《One Shots || stopped》My wish upon the shooting star(2)

When I saw you walking past me, I felt a single hot tear rolling down my cheek.
You didn't know how much I loved you.
Was it not obvious enough? The way I waited outside your classroom every breaktime, and always covering up with a ridiculous lie. Or were you blinded by someone else's love to not see the bright red traces around my cheeks.
You probably couldn't notice, for the fact that I looked like that with or without you around. Even I didnt know if they were me blushing or slap-marks.
My father called me shameless for standing outside your classroom, and I earned a few slaps from being thick-skinned and throwing myself at you.
What a joke, you didn't even know.
I put out my whole heart, I was so willing to do anything for you. Did you not know, or did you pretend to be ignorant.
Berlyn, my best friend, was a beauty. And I couldn't blame you for falling for her. But I could only watch from the sidelines, I always almost bumped into poles while watching out behind both of you, behind you.
She must've found me such a nuisance, she stopped talking to me altogether. I watched as she linked arms with you and walked away, the winds flattering her straight hazel brown hair, one that I always secretly admired.
Then I saw you, turning your head and asked me if everything was okay, mouthing your words. I nodded and held back my tears. You then flashed me your smile and a thumbs up before turning back to hold berlyn by her waist.
I wanted to believe that you cared about me. I really almost do.
Until I saw you rushing forward to a high school freshman who fell down. You were just compassionate and friendly, and I was just one of those weaklings that needed your sympathy.

During prom night, I watched as you walked past me, once again. I couldn't pin-point which made me tear. The way our shoulder slightly brushed past each other, or the way you looked at her, only her, or the way you didn't stop to apologize, or give me one look. Just one.
I walked out of the hallroom, and held my high heels in my hand. I never wanted to come to prom, but I remembered a promise I made with you to come. Bet you didn't even remember talking to me.
I looked up to the night sky, and made a wish upon the the shooting star.
Guess the wish, won't you?
