《A Little Intelligence Never Hurt anybody》Chapter 4

Izuku sat with his fellow students while listening to a white animal of unrecognizable origin inform them of the school, all the while noticing that a certain class was absent from the orientation.
He payed no mind, it wasn't his problem, and he was okay with that. 'Are we though..?' Thought a small voice in the back of his mind. 'Of course I am.' He thought to himself. 'We get to make all the inventions we want with Mei, then when we graduate I can finally take David up on his offer to work with him.'
'But we'll never save anyone, we'll never be a Hero.'
'Don't be stupid.' He criticized that line of thought. 'Just by existing we save people, all those support items the heroes use to save lives are made by us! We are the heroes' hero....'
"One week in, and you're already here for my inventions." Said Izuku as he spun his chair to look at Bakugo, her hero costume was in a suitcase with the number '17' on it.
"It's a nice suit." He continued, looking at the open case. "And the support items are good."
"But yours are better."
Izuku smirked. "How bold Kacchan~, complementing my work like that." He teased. "If you keep saying such things, I might just fall for you."
"S-shut up, Dekiru!" The explosive girl yelled, red faced and defensive. Izuku laughed. "Aahh, you're too hilarious Kacchan! It's kinda cute actually." He sighed blissfully and wiped a tear from his eye.
"Well can you do it or not!?"
"I course I can, I'll need your papers for the original costume and some ideas on what you want for the next upgrade." She nodded and handed him the papers.
"Gauntlets to store up your sweat and release it in a huge explosion? Interesting, but destructive." He said, looking at the grude drawings and info filled descriptions. "I can definitely make something similar to this, but materials for it would be kinda expensive.." He mumbled that last part, making sure she didn't hear. "Will you mind if the grenade part is altered?"
"Not really.."
"And when will you need these again?" He asked, putting on some half-moon spectacles, reading the words a little more thoroughly.
"Next week."
"Perfect!" Izuku replied, spinning in his chair before grabbing a red canister and handing it to Bakugo. "Oh, and bring this to Recovery Girl, will you? I'll make the gauntlets in record time as thanks."
"Sure, whatever.." She said, taking the canister and noticing that it was heavier than it looks, started examining it. The side had the words 'RED ROSE' engraved in cursive blue. "What is this anyway?"
"Just a little something to help an old nurse." He explained with a dismissive wave of his hand. "I just need you to give it to the poor lady, maybe she'll finally get some rest with it." Izuku urged while mumbling that last bit to himself.

"So what do you think?"
"I'm be completely honest, I have no idea what the hell I'm looking at..." Bakugo replied looking at a pair of cubes, one dark green and the other a warm orange. "Well what else could it be? These are your support items!"
"......Are you sure..?"
"Of course I am!" Spoke izuku. "Here I'll show you." He walked up to the two cubes and picked them up, then stood in front of Bakugo and gestured for her hand. Hesitantly, Bakugo reached out with one hand and Izuku when indicated he wanted both her hands she begrudgingly offered her other one, once she offered both her hands Izuku dropped the orange cube in her palms. "....now what-"
"Give it a minute."
Immediately after saying that, the cube broke down and a elastic substance moved up her arms, freaking out Bakugo looked to Izuku for help, said boy simply put up his hand for silence. Once the cube finished, Bakugo found herself with jet-black arms ending at the prominent metal orange lines on her biceps. "What the hell..."
"Now for the next one."
"Wait, wai-" He tossed the dark green cube at her lower torso, watching as the cube broke down and attached itself to her hips all the way up to the upper torso, pushing up her breast slightly. Once it was finished the cube looked more like a metal corset with multiple segments allowing her mobility. "Annnnnd done!"
"Wha... what the hell is this!?!?" The ash blonde shouted with a red face. "Like I said, it's your support item... oh wait, don't tell me, you're embarrassed everyone can see how slim your waist is aren't you?"
"S-shut up!!"
"Right on the money." He chuckled before quickly ducking under a fast right hook from the explosively bashful girl. "Alright, alright I'm done.... for now."
"Just tell me what you did to my stuff!!" She yelled. "Oh that's right, well I've noticed from the battle training tape I got (stole) from your teacher that you only use your explosive sweat from you hands. With this you'll be able to use your sweat through the entire arm."
He pulled up a projector with multiple chibi drawings showing Bakugo punching a silhouette normally then showing Bakugo with the support item, an explosion shot out of her elbow and like a piston she punched the silhouette with a noticeable speed difference. "Did... did you draw these yourself..?"
"Not important."
"I feel like it is-" She started. "Look, the important part is that it works. Now, onto the next one."
The projector showed chibi Bakugo with the metal corset, the crevices indicating the corset's segments glowed an orange hue, much like how her old gauntlets did when they were ready, and chibi Bakugo placed her hands on her waist. The metal corset then moved to her hands and became the new gauntlets. "I modeled your new gauntlets after this frictional villain from a game of the pre-quirked Era, he used sound waves but I think this is a good substitution."

Chibi Bakugo was shown shooting multiple small condensed shots with her right arm then holding out the left arm, she braced herself and shot a huge blast similar to the one she shot back at the battle training exercise.
"I've made them work similar to your old ones and even made a few new features!" He explained, quite proud of himself.
"Firstly, you'll be able to shoot both highly condensed small mini gun style shots, and strong unrefined shotgun style blasts. Careful though, the shotgun blast can only be used once before needing to recharge."
"So.... what do ya' think?" He asked glancing towards Bakugo, said girl was still staring at the drawing on the projector. "What do I think.... what do I think..? I think it's badass!!" She shouted grabbing him by his collar and shaking him aggressively. "G-good to hear.."
Getting a handle on himself, he asked something that was at the back of his mind. "Say, you said you needed these by the end of the week, why is that?"
"Bah," Bakugo scoffed, releasing him from her grip and dusting off his shoulder to remove some grime on his shirt. "Just some stupid rescue training at the USJ."
"...Universal Studio Japan??"
"Hell if I know." Said the explosive blonde, scratching at the nape of her neck. "Hey, how do I get these off?" She asked gesturing to herself.
"Just grab the orange pieces and twist." Doing so caused orange parts to clamp off and the rest of it followed, once the jet-black substance left her arms both parts attached to each other and closed back into the orange cube. "That's kinda freaky.."
"Mmm... the other one is taken off by putting one hand on your stomach for 10 seconds, by the way."
"Why that specifically?" Bakugo asked as the metal corset shifted back into a cube. "I wanted it to be something as unnatural as possible, that way you don't just deactivate it on accident."
"Makes sense..." She gave him the cube and he put it in her case. "By the way, your hero suit has also been altered slightly to fit your new support gear." Izuku informed and handed her the suitcase.

"Hey hotshot." Whispered Hatsume over the lecturing of the teacher. "Yes Hatsume?"
"Word around the work shop says you made something fancy for a hero student."
"So what if i did?" Asked the raven haired boy. "Well... what was it??"
"Just some gauntlets to help her explosion quirk, I hope she enjoys them..."
"DIEEEE!" Roared out Bakugo as she knocked the daylights out of a villain using her new support item to deliver a devastating right hook to their jaw.
"Wow Bakugo, you're on a roll with your new gear!" Spoke a red haired teen, hardening his arms slightly. "Where'd you get it?"
"Dekiru made them for me!" Yelled the girl as she punched another villain in the face. The red haired boy had no idea who this 'Dekiru' guy is, but the teen replied with what he thought about the mysterious investor.
"Manly!"
"Is this seat taken?"
Izuku looked up to see a lavender haired boy who seemed to have a case of insomnia. "No, you're fine."
"Thanks." Said the boy, setting his tray down and taking a seat himself. "Ramen?"
"Hmm?" The insomniac looked up to see Izuku looking at him in curiously. "We've got a pro hero who's whole thing is cooking and you asked for ramen?"
"What can I say," the lavender boy started, a smirk playing at his face. "I'm a simple man with simple taste."
The boys shared a lighthearted chuckle, Izuku offered a hand. "My name is Yagi Izuku, but I'd prefer it if you called me Koga Izuku." The other nodded, not bothering to question his choice in name change. "Shinso Hitoshi." Said the insomniac, offering his own hand and giving a firm handshake.
"So Shinso, what course do you attend?"
"General studies, but I'm aiming for the hero course in the Sports Festival. What about you?" Shinso answered quickly slurping up his ramen. "I'm apart of the support course, I plan on working with David Shield one day."
"Hey," started the boy. "When you make it big, will you make me some support gear?"
"I don't know," he smiled at the mock indignant look on Shinso's face. "I'll think about it."
"Well I never-" Shinso never finished his sentence as both boys were laughing too hard.
Bakugo was shown standing on top the shoulders of a large black creature with a beak for a mouth and an exposed brain, her gauntlets ready and pressed together.
"AAAAAAAAAAAH"
Suddenly she shot both her shotgun style blasts at once, completely obliterating the creature and sending her flying upwards.
"How..... you.. you cheated!" Screeched a man with pale periwinkle hair and multiple dismembered hands covering his body.
"That's all for today, you are dismissed." Power Loader called out and many of the students started putting books into their respective bag.
"And don't forget!" The teacher spoke up, catching the attention of the class. "The Sports Festival is in three weeks, I wanna see your very best out there!"
"Yes sir!"

Oublivants: a category of dungeons characterised by the antithesis of life, necrosis. "Dungons as a whole tend towards the lethal side when it comes to exploring them; however, an oublivant actively seeks out destruction on a grand scale. It continuously expanded along the surface, so fast you could see it, and left nothing but a scorched, withered wasteland in its wake. Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown.
