Professor David: Hehe, yup. That's me. Glad to hear that you're friends of my daughter.
[Y/N]: D-D-Daughter? Y-you m-mean M-M-Melissa?
Melissa: Yup! Professor David Shield is my papa!
Before I could say anything else, I fainted due to being overly excited and incredibly shocked.
I woke up in a room which I'm not recognized with as I heard a door opening.
Melissa: Ah, you're awake.
[Y/N]: Where am I?
Melissa: You're still at my papa's lab. You fainted so we brang you here.
[Y/N]: I fainted why?
Professor David: I don't know. You tell me.
My mind exploded once I saw David Shield as I tried to contain my excitement. I then stood up and held out my hand with full nervousness.
[Y/N]: I'm [Y/N][L/N]! It's a pleasure meeting you, sir!
Professor David: Hehe, It's a pleasure meeting you as well, [Y/N]. Melissa talked about you when you were out.
[Y/N]: M-Melissa!
Melissa: Sorry, I can't help it.
Professor David then placed his hand over mine as I looked at him. He then gave me a warm smile as I just tried to contain my excitement.
Professor David: Thank you for becoming my daughter's friend. I already see a bright future for the two of you.
I blushed heavily once Professor David said that as my face was as red as a fucking tomato.
[Y/N]: I-it's not like that, Professor David! W-we're just friends!
Professor David: Not "just friends". "Still friends".
I nearly passed out again since Professor David was teasing me as Melissa just giggles.
Melissa: I think you're teasing him too much, papa.
Professor David: Hehe, Sorry. I hope I didn't go too far.
I then moved in lightning speed and grabbed my backpack and took out my notebook.
[Y/N]: Professor David, I am a big fan of yours and will you please sign my notebook?
I held out my notebook towards him as he grabs a pen and signs my notebook which put stars in my eyes.
[Y/N]: David Shield signed my notebook.
Professor David: Hehe, you're from I-Island Academy, right?
[Y/N]: Y-yes, professor.
Professor David: Well, keep up the good work. That device you made was really amazing.
[Y/N]: Y-you know?
Dave: Yeah, you're computer told me.
[Y/N]: Amy?
Dave: Oh? You gave it a name.
[Y/N]: It'd feel rude of me to call someone a thing.
As my conversation with Professor David keeps going on. Melissa was just staring between us and had a big smile on her face.

Melissa: You two really have alot of things in common.
Professor David: Oh? And what that might be?
Melissa: Well, you're both smart, tall, funny and handsome.
[Y/N]: I don't think I can call myself smar- wait, what was the last one?
Melissa: You two get along with each other really well! It makes me think of papa and Uncle Might!
[Y/N]: Uncle Might? Wait, All Might? He has a niece?
Professor David: Hehe, no no. All Might and I are just really close friends. We just haven't seen each other in a while.
[Y/N]: I know almost everything about you and All Might! You two fought crime together and even if you were just a scientist, you showed the world that anyone can be a hero!
Professor David: Hehe, I like you already.
《~》
After meeting Professor David, Melissa and I made our way back to our labs. I then rubbed the back of my head as I was containing my blush.
[Y/N]: S-so um... What you said about me and your dad having things in common...
Melissa: Hm? What about it?
[Y/N]: W-what was the last part?
Melissa: Oh. I said you two were handsome!
[Y/N]: HOW CAN SHE SAY THAT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!
Melissa: Well, I do think you're kinda attractive... When I first saw you, I almost didn't recognize who you were.
[Y/N]: How can you? My mom sent you pictures of me.
Melissa: That was when you were eating. Fun fact: people don't look good when they're eating.
[Y/N]: Is that just a different way of calling me ugly?
Melissa: no wait! That's not what I meant!
[Y/N]: Heh, I know. I think I understand now why Professor David teased me. It's kinda fun.
Melissa pouts at me as I just let out a chuckle. As we got to I-Island Academy, we looked at each other before going into our labs.
[Y/N]: I'll see you after?
Melissa: Sure.
I smiled as I got into my lab and heard a robotic chuckle immediately.
[Y/N]: Tease me all you want, Amy. You really are an interesting computer.
Amy: I was just thinking you and Melissa Shield are a cute couple.
[Y/N]: It won't work on me this time. Also, how can you think you're a computer.
Amy: Well, now you're just being rude.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled as I sat down on my chair. I then took a look in my laptop before working on a new device.

[Y/N]: What should we do next, Amy?
Amy: Confess your feelings towards Melissa Sh-
[Y/N]: I meant what device we should do.
Amy: *robotic sigh* I have suggestions for boots you can use to fly.
[Y/N]: Hm. Hovering boots. That's actually a good one. Let's work on that, shall we?
I instantly went to work as I went out for some materials as I started building my very first hovering device.
Amy: You could always try making them repel from the magnetic force of the earth.
[Y/N]: Hm. Smart but we wanna have it fly, right? It would just let us levitate if we do magnetic force.
And so we worked and worked until my phone started ringing. I picked it up and saw that it was an unknown number as I answered.
[Y/N]: Hello?
Professor David: Hey there, buddy!
[Y/N]: P-PROFESSOR!?
Professor David: Call me Dave.
[Y/N]: H-how'd you get this number- oh right, Melissa.
Professor David: Yup, I just wanted to let you know that we're holding up a competition for I-Island Academy. It's a partnership competition and you and Melissa might make a great team.
[Y/N]: Y-you want me to partner up with your daughter?
Professor David: Yeah! Don't you think you'll partner up with her even if I don't tell you?
[Y/N]: Right. Um, yeah... I'll definitely do it. Thanks for telling me.
Professor David: You're welcome. I'll see you later.
[Y/N]: See you..
I hung up the phone as I instantly made a contact for Professor David. I smiled cheerfully as I put the phone down until I hear a robotic laugh.
[Y/N]: Amy, I swear to god.
Amy: What are you gonna do about it?
[Y/N]: I'm gonna rip your software off my lab. So you better not tease me for this.
《~》
I was almost done with the wiring on the hoverboots as I stick my tongue out as to try and focus.
Amy: Careful.... Careful....
[Y/N]: You're making it more tense, Amy.
Amy: Sorry.
I connected the wires as I braced for impact and ducked under the table but nothing happened.
[Y/N]: Huh? I guess it worked.
Just then a knock was heard through the door as I opened it which revealed Melissa.
Melissa: Hey, [Y/N]! Ready to go?
[Y/N]: Oh! Right! Sorry, got caught up in work. I need to find my room anyway so at least you could help.
I-Island Academy consisted rooms for the students. What I mean by rooms is that we're going to have a roommate. I was unsure of my roommate but Melissa won't tell me.
[Y/N]: Why won't you just tell me who my roommate is??
Melissa: Then it won't be a surprise! Don't you think it's more fun that way?
[Y/N]: Ugh. Fine.
We kept searching for my room until we eventually found it. I took out the keys that was given to me as I opened the door.
[Y/N]: Huh. It's empty. Looks like my roommate is really here yet. The surprise will just have to wait.
I turned around and see Melissa in the room with me as I tilted my head as to question her why she's in the room with me.
[Y/N]: Wait....
Melissa: Surprise! I'm your roommate!
[Y/N]: I'M GONNA LIVE WITH SOMEONE BEAUTIFUL!? Ahem. Cool.
Melissa: Eh? You're not surprised?
[Y/N]: Well, I am but I lowkey expected it because you didn't want to tell me.
Melissa: Aww....
She sat down on a chair and pouts as I just chuckled and pat her head.
[Y/N]: Don't worry. I'm still happy to share a room with you.
Melissa smiles as she hugs me which I blushed at but hugged her back. We stayed like that for a moment until a knock was heard on the door.
Professor David: Hey, you two.
[Y/N]: Professor David! What brings you here?
Professor David: Well, I'm here to inform you two that the competition is being held up tomorrow. We want you guys to know this before the big day.
[Y/N]: I've only been here for a day and everything is already crazy.
Melissa: But papa, it's only been the first day of school.
Professor David: Well, this competition is a test to see if your partnership is okay. The winner of the competitipm gets a trophy that proves your partnership. Don't tell anyone else. Good luck.
Professor David then leaves as Melissa and I looked at each other. I then gave off a smile as I hold out my hand.
[Y/N]: We're gonna do great, am I right?
Melissa: Yeah!
We both high fived before heading to bed and prepare ourselves for the incoming test or you could say competition.
[Y/N]: My first ever science competition. I'm gonna do my best.
