《The Abducted Princess & The Vengeful King》6

All the family bid farewell to Murad and Bahar with a heavy heart. Hafeez loathed Shahzeb in the past when his sister Nur married him and the feeling was more intense towards Shahzain. His thoughts mirrored his sister Nur Jahan. He wanted Seher to get a divorce from Shahzain, but he knew that was not possible since Fakhr and Jalaluddin wanted Seher to give a chance to Shahzain.

Shahzain directly held Nur Jahan responsible for his father's death. He somewhere knew that he was wrong but his grandmother's lies and his dislike blinded him. Now seeing their happy family ignited his hatred. He wanted Nur to pay for all his miseries. He wanted her family to feel the same pain that he went through. Initially, he wanted to wipe out Nur's entire family, and make her feel the same pain that he felt when both his parents died, but that would be too easy for them. All the Uzbeks were fierce warriors like him. It was their uncle Samad who made them sign the peace treaty. Otherwise, they would have killed each other. He reminded them about the great war and the sacrifices of the Muslim brotherhood. So unwillingly they had to sign the treaty. Seeing Murad with his mother reminded him of his mother.

My mother Afshan always reminded me to forget Nur Jahan and that my father himself was responsible for his pain, but I know she did not know the real truth as she came into my father's life only after Nur Jahan left and she was the lady with a big heart. My Grandmother told me everything, the scar on her face was proof of Nur Jahan's brutality. My stepmother Seema was Nur Jahan's cousin and from time to time they met, I had news about Nur Jahan through her. Grandmother Najma Begum was a very clever and wise woman. She told me how to control the women of the palace and put my stepmother and sisters in their place. They were not allowed to speak in front of me much. I will not repeat the mistakes that my father made by giving women liberty and control.

I found out about Nur Jahan's elder daughter through my elder sister Kulsum. She always used to praise her gentle nature and she was unaware that I had an eye on that girl even before she was born. She was just born for me to be my property. Kulsum told him how protective her brothers and parents were towards her. They loved Seher more than Ayat. The little princess was kept hidden away from everyone. I knew if Seher was in pain it would directly burn them. I will break her into pieces so that it will take a lifetime for this family to put her back together. I will hurt her so much that this family will feel her pain, especially Nur Jahan. I am sorry, Seher, but you have to die the same way my father did. I have made a perfect plan. The first part was to marry you. You will never realize what will hit you next. I cannot deny that if she was not Nur Jahan's daughter she would have had a special place in my heart. I still have the feeling of those trembling lips on mine.

His trail of thoughts was invaded by the Seher when she asked his permission

"Sultan, can I go inside ?"

Shahzain did not leave Seher even for a second when they arrived. He was just glued to her. He did not trust the Uzbeks. What if it was a trap and they took Seher away?

" Where do you want to go?"

" My room, I am tired."

"OK "

"Please can you leave my hand?" she pointed towards his hand which was intertwined with hers.

Jalaluddin(Seher's grandfather), who was observing this couple from a distance, came toward them.

"Sultan Shahzain, it is nice to meet you, welcome to the family" He gave a warm welcome to him.

Shahzain bowed his head down in respect and kissed the old man's palm.

" You both look tired. Go and get some rest. We have arranged dinner tonight in your honor". Jalal ordered Shams to take Shazains and Seher to the palace with respect and arrange food and clothes for them.

Shams reluctantly agreed. Shamsuddin was short-tempered and a person who used to command Seher to do all his work and now fate turned, she had to serve the man he disliked the most. All his other brothers were busy with arrangements for tonight. Nur, Ayat, Fakhr, and the rest of the family were busy preparing gifts to send along with Seher.

Shahzain gave a lot of gold coins and jewelry as the bride price, so Fakhr was making sure that he would return more gifts than what he gave.

Shams took them to the palace which his parents specifically built for guests and special occasions. He bought Seher and Shazain a beautifully decorated room. Instead of maids, he was serving his brother-in-law as part of their tradition. Shahzain was older than him and was showing all the tantrums like a stubborn girl just to annoy him.

I wish Murad was my brother-in-law instead of this baboon. He was mumbling curses at Shahzain.

"Brother-in-law, here is the dress for you and Seher to change. . The bath is just downstairs on the left. I will arrange the meal for you."

" Wait Mr..... I forgot your name, there are so many of you with similar names. I find it difficult to remember" Shazain knew all their names and wanted to exasperate him.

"It is Shamsuddin Brother, you will learn it soon" Shamsuddin replied with a fake smile, controlling his anger.

" I do not like this material, I will not be comfortable wearing it. Could you bring another one". He showed the dress back to Shams.

Seher was watching them both quietly. She knew her brother was controlling his anger and the look on Shazain's face gave a clear indication that he was deliberately irking him.

After a few minutes, Shams came back with another one, but again Shazain rejected its color. He made Shams do a few rounds and stopped only when Seher politely asked him.

" Sultan, please stop. I know you are teasing him."

Finally, he said to Shams " This one is fine. My wife also likes this. One more thing, Shams, please make sure my food is spicy. I am not used to bland food in the area. If you have a problem, then I can ask my cooks "

" No need. I will inform chefs about this in the kitchen to prepare food to your liking", Shamsuddin replied. He was feeling sorry for his sister and was also angry at her foolishness at the same time.

" I will send maids to help with your bath " Shamsuddin replied.

Seher opened her mouth in surprise because their mother never allowed female servants near their brothers.

"Seher, he is a sultan, and in his palace maids do these chores" he explained to his sister.

Shahzain stopped him." No need for a maid, I can manage."

When Shams left, Shazain turned towards Seher." Why were you surprised?" he came close to her. Seher moved back in fear.

" It is just that at my house everyone does their own stuff. Mother does not allow non-related females "

" Then who will look after your father?"

"Wives do all the work of husbands" she replied, all the while her eyes were on the ground.

" What a wonderful suggestion, so that means you will do all my work," he asked her.

" Yes," she replied.

He lifted her head, holding her chin." I will remove all non-related female servants serving me, so, starting from now, you are my personal maid and will do all my work. Come help me with my bath", he commanded.

Seher was stunned to see his demeanor. She never saw any male in that state.

Shahzain started removing his clothes. Seher quickly closed her eyes tightly. Her heart was beating fast. She could hear it clearly. Shahzain saw the flushed face and closed eyes of his little wife.

"Today is the first day I will spare you. Go take your bath first and remember never to close your eyes again. I hate all this acting of modesty. If you think you can lure me with these cheap tactics, then you are mistaken. Go quickly get ready". Seher was taken back by his harsh words.

" You also get ready, I will get ready in a different room." without giving him time to reply, she quickly left the room and went to a different area to get ready.

She took her bath and looked at her waist. There was a blueish/purple bruise on her waist where Shazain held her. She ignored it and started getting ready when her sister Ayath came in. Even though Ayat was younger than her, she was more mature and bold than Seher.

"Seher, I know you are not happy, but at least tell me what was the real reason for accepting this sham of a marriage."

"I accepted, with my will, Ayat."

"Don't lie, Seher, I know about Shazain's back story. Why do you think he will love you? No, never. Stop the nonsense and tell me the exact reason. I promise it will be between just me and you."

Seher told her about all the events.

"Seher You are stupid, I will kill that......with my hands"

"Stop abusing Ayat, he is my husband now and he is older than all of us. Give him respect and he is not that bad. I think he's just moody."

"Moody my foot, Seher he is a Psycho. Seher, did he do stuff with you?"

"what stuff?"

"Idiot. That husband-wife stuff" Ayat pouted her lips in a funny way.

"Ayat, stop that nonsense " Seher was blushing.

"No, he did not do anything."

"Really I cannot believe it, he was looking at you like a sex-starved Physco in the morning. I saw how he was possessively holding you by wrapping his arm around your waist"

Seher smiled. She was blushing at Ayat's words.

"He kissed you?" Ayat teased.

"Ayat, do you think he has a Harem like other kings?"

"No, Baba was telling mom that he was not into women, but polygamy runs in their family"

Seher was downhearted listening to this, Ayat quickly cheered Seher.

"You are his first wife, idiot, and I am sure he will deeply fall in love with you and will never look at another woman. You don't know you are so beautiful. Listen carefully. Don't give in easily. Tease him a lot before he comes near you"

Seher knew one thing all Ayat was telling was a fantasy. Shazain just married her for Revenge and will never fall in love with her"

She gave a quick hug to Ayat. " I will go, he must be waiting."

Seher walked back towards the room.

"What took you so long, Wife?" Shahzain, who had just come out of the bath with a towel wrapped around his waist, questioned her.

Seher was dumbfounded, looking at the man in front of her who was her husband. She never ever saw any opposite species in this way. Water was dripping from his Teutonic- gold hair. His spartan shoulders spoke of his strength. Handsome was just an understatement. He was walking like a hungry predator toward Seher. His molten brown eyes were filled with passion.

"I know I am handsome and I am all yours, but still, Seher, have some patience, you can eat me later", he replied, coming very closer to her.

Seher quickly lowered her gaze. She was deeply embarrassed. Suddenly, Shazain threw his wet towel on her face.

"Dry my hair dear wife", Seher was reluctant.

"What! Did you forget your duty towards your husband"? He pulled her closer and took her to bed.

He was sitting on the bed and Seher, with trembling hands, dried his hair as quickly as possible. The closeness between them was bothering her. Suddenly, Shahzain wrapped his arms around her and buried his head in her bosom. Seher's heart was about to explode. Shahzain pulled her into his lap and started nipping her neck. Seher did not anticipate this sudden assault and her breath was stuck in her lungs.

"Relax and breathe" he whispered near her ear. She could feel his breath on her neck. She felt something.......

Just then there was a knock on the door. Shamsuddin asked permission to enter. Seher quickly pushed her husband and stood up like a terrified lamb.
