《Hogwart's Babysitter》Chapter 30

After the twin's little stunt, the school was starting to look like the Hermes cabin, pranks specifically directed towards Dolores or Filch even went completely unchecked, but, I already had two boys in detention, I didn't want more.
Luckily rumors about Fred and George's grand escape mostly covered rumors about where Harry and Draco went every Saturday.
The only thing that bothered me was how quickly "Umbridge-itis" impacted my classes, but I just reminded the students that if they didn't get the readings first then we couldn't continue with my lessons, so they just started doing it for homework instead.
Peeves was something else though. He didn't seem to like the fact that, amidst this chaos, I was left untouched. I may have dropped a few hints about knowing a particular Ghost Lord that could get over here in a matter of shadows. That calmed him down in my class at least.
At least Harry's dreams seemed to be getting better- they hadn't stopped altogether but he was gaining more and more control of them. I might have also confirmed Harry's suspicions of The Order guarding something in what the dreams were about, so instead of pushing forward, to find out what the Order was hiding, he was pulling back as to not let Voldemort see.
I narrowed my eyes as I saw Hagrid leading the trio through the forest. I had been chilling out in here for the game, but I guessed it was over. The direction they were headed... Hagrid couldn't be that stupid, could he?
"And what do you think you're doing?" I asked stopping Hagrid in his steps
"I -er well I'm -er," Hagrid shifted causing me to take a step closer to him,
"Please tell me you were not going to show them what you brought home with you," I said taking another step and he paled taking a step back,

"Well- I- -er I have ter. I can' leave without' tellin' someone!" he said and I looked straight at him,
"You are not going to introduce these kids to your giant, I don't care if he's your brother,"
"Giant!" Hermione gasped, drawing my attention, "Hagrid you told us that none of them wanted to come!"
"Well- no-," Hagrid said turning toward her, "He didn' want ter come, by I had ter bring him, I had ter!"
Hermione turned to me and I sighed, crossing my arms,
"He would be dead, if I took care of it, giants and I... we don't mix," I admitted glumly, "I just mainly stay out of his way, and Hagrid keeps him tied up,"
"I apricat' it, Percy," Hagrid said and I nodded slightly, spinning Riptide, I didn't like being this close to a giant, I mean sure Damasen was nice and all, but it still set me on edge. I looked at the trio again,
"I'll make sure you're allowed on the grounds Hagrid, but you've got to keep that thing away from any and all people got it?" I asked and Hagrid nodded eagerly and I sighed turning back towards the trio,
"Come along, you can fight it out with Hagrid later Hermione, let's get you back to your house first,"
I turned to leave just as Magorian came up,
"I thought we told you, Hagrid, that you are no longer welcome here?" he asked and I paused,
"How are yeh, Magorian?" Hagrid asked warily I had come across Magorian a few times, expectably when I was trying to convince Firenze to come back to his home but I was confused on why he had told Hagrid that he wasn't allowed in the forest, Bane stepped up too and I hesitated,

"So, we agreed, I think, what we would do if this human showed his face in the forest again?" he asked Magorian and I paused, stepping up a bit,
"'This human' now, am I?" asked Hagrid, "Jus' fer stoppin' all of yer committin' murder?"
I spun riptide again, not wanting any fight to break out between Hagrid and my friends,
"You ought not to have meddled, Hagrid, our ways are not yours, nor are our laws. Firenze is welcome back at any time he chooses," Magorian said, so did Hagrid interrupt a ritual of some sort?
"If yeh say so, but personally I think yeh're makin a big mistak-,"
"As are you, human, coming back into our forest when we warned you-," Bane said and nudged the trio behind me slightly,
"Now, you listen ter me, I'll have less of the 'our' forest if it's all the same ter you. It's not up ter you who comes an' goes in here-,"
"No more is it up to you, Hagrid, I shall let you pass today," Magorian said nodding to me, "Henceforth, stay away from this place. You forfeited the friendship of the centaurs when you interrupted our ways,"
"I won' be kept outta the fores' by a bunch of mules like you!" said Hagrid loudly.
"We know what you are keeping in the forest, Hagrid! And our tolerance is waning!" Magorian warned,
"You'll tolerate him as long as he's here, it's as much his forest as yours," Hagrid said. That was enough I reached forward and grabbed the fist that he had raised, turning towards Magorian and Bane,
"I'm not sure what's going on here and I'm not sure I want to, but I am 'tolerating' him as much as you are, possibly more," I said, and Magorian turned towards me,
"Percy Jackson, you are always welcomed in this forest, but I must ask you to accompany this human and his foals out of this forest," he asked and I hesitated, before nodding and grabbing onto Hagrid's arm,
"Fight later, get kids out of forest first," I said gesturing for the trio to follow, Ron, who had been suspiciously quiet through the whole ordeal squeaked and jogged to my side. I chuckled and ruffled his hair, "You're safe," I said and he looked up at me for a minute before nodding and relaxing slightly.
