Billie pulls me to a corner a little more secluded and holds my left hand with her right.

"I love the ring." "I know, you told me the whole night!" "Yeah, but it's matching yours,"

A huge smile plastered on my face as she says those words.

"But the note in the box," "I don't get it, it's not a song I heard, and it can't possibly not be a song."

Billie eyes me down with confusion as I don't say anything.

I laugh as I explain the note to her.

"It's a poem thing. Its cheesy so I thought you wouldn't really care for it as much as you seem to right now."

Billie smiles as I take my sweaty hand away from hers and put it behind my neck.

"It's getting late. You have my number, text me sometime and we can hang soon." Bil says anxiously. Her face dropping when I don't respond right away. But she quickly reassured me by saying, "like as in i'll invite like two friends and you can hang too."

I smile and shake my head yes to the sweet offer. "Okay! Just text me and i'll set something up!"
