Nigel's Pov

It's the first day of school and I wanted to mess with Jake a bit. I was able to get a certain flower he would recognize. Let's say him and friends we'll be shocked. I smile as I made it to school. I walk down the halls towards Jake's locker to wait for him. About five minutes later they arrive. Once they saw me it was like a glare from the sun. I just ignore them while walking straight to Jake pulling out the flower. Jake gasp as he gently takes it from me asking "Where did you get a Chinese Lotus flower? It's beautiful". I just reply with "I have my ways Long. I thought you would like a small reminder of home so keep it". He quickly puts the flower in his hair making him look adorable. I walk away before the other two could say a word.

Trixie's Pov

We watch Nigel walk away. I turn to Jake who is now in his locker. "Why did you accept it? It could be cursed?!"I ask trying to grab it from his hair. He swiftly grasps my hand, glares at me while saying "You always told me give him a chance. I'm doing so now. He hasn't done anything of suspicion yet so I'll trust him. It's really hard to gain my trust but easy to lose it". He then let's me go, closes his locker and walks away. 'That flower has a spell! Jake would never do that'I think as I look at Spud who gives me a sad look.

Jake's Pov

As I walk to my first period I hear whispers. "Jake looks cute with the flower" "I saw Nigel give it to him" "Trixie tried to take it but ended up getting scolded by him" "You think the two are dating?" I just ignore them and head off to class. Once I make it I sat down and waited.

'Time skip'

It's lunch and I still have the flower in my hair. Trixie seems to be glaring at it while Spud looks worried. "It doesn't have a spell Trixie. If it did wouldn't I'd be with Nigel right now?"I said after taking a bite of my apple. "Why would he suddenly give you a flower?! A Chinese one none the less?"she replies increasing her glare. I just roll my eyes finishing my apple. I see Nigel approaching us with a tray in his hands. When he makes it Trixie looks ready to stab him with her fork, Spud looks even more worried and I'm just waiting for this to play out. "Hey Jake. I was wondering if I could sit here?"He ask ignoring Trixie's murderous looks. I nod my head and slide closer to Spud on my left so he can sit next to me. "Thanks. Hello Spud" Spud just waves as Trixie begins to stab her meal. I begin to talk with him about many things and try to get Spud in on it as well. He does start to feel more comfortable with Nigel here but Trixie is just down right mad. "Why are you here? What changed or do you want to control us too?" she asked after ten minutes of our conversation. I give her a 'Don't do it' look, but she still continues assaulting Nigel with accusations. Even Spud feels bad for him at this point cause she got up to the area we're I'm being used as a slave for his selfish desires. I get up, grab both Spud's and Nigel's forearms as I leave the cafeteria with Trixie looking bewildered. We make it down a few hallways before I let them go. "Sorry about her dude. She's overprotective" Spud apologizes with a weak smile. Nigel shakes his head. "It's fine. I just want to make a truce if possible?" "We already have one witchy"I say flicking his forehead. He rubs the spot I flicked while glaring at me. Spud looks between us then gives a knowing look. "Oh no it's like Rose all over again but this time Nigel is playing Jake"

Nigel's Pov

After Spud's little statement Jake went all shades of red and chased after him. I was laughing too hard that Jake came after me next. Spud and I escaped him for a little until we were tackled by a red Jake. We laugh even more as he yelled at us. We finally stopped when the bell rang. We said our goodbyes and headed off to class.

'Another time skip'

School finished a few hours ago and I'm practicing my magic. The forest I'm in is a beautiful sight.

I then hear footsteps and voices. I turn to see Jack and his sister Haley. "Oh? Hey Nigel! Why are you here?"he ask as they walk up to me. "Practicing my magic"I answer. I feel a tug on my sleeve. I look to see Haley pulling on it. "Yes?" "Can you show us what you can do? We can show what we can do after" I nod with a small smile. I make roses grow from the ground, change their clothes to something more elegant and create flower crowns for them.

Jake's

They applaud me when I was done. Now it's their turn. They transform and do a dance as they breath fire in the right moments to create beautiful designs. It was lovely at the ending when they were half transformed and doing modern dancing. I join in with them. We continue to have fun until the sun went down. "We have to go. Well you be here tomorrow"Haley ask. I nod my head as I petting her's. She giggles and starts to skip down the trail. Jake comes up to me giving me a hug. "Haley rarely likes people. Your good with kids even though she's 13. See ya tomorrow" I watch him chase after Haley before I go home.

Trixie's Pov

I'm on the phone with Jake trying to reason with him. "Jake listen Nigel is using you!" "If he was then why in Shén's name is he trying this now after two years a toxic rivalry?!" "I don't know! You'll see what he's doing to you and when you do, don't come crying to me!" "I won't because I know I'm right!" *click* I let out a large sigh when Jake hangs up. "Why can't he see that Nigel is manipulating him! I'm trying to be a good friend. Wait.... Nigel must have him under a spell" I begin to think of way to break it. Oh I know who can help. If he won't listen to me I know who he'll listen to. I dial the number.

Author's POV

Spud, Jake and Nigel are having lunch outside. They were just joking around till two females round the corner. "Jake!" A familiar voice cries out. Before Jake could even turn around he was tackled. He looks up to see a blonde girl with light blue eyes. "Rose?!" Nigel was confused and angry. Spud looked back at the other girl who happened to be Trixie that has a large smirk on her face. "Oh hey. I didn't know you were back! Could you maybe... get off me please"Jack says looking at a pissed off Nigel. Rose gets up thinking 'Before he would've been excited that I was on him but now he didn't even blush and he keeps looking at Nigel. Trixie was right he is under a spell!' The minute Rose was off him he sits next to Nigel quickly. She sits next to him trying to figure out what spell he's under. "So when did you and Nigel start getting along?" Rose ask. "Oh he called truce the day before school so I decided why not. Yesterday he gave me a flower and played with Haley after school when we accidentally bumped into each other" he responds moving closer to Nigel. She nods with a sweet 'fake' smile. "Oh cool. Now that I'm back want to go on a date?" "Sorry.... no. Nigel and I are going to hangout with Haley since we promised her yesterday to do so" Rose stared shocked that he would turn down a date with his crush for that playboy wizard. She tried to keep her composure as the bell rings. They head back to class.

'3rd Time skip'

Rose follows Nigel to see if he going to do anything to Jake. "There you are!" She hears Jake yell out as he grabs Nigel's forearm dragging him away. Rose discreetly follows them from a safe distance not to get caught. After a few minutes they come to a forest in the magic community. "There you guys are! I was worried something happened"Haley says running up her brother and the wizard. Rose was livid. It took her a memory potion and her to betray her clan's trust for Haley to even talk to her but all it's for Nigel is Jack's ok! That didn't work for her! Now she knows Nigel put both Spud, Jake and even Haley under his spell. About a few hours of them playing around, practicing magic and Rose glaring at the back of Nigel's head it was finally sunset. "That was fun! Hey Jake can we fly Nigel home?"Haley ask jumping up and down. "Yea it's best to do that. So Nigel hop on"Jake replies transforming on all fours. When Nigel hopped on they took off full speed. Once they were out of hearing distance for both human and dragon, Rose came out swearing like a sailor at Nigel. "I have to tell Trixie this may need Jake's family for this" And with that she headed home.
