Backstory: Luisa was born in Italy, and grew up with her mother & nonno until her mother died searching for the Athena Parthenon when she was a toddler. As a child of the big three during the pact she shouldn't have been born, & her grandmother athena (albeit begrudgingly) granted her protection & kept her hidden. Her nonno (grandfather) was very loving & provided her with a very happy home life, though Luisa found it very difficult to make friends throughout her childhood due to her 'cold' personality- children were off put by her due to this 'coldness'.

This caused trust & self esteem issues as her only friend was her nonno, & her "grandmother" who visited once a year. When she was 11 they moved to America- though unknown to her her nonno & mom had lived in America before she was born, with her mother even attending camp half blood.

Her nonno died when she was 14, and her "grandmother" & mysterious "aunt" who had visited her for the first time on her 14th birthday were nowhere to be found, leaving her to the foster care system. she had a traumatic experience in her foster home that led to her nearly freezing her foster mother to death defending her foster sister- both unearthing her powers after year of suppression & getting her sent to wilderness boarding school.

extra: she inherited her fathers cyrokinetic abilities as well as his control over black hellfire- though that she will not discover until later, she has very limited power over necromancy & shadow travel compared to her siblings.her mother inherited athena's abilities with the mist, something that was passed onto luisa- she can't manipulate it but is able to see through it, making her somewhat of a human monster detector. she is fluent in italian.

she's not very strong physically, & tries to rely on her abilities- though she learns pretty fast that won't work, first because it is draining & puts them all at risk when she is weak in a battle & freezing people isn't exactly always reliable, then once she even discovers hellfire it is so dangerous she has no idea how to manipulate it.

this further isolates her & is something she has to deal with plus the fact that they're not abilities synonymous with those of her siblings, though they're not necessarily "rare"- with only 3 kids none of them are going to inherit EVERYTHING from hades & certainly not the same abilities. her situation with Athena is a whole other thing- she's very resentful when she finds out because she feels as though athena basically abandoned her when her nonno died, & was the reason for her mother's death.
