Shahzain was cursing the person who interrupted them.
"Your family doesn't have manners, think it will take time to train you. Now go and look who it is?" his tone was insolent.
Seher walked towards the door as Shazain went inside to get dressed. It was her brother Shamsuddin along with an army of maids holding food.
"Abi, he is changing" Seher replied in a trembling voice. Shamsuddin was surprised to hear his sister's trembling voice.
" Is everything alright princess? Don't forget you are in your house among your people."
"Nothing to worry about. Abi, why can't we eat with everyone outside?"
"All thanks to some foolish traditions our ancestors followed, Ummi, baba said that newly wedded couples eat in privacy so that they get some bonding time and, moreover, I have to wash the hands of your arrogant husband"
Seher smiled at her brother's expression. She knew he hated doing things.
"You don't have to do it, I will do it " She replied politely, as usual.
"I can bear this for you, my little princess, you just relax and enjoy yourself and don't act like a servant to that fool. You are his wife, his equal", he patted her head.
Just then, Shazain came back fully dressed. The maids had already arranged the meal.
Shahzain sat along with Seher. Shamsuddin came with a pan and a pitcher of water.
"Brother in law, wash your hands" he bent down and helped Shazain by washing and drying his hands.
Shahzain was very happy seeing Shams bending in respect for him. If he had not been married to Seher, they would never have entertained him.
"These dishes are according to your taste and Seher. The rest is for you. I will take my leave. Call me if you need anything."
Shams left them, so they can have meals in privacy.
"Why are there separate dishes for you and me? Are your family members planning my murder? "
"No, it is because I am not used to eating spicy food. I can't tolerate the heat of Chillies"
"Stop all these tantrums. You are a married woman, you have to eat what your husband likes. Mold yourself according to my liking."
Shahzain forcefully put all the spicy dishes on her plate. Seher did not say anything and quietly started eating without complaining.
Shahzain was enjoying his meal. He looked at Seher, whose face was all red because of the spice. She was gulping down each morsel with lots of water. her tongue was burning. water was pouring down her eyes. Seher touched spice for the first time in her life. Shahzain had been looking at her for the past few minutes. Finally, he took pity on her.
"Stop dear wife, considering it is your first time, I will leave you for today. You can practice after going back to our home."
Then out of the blue, he put some honeycomb in his mouth and pulled crying Seher closer to him, and gave her a passionate kiss. She felt the sweetness of honey in her mouth, soothing her burning tongue. His tongue moved in and out of her mouth. He was kissing her like a parched man who has found water after a long time. Seher was responding to him in the same way, but for her, it was more like getting relief from the burning sensation. She devoted the kiss to him. Shahzain groaned in pleasure.
Someone again interrupted their moment. Shahzain pulled away. He wanted to hurt her but did not know why he was distressed to see her in tears. She was driving him insane. He had to be more firm. A beautiful woman would only lead to destruction, he reminded himself.

This time it was Fakhruddin and Nur Jahan. They saw the couple eating food.
"We will come back later" Fahruddin replied.
"No need. we are done" Shazain replied.
" We brought dresses for you for tonight's dinner. Please can we take Seher along with us while you rest? My sons will come later to help you get ready."
Shahzain was hesitant to send Seher away but was unable to deny Fakhruddin's request.

Ayat noticed that Seher was quite lost in her thoughts.
"What happened, princess? Seher, still there is time if you.." Her eyes went towards Seher's neck and she saw the purplish bruises.
" Did he hit you? I will kill him before anyone does " she pointed at Seher's neck.
"Ayat, keep quiet, someone will come." She tried stopping her sister but Hajra came in after hearing the screaming.
"What is the commotion about girls?"
"Grandmother that idiot hit Seher and she is hiding it ". She pulled Seher's scarf and showed it to her grandmother.
Hajra smiled, looking at her innocent granddaughters. Until yesterday, they were very happy that their dearest grandchildren were getting married and everything changed in one night.
" Ayat, that hitting is common between husband and wife. You don't worry and let your sister rest", she pulled Ayat out of the room.
"Grandmother, I hate men who abuse their wives. I will kill any man if he dares to hurt me, even if it is my husband."
Seher was very quiet and deep in her thoughts. Shahzain was like a puzzle to her. One time, he was so caring and the next moment he turned into a monster. What she did was deeply embarrassing. She openly kissed him. He made her experience unknown emotions that she had never felt. Her face flushed thinking about the past event.
Her throat and tongue were still burning, but what else could she do? She chose this for herself. Nobody was to blame. She was in this marriage just because of her father, sultan Shazeb's sacrifice. Her mother once or twice cried, recalling his death.
I will bear everything Shahzain but if it comes to my self-respect, I will give up this relationship.
Soon she drifted off to sleep.

In the evening, Shahzain was woken up by Uzbeiks. They came to dress up Shahzain for the ceremony. Salahuddin, being the eldest, tied a turban to his head and helped him with his robe when he bent down to help Shazain wear his footwear. Shahzain was giving him a vicious smile.
"Salahuddin, now you know your exact place. Near my feet"
Salahuddin clenched his teeth.
"I am doing this for my dear sister and dear brother-in-law. The day she has enough of you, then you will see my real place. Pray that she should not give up on you"
"I am really scared, Salahuddin, by your empty threat" Shahzain was testing his patience. He doesn't know why teasing Salahudd gives him extreme pleasure.
Salahuddin ignored him and got up.
"Oh! Wait, I think there is something in my shoes. Could you please check it again", Shazain complained.
He kneeled again controlling his rage. He was taking deep breaths to calm himself down.
"Salahuddin, calm yourself, you can do it. You are bearing all this nonsense just for your dear princess Seher." I was cooling myself reminding my relationship with him otherwise I would have knocked Shazain's teeth and wiped off that smile on his face by now.
It was all my fault. Being the eldest, I should have guarded my little sister like a hawk, but because of my carelessness, everyone was suffering and they had to face this.

Salahuddin was different. Instead of getting angry at Seher's foolishness, he was blaming himself. He did not focus on the security of his home. That's why it was easy for Shahzain to breach it. He was sure that someone from the inside had helped Shahzain, otherwise, it was not even possible to enter his area. Because there was more to it that was hidden, he vowed after this function he would get to the bottom of this mystery. The deed was done. Seher was married and, according to him divorce was never an option, but if Shazain hurt her ever, he would wipe him off from the earth.
***********************************************************************
Seher wore a white gown with a red-gold embroidered border and a matching red headdress. It was their traditional bridal costume. Nur Jahan came and kissed her daughter. "You look just like Hoor (Angel ) my love. May Allah bless you with all the happiness in the world."
Hajra begum and Aimen begum also gave their blessings. It was Shireen who was looking at her with tears in her eyes. She always wanted Seher to be her daughter-in-law and the day she came to know Murad loved Seher her happiness knew no bounds. She would have made a perfect pair with him. She could not even curse Shazain as he was her dear Neice's husband.
Nur Jahan saw Shireen looking at Seher with moisture in her eyes. She left the room, giving her some space to talk to Seher.
"Seher my child". She turned towards Seher and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
When Seher saw her, aunty hugged her and cried hard. She felt guilty for breaking her heart. She knew her aunty always loved her, more than her own daughters.
"I am sorry, aunty Shireen. Please forgive me."
"Shh... Brides don't cry. You know you are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. Don't blame yourself for anything. Shahzain was written in your destiny and don't disrespect him. You are very beautiful from the outside as well as inside.
He is very lucky to have you. Sometimes we don't always get what we want, what we desire, but we should cherish what we get. I will just pray that Shazain loves you more than Abi loves his Hayath. May your house be filled with happiness and kids."
Shireen hugged Seher for a long time. Paying prayers for her and her son.
I hope Murad forgets you and may he find a girl like you. She cried for her son at the same time with an open heart, and blessed her niece.
After dinner, all the guests left. There were only family members who were left behind.Shahzain clearly said that they would leave first thing in the morning after dawn prayer and if they had to bid their princess bye, then it had to be done now.
All the brothers were hugging Seher and asking her to be strong. Salahuddin came near Seher . hug her. He always treated her with the most respect.
"Seher, don't blame yourself for anything, what is done is done. We can't change it, but if you are in any problems then just send a message and we will be there with you. Never hesitate. Send us messages from time to time. "
She met her grandfather, who was like a typical Tribal man. He gave her blessings and advised her to obey her husband and be happy.
******************************************************************
Seher was in the room standing near the window looking at night stars. She was always fascinated by the twinkling stars. They looked so enchanting.
I will be leaving tomorrow for an unknown place, living with unknown people even though Ummi said about a few palace maids who she thinks will be loyal to me. Dear sky, will you look as beautiful as you look from here...
She was lost in her thoughts when Shahzain entered the room quietly. Dressed in white, red, and gold, she looked like a sexy Siren who was luring him towards her. Her headdress was on the side table. Her long, leafy brown tresses were flowing in waves. spools of them plunged around her beautiful face. Her swan's neck was elegant and smooth and was very inviting. Her golden-brown eyes had already set his heart at thump. Oh, those sugar-candy-sweet lips... He still had her taste in his mouth. It looked like she was dressed to lure him and exactly what he was going to do: worship her body.
He slowly went behind her and hugged her from the back, burying his face in her inviting neck, slowly nipping it, making circles with his tongue on her delicate skin. Seher was shocked by this sudden assault and screamed in fear.
"Shhh... Sweetheart, it's me your husband." His hands worked their way up slowly caressing, cupping them. They fit perfectly in his palms. He wanted to rip off the fabric, which was like a barrier. A soft moan left her lips. The sound drove him to the edge and he turned to her and started kissing her. Seher stood there like a staute.
" Mimic what I am doing Seher" She just closed her eyes more tightly... She was not sure she was ready. Fear gripped her heart.
Shahzain got angry seeing her not responding.
"Stop acting. I know you are enjoying it as well."
"What are you doing?" She asked innocently.
" I am claiming what is mine and I am sure your mother might have taught you how to please your husband. After all, she married twice, she is quite expe..." before he could complete his insult Seher gave him a Slap.
"I will bear whatever you do to me not a word against my mother or my family" She turned and walked away. Tears were pooling down her eyes. She did not intend to, but his words...
I did a big sin but, Shahzain, you forced me to lose my temper.
Shahzain saw all the red. How dare she? He quickly went near her and grabbed her by the arm, and threw her on the bed.
"How dare you raise your hands? I will see how much you will bear".
All his senses were blocked by anger, Seher's tears nothing mattered to him now. He thought of being very gentle with her, but that slap blinded him.
"I thought you tribal people knew how to respect their husbands, but I will teach you now."
"I am sorry. Please, I did not intend to. Your words were not appropriate"
But Shahzain was in no mood to listen to her plea. He ripped off her clothes. He was on the verge of losing his sanity seeing her naked form. She tried covering herself with her arms but, she knew it was no use. She was crying, closing her eyes. He inhaled sharply and kissed her again and again, but his kisses were not gentle like before. They reflected his anger and passion. His mouth touched her there, tracing, taunting, and teasing her. He sucked her pink ruby nubs. She almost got off the bed, her breathing got hard, but he pulled her back, claiming and marking her whole body. He continued his torture many times throughout the night and then she could not take it further and requested him to stop.
"Please Sultan"
Shahzain stopped and lay beside her trying to calm his racing heart. Finally, he made her his. She was his woman now in the true sense. He brought her closer to his heart and covered them with a blanket. Exhausted, Seher went into a deep slumber but Shazain was wide awake. He kissed her eyes. He felt guilty for being harsh on her, to begin with,
I tried to be as gentle as I could, Seher. It was very hard for me to control. Your beauty and my anger heightened my passion. I am happy that you are mine. He embraced her in a tight hug and slept. This was the first time in years that he slept so peacefully.
