《Please Stay[Stray Kids × Reader]》[Chapter 14] Memorable

Today was a holiday. A rest day from work and school. I stared at the ceiling, my body didn't want to move. It was currently 7 AM and it was a quiet morning. In the midst of the silence, my stomach grumbled loudly.

"But I ate so much last night" I sighed. My stomach grumbled again but this time it was louder.

"Fiiineeeee" I dragged myself out of my bed and to the kitchen. They weren't awake yet so I tried to be as quiet as possible. When I opened the fridge, there was nothing but the leftovers from last night and bottles of water.

"Who's up?" A voice came from behind. It was Hyunjin. He wore a pink bunny cotton hairband, and black long sleeves. While combing his ginger colored hair with his fingers, he yawned.

"The Duplicate" I replied. I recieved a small laugh as a response.

"Want to go to the grocery shop with me?" I asked him as I closed the fridge, holding the leftover meat.

"Sure but--" his sentence was interrupted by the growling of his stomach.

"Yeah, let's eat first" I got two plates and placed them on the table.

"Why can't we just order delivery food?" He placed his hands in the pockets of his pants.

"Homemade is better" I patted his shoulder then walked inside. We got two baskets, one for each, and walked around. The first part we went to was the fruits section.

I picked up an orange and told Hyunjin, "Orange you having fun?" I smiled, twisting my wrist with the orange in my hand. He shot me a Are you serious? look in return.

He moved his head around as if he were looking for something then finally got a pear that was beside us.

"These fruits make a Pear-fect match don't you think?" He took the orange from my hand and shook both of the fruits in his hands. I sighed with cringe then continued walking.

"Let's get meat Beef-fore we get spices" I got a pack of meat and placed it in the basket I had. He sighed, the placed his palm on his face.

While I looked for salt, I noticed that Hyunjin lagged behind.

"Yo, What's taking you so long?" I called for him. He came running towards me saying, "I'm , I'm cumin!" Holding out a small glass bottle container of cumin powder, he smiled proudly. I just shook my head.

We walked around to get more groceries then payed afterwards. Hyunjin carried three big paperbags while I held a medium sized one.

While on our way home, Hyunjin stopped in front of a shop. His eyes seemed to be glued on to something behind the glass window.

"Something wrong?" I patted his shoulder but his attention didn't move.

"Could you wait for a while?" He placed the paperbags on a nearby bench, below a tree, then walked towards the shop.

I waited for him for about 5 minutes and he came back with a small black gift bag.

"What's that for?" I asked him, standing up from the bench. He smiled brightly before getting the thing inside the bag.

"Stand still" He said, leaning closer with his hands approaching my face.

"Knew it, it looks good" His eyes formed smiles as he held a chain earring with a moon at the end near my ear.

"Earrings?" I asked him.

"Since you probably lost a lot of important things that had memories in it (cause of the fire) , I'm giving you something memorable" He placed the earring back inside the gift bag and gave it to me.

"But how did you see the earring from afar? I mean we were like 3 meters away" I put the small gift bag inside the paperbag I was holding.

"A hat caught my eye but when I entered I thought an earring would be better." He got the bags he placed down earlier and started walking.

"How much was it?" I catched up with him. He avoided eye contact and walked a bit faster. Don't tell me it was expensive...

"How much?" I repeated but he just sighed.

"I'll pay for it" I added. He glanced at me then hesitated to say a word.

"I'm supposed to buy it for you for it to be memorable..." he pouted, not giving me eye contact. That's the reason...?

"Hahaha, dude do you really have to?" I laughed so much at his statement.

"Want it or what?" He frowned even more.

"I'll take it, I'll take it" I answered, still laughing at him.
