《One Shots || stopped》Spring Love

As spring came, so did love. I saw you on the train, sitting across me, reading a book. I looked at you, and before I even knew it, I was in love.

We got off at the same station, coincidentally going to the same place as well - the library.

We went in, me in search of novels, you for whatever you wanted. I thought that was the last I would see you.

But who knew that we would end up reaching for the same book, each on one end of the book. You acted like a gentleman, allowing to take the book.

After choosing the book, it was time to find a spot to read. The day being a weekend, the library was packed. Looking around, I saw one empty spot, a rectangle chair, and headed over, glad to know I would have a comfortable spot to read.

Little did I know you were heading over to the same spot, and as I was about to sit down, so did you. Once again, you acted the gentleman, offering me the seat.

But I couldn't take it. If I did, you would walk away once again, and there's no guarantee we will meet again.

I pointed out that the rectangle chair was large enough for two people, that we could share.

You kept quiet, and I was just praying that you would agree. I moved towards the chair and sat down, patting the spot next to me as if inviting you over to sit.

You finally agreed, moving forward to sit beside me. Flipping the pages, sometimes our fingers would brush each other, making my heart race. I wonder if you felt that way too.

Time flew past, and before I knew it, it was time for me to leave. Getting up, I awkwardly told you 'bye' before leaving. Maybe I should have said more. I'm regretting.

Heading over to the train station, I plugged my earphones into my iPod and bobbed my head to the music while waiting for the train.

Suddenly, my left earphone get pulled out, and I turn, ready to scold whoever it was, when I realized it was you.

'You left your handphone in the library, and I'm pretty sure you need it.' You say, waving the phone at me.

Oh damn. How could I leave my phone there. But in my mind I somehow felt like this was another chance.

'Thanks! Really!' I say, colour rising to my cheeks from the embarrassment.

'What that's it? Won't you treat me for dinner as a thank you?' You say, pouting. I know you're joking but I actually want to say yes. I want to spend time with you.

'How do I know I can trust you, huh?' I want to hang out with you, but no matter what, you're still a stranger.

'I returned you're phone. And I'm harmless. If you want to then it's your choice.' You say, matter-of-factly.

'Uh okay, you have a point. Anything for the guy who returns my phone! But just so know, I know Karate!'

'Hahaha great. Let's go to City Hall. There's an amazing restaurant that I wanna eat from. And by the way, there won't be a need for any Karate to appear.'

As I follow you into the train that just arrived, I'm silently happy that we have a chance to hang out.

Maybe my love at first sight, will become a love shared between both of us one day. Who knows, anything can happen with the guy you see on the train.
