Griffin rolls his eyes, "I assume by you getting out of bed that you're going out?"

I let out a dramatic huff, "I guess," I said, "But only because I know you won't give up until I agree to go," I point a finger at him.

Griffin chuckles, "Oh Avina, you know me so well honey plum,"

I visibly cringe at the pet name, "Please spare my ears," I said animatedly which earns a laugh from Griffin.

"I'll be downstairs pre-gaming whatever liquor you guys have—don't be a typical girl and take too long, please, and thank you," He exits the room quickly leaving me by myself.

I sigh before picking out a deep blue blouse that exposes my cleavage and pairing it with white ripped jeans and silver closed-toe heels. I take a quick shower, before blowdrying my wet hair and curling it. Lastly, I coat my face in natural makeup as quickly as possible, painting foundation on my face, brushing out my brows, adding blush to my cheeks, mascara to my lashes, and cherry Carmex to my lips. I feel somewhat proud of myself when I realized I got ready in under an hour before quickly pulling on the same silver necklace that I wore last night with diamond earrings and a silver shiny watch.

"There's the Avina Cabassi I fucking know!" Griffin hypes me up as I enter the kitchen where he had a couple of shot glasses and a large bottle of vodka out, "Ready to pre-game?"

"Seems you already have, but hell yeah,"

"I definitely have, but I need a refresher,"

I chuckle, "Sure you do,"

After taking a couple of shots with Griffin, we head out into the cold New York air before getting in the Uber that he ordered. I sit comfortably in the Toyota sedan as I begin feeling tipsy off of the shots we previously took. Griffin's energy somehow feels so much lighter and happier than Jade and Jaci's—maybe it's because he knows about Cayden. Also, for once, I don't care about Cayden—don't get me wrong, she's definitely occupying my thoughts, but I just don't care right now.

I furrow my brows when the Uber stops in front of the familiar club called Electric, "Griffin what did you—"

"Shh just enjoy the night," he urges with a loose smile.

I give him a blank look, he knows Cayden lives on the Upper East side and yet he still decided to bring me up here—to the exact club I ran into her at. At least the odds are somewhat slim, I mean she'd have to decide to go clubbing, and even then who's to say she didn't go to another club?

"I can't believe you," I shake my head lazily which earns a light chuckle from Griffin.

"But you love me," he grins as we get out of the car and get in line for the already busy club, "Right honey plum?"

I let out an exaggerated sigh, "Griffin at least change it up—I'd prefer bae over that any day,"

"Wow that must mean it's bad," he snickers.

"It is,"

"I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation that I embarrassingly eavesdropped on, but wow are you guys funny," a random light voice concluded, which caused Griffin and me to turn around rather quickly in our tipsy state.

The light-skinned woman was wearing a friendly smile while her brown curls framed her face. She had light makeup on with a short white long-sleeve dress and matching heels. Her brown eyes looked between Griffin and me before she held her hand out.

"Zera," she introduced herself, and I found myself admiring her unique name, when you live in New York you hear about everything, but her name was something I'd never heard before.

"Avina but everyone calls me Vina,"

"And I'm Griffin and no one calls me Griffy," He eyes me with a funny look which earns a laugh from me and Zera.

She smiles, "Well you guys seem fun, I'm here with people, but maybe I could get Vina's number and we could all go out sometime?" she asked, "Oh and you should know that I just moved to New York—but I definitely have some killer dance moves," she jokes lightly.

After a brief moment of silence, Griffin gives me an obvious nudge, which caused me to nod quickly.

Zera hands me her phone, "This way you guys can't ghost me," she said as I filled in the blanks of the contact with my information.

Griffin and I talked with Zera as the line passed by us rather quickly, but mostly due to us pre-gaming before. With the alcohol roaming our bloodstream, time seems to pass much quicker than expected. Once we arrived inside the familiar club, Zera went her own way with a cordial goodbye while we headed to the bar.

The inside of the club seemed to be packed, which is abnormal since it was a little past eleven. Griffin and I immediately bought two rounds of shots, which to my surprise, I didn't decline. I actually want to loosen up and have fun tonight with hopes of forgetting about a certain raven-haired woman. Griffin and I end up on the dance floor getting down—and when I say down, I seriously mean it. I'm comfortable with dancing with Griffin mostly due to how close we are, but also because he's gay.

"We need to find you someone!" Griffin declares animatedly as we lean against the bar.

I shake my head, "No way, not again,"

Griffin frowns dramatically, "Don't give up Vina!" he yells over the music as he held the cosmopolitan cocktail in his hands, "What if you find the Jay-Z to your Beyoncé?"

I roll my eyes dramatically, "Then they'll need to find me,"

Griffin sips his drink as he glances around the packed club before he suddenly starts waving someone random over, "She seems like she's into women,"

Oh no.

She seems like she's into women? Maybe Griffin's gaydar is just better than mine, but I'll still never understand how he could conclude that with barely laying eyes on her—and he's definitely tipsy so I know his vision isn't that great right now.

The brunette woman walks closer to us in her black jumpsuit with her hair pulled back and light eyes on us. I won't lie, she is attractive—perhaps I could go home with her and finally have a hookup. If the mood does turn out to be right then I definitely won't be rejecting her as I did Kori.

Griffin smiles as the woman now stands in front of us, "Can I ask you something very straightforward?" he asked.

"Shoot," the brunette woman yells over the music.

"Do you like women—like attracted to them?" Griffin asked which instantly made my face heat up. I can't believe he's doing this right now—I literally want to crawl into a hole and never come out.

The brunette openly checks me out with a small smile on her lips, "Definitely," she answered, which easily made my brows raise. Griffin didn't waste time pushing me toward her causing me to stumble over my silver heels, but the random woman's warm hands landed respectfully on my upper waist to help steady me, "Want to dance?"

I feel my face grow hotter before nodding, "Sure... sorry about my friend,"

The woman chuckles lightly as she guides us to the packed dance floor, "Don't be,"

We end up dancing for a little under an hour, and I actually found myself having fun with the woman whose name I haven't gotten to know yet. Our dancing only continued to grow more inappropriate with her hands inching down my waist and my back against her front. I could say that I want to leave with her, but I feel like the moment I try to... there goes Cayden intruding on my thoughts. We end up taking a breather, which was without a doubt, needed. This time I make sure to order my own drink on my tab, just because I'd feel bad if I didn't leave with her—and managed to waste not only her time but money. I still feel bad about how everything with Kori unfolded... Ugh, and she was so understanding too.

"Wow are you a good dancer," the woman's lips drift up into a smirk before she takes her tequila shot.

I chuckle as I throw back my own shot, except mine is vodka, "I could say the same about you," I breathe out as I wait for the burning in my throat to fade.

The woman steps closer to me but is halted when her phone begins buzzing on the bartop counter illuminating the name Isaac, "My brother always has the worst timing," she sighs.

"I wish I had a brother," I laugh.

She picks the phone up from the counter, "Be happy you don't," she said, "I'm going to take this outside really quick if that's okay?"

I nod quickly knowing I could use a moment to myself, "Yeah-yeah of course, I'm going to head to the restroom,"

The woman nods before walking past me while I begin weaving through the crowd. I smile slightly when I see Griffin dancing happily on the dancefloor. At least he's having fun. I continue my walk to the bathroom, hoping to get a moment of silence—or maybe silence is the last thing I need considering that's when the thoughts of Cayden pop into my head. The dim quiet bathroom felt much more peaceful, especially with the music far away and echoey. However, it did bring up faded memories from that night with Cayden. Oh, how I wish I could go back. I ignore the heaviness in my chest as I began touching up my long brown hair along with coating my lips in my cherry chapstick, but the tube quickly slipped from my hands, clattering down into the sink when I see her.
