《In The Eye of Her Storm // Klaus Mikaelson》Forty-Four

I'm left alone for all of the evilness in the world to peck at.
A ticking time bomb ready to implode. Irritable and harsh.
I was desperate for a fight right about now. I wanted answers, revenge, blood but i have a whole different problem to tend to before that.
I'm hunting today.
Actually using my instinct for an advantage instead of relying on my teeth.
I needed a fresh wolf.
And i had found one. She was roughly 19 years old, tempered to the world and well grounded. The type of she wolf who could take her own and rip out a heart. She'd been spotted in Mystic Fall's by a few of my eyes and ears.
Causing a blazing trail of terror behind her.
That fire happened to be catching up. She would become desperate to escape it. I needed desperate.
Like as of now, where she was being ambushed by none other then Katerina's vampires.
I rush in, ripping a heart out silently as i slip behind a car.
Hayley, the young girl i had come to find shouts out in a huff as she is attacked. I quickly round the van they are between. Throwing a spear like black wisp of smoke between his eyes. He stumbles back from the girl as i compose myself.
"Oh dear what sort of trouble are you in?" I muse as if i didn't know.
"Big. Very big trouble." She admits nodding.
"You know, us wolves stick together?" I smile lowly at her as she agrees lightly.
"You really did some freaky stuff there but like thanks anyway." I chuckle at her, although my laughter was entirely faked. I hadn't felt anything accept dullness for the majority of days since...

It felt like forever.
"It's okay. Killing happens to be a hobby of mine." She surprisingly returns the laughter.
"I feel like i know you from some where." Unless that creepy kid Tyler had pictures of me i doubted it.
"Ever been to hell?" I ask seriously hoping to make her uncomfortable.
She once again laughs.
"I like to think i already live there." Her joke slips out easily as i prowl closer.
"Well then, the world must have not been kind to you." Hayley shrugs as i lean against a car.
"I'd say my life is just about as hard as everyone else's. We all have our problems." I nod liking the fact she was attuned to the world around her and not just her own.
"Perhaps i can offer you a drink? I could use someone to talk to and i can gift you a listening ear in return." She looks around, contemplating if she had anything better to do. She didn't and i knew that.
"Why not?"
We are in some hotel that Able had rented a suit in. He's sat lazily in his room, reading over books of lore i had given him about our family.
Hayley catches sight of him as she enters.
"Hi." She speaks softly as he spots her.
"Oh, hello. I'm Able." She nods back to him.
"Hayley Marshal, nice to meet you." He smirks at her name, casting me a look. I roll my eyes pouring the wolf a drink.
She accepts it kindly.
"So, why were vampires gunning for your throat?" I ask as i slink back in a cool comfy chair. She sighs lowly.
"Got myself into trouble trying to find answers. Messed around with the wrong people." I hum lowly at her.

"And these people? Did i kill the last of them or will they come again?" As if i didn't already know the answer again. I didn't want to scare her, i wanted to seem comforting and i could be with enough will power.
"It depends." I raise an eyebrow.
"On?"
"If any other vampires were there when you killed the rest. If the person hunting me knows who you are and is afraid of you. If your Eris Ashire, the woman Tyler told me about." I shake my head lowly with a laugh. Enjoying the fact that the wolf had more to her then i had once perceived.
"So the gimmicks up then?" I muse softly before letting my friendly smile simmer to the grin she had forced me to wear.
"Why did you help me?" She questions as i stare out the window. Contemplating how i should approach her, harshly with threats to force her to do what i want or a healthy compromise, where we would both benefit.
"I aided you because your in a hard place. One you may need help out of. I'm here to offer a hand. For a hand in return." I shrug lightly. I notice her hesitancy and i wonder what rumour of me had swayed her view. Making her cautious of me.
"What sort of power or help could i give to you?" She questions in disbelief.
"You are the Luna of Wolves, your a horsemen of the literal Apocalypse and where you can't rip hearts out your blood thirsty soulmate is there ready to do it for you." She speaks forcing me to snap harshly at her for even the mention.
"Don't speak of him ever in my presence do you understand?" I'm fiery with red hot rage and grief, i pull in air forcing the bite on my tongue away.
"I'm not here to scare you Hayley, i can make your life easy, make all your impossible dreams possible. There is just something i need for you to look after." She looks to me slowly as i calm myself.
"What is it?"
"A big ask. I'm pregnant, haven't really allowed myself to think about it. When i do im stuck with the reality that im the last person who should have a child alone. I can offer you protection Hayley. Money and luxury, ill have people take you where you want to go, fund any whim your heart desires. But i need you to take this baby with you and give it the life i can not." She is stricken to silence at my words.
"They shouldn't have to suffer because of their mother. So i'll sever ties. I'll know if you or the baby are in any danger, i'll have charms and wards placed. But you should never tell them that you are not their mother." I realise how heavy the situation is when Hayley fails to respond.
"Does anyone know?" She finally whispers.
"Only Able." I tell her as she nods.
"How is this going to work? Will i stay in touch with you until you have it? Or will it just show up on my doorstep?" She asks making me laugh lowly. Finally a sense of amusement in the tension.
"No, i'll have a witch transfer them to your womb, so the likelihood of anyone finding out is practically nothing."
"Then alright."

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
