After that... incident, occlumency seemed tense, I couldn't help but be a little curious about what was going on. I sighed after one particularly tense meeting, flopping into one of Severus' only soft chairs, and stared up at him,
"What's up with you two?" I finally asked to which Severus sighed and settled himself next to me,
"He... saw one of my memories... I didn't take it well," he admitted and I stood up, looking towards the pensive,
"The one in there?" I asked and he nodded slowly. I looked between him and the pensive before groaning and launching back further into my seat.
"Oh, course he did," I said and Severus chuckled,
"He was quite scared," he bragged and I rolled my eyes,
"Of course, you're a very scary man Severus," I said poking his arm, "Scary, Scary," he growled and batted my hand away,
"Go on then, little Mr. Waterboy needs his sleep," Severus said and I rolled my eyes and curled up in the seat,
"Alright, good night," I said ignoring his complaints there was no way I was leaving him alone after he had re-lived one of his worst memories.
Of course, a little wizard pantsing wouldn't fly with the Slytherins and they got their revenge, but it was hard on Severus because that was the time Lilly had finally started to drift away.
Dolores had requested that I sit in her classes with her 'being so busy as the headmistress' so when she stormed into her Defense Against the Dark Arts afternoon lesson with the fifth years, I hesitated for a moment before shaking my head and slipping into a light sleep.
It was defiantly a unique skill that came from years of being too confused to participate in class while simultaneously watching over my lunch money that I would be lucky if I had by actual lunchtime.
I was startled awake by distinct sounds of people running around in terror. I shot up and looked around, Dolores and I looked at each other for a second before running out of the class.
Then I saw it, Harry was running the opposite way of the commotion, cursing I set off after him instead. I stayed a little ways behind him, watching him turn invisible right before Dolores' office. I sighed and stayed back, waiting for the door to close before standing right in front of the door.
I paused as I heard voices inside- what was he- Oh. Of course, Severus' memory. I groaned a bit and leaned against the door. Of course, he would want to talk to Sirius after that, and by the sound of things, Lupin was there too.

I guess I could understand- after all his Dad, did not look so hot in that memory.
I looked up as I heard footsteps approaching. I quickly knocked on the door once, before ducking behind some armor. Not even a few minutes later Filch came through mumbling moodily about having whipping as detention instead of lines.
Then as quickly as he came, he left and I let out a small breath. Okay then.
I waited a few moments more before slipping into the office, "Alright Harry, say goodbye to Lupin and Sirus," I said,
"Percy?" A voice asked from the fireplace, I chuckled,
"Yeah, it's me, come on now Harry, I've got to at least give you detention for this," I said as Harry pulled off his cloak,
"But Professor-," He started and I shook my head,
"I know, Severus filled me in, just say goodbye and let's write you up," Harry gapped at me before grumbling and sticking his head back in the fire,
"I got to go," he said moodily causing Lupin and Sirus to laugh,
"That's something your father never did learn, how not to get caught," Sirus added
"Wait, now you mention it, how did Snape react when he found you'd seen all this?" Lupin asked and I winced,
"He told me he'd never teach me Occlumency again," Harry said, "but then-
"He WHAT?" Sirius shouted, and Harry cast a quick glance towards me and I shrugged, I wasn't going to stick my head in lit fireplace, I don't care what Leo said about it being 'comfortable'
"Are you serious Harry?" Lupin asked quickly, "He's stopped giving you lessons?"
"Wait no! He's still teaching me, along with Professor Jackson," Harry explained quickly, "I think he just reacted strongly at the moment," Lupin and Sirus gave out a collective sigh before nodding,
"Alright, well get going before you get Percy in trouble too," Lupin said and I grinned,
"Nowhere I haven't been before," I said and Harry bid his final goodbyes, before coming back out of the fire pit. I laughed at him as we made the trip to my office,
"You know Harry, you will be the first detention I've given all year," I said, causing a nearby Draco to trip and look over at us.
"Er- Professor- what are you going to write on the slip?" Harry asked and I shrugged,
"No idea, just spread whatever rumor you see fit," I said slipping into my desk and digging around for a pen and a detention slip.

"So what days are good for you? Saturday evenings? Or right after Occlumency lessons?" I asked still rummaging around.
"Erm Saturday evenings?" he asked and I nodded, handing over the two items,
"There you go, fill that out for me, and then your-," a large shockwave shook my office, cutting me off. I bit back a groan and held up a finger towards Harry quickly slipping out of my office, to find Minerva scolding Draco who was currently holding a smoking wand.
"I got him, Minerva," I sighed, grabbing onto him and pulling him, smirking, inside my office as well, "Gods Draco, what is up with you?" I asked pushing him into the seat next to Harry and handing him the same slip I gave Harry,
"Harry give Draco your pen when you're done, Draco, for the love of Zeus, why did you have to do whatever you did right in front of Minerva!" I exclaimed, but Draco just sat there smirking, arms crossed and eyebrow raised I rolled my eyes, "I'm not doing two separate detentions, you two are just going to have to put up with each other Saturday evenings,"
"Draco what were you even thinking doing that in front of-," I groaned cutting myself off and slamming my head into the table as I complained, "Now I've gotta babysit you two on top of everything I already have to do- you're lucky that I don't hand you over to Severus," I jerked my head up, looking at the two boys in front of me,
"That's it!" I said smiling, "I'll hand you over to Severus!" I said, both paled and shook their heads,
"Professor- y-you could always just cast a monitor charm and leave us in here," Draco offered slyly and after looking at him for a moment I sighed.
"Fine, your detention will be spending time together," I said grumpily, "Monitor each other and for every time someone leaves early, I'll take 10 points off, as well as extend the detention another month." Draco looked over to me with his eyebrow raised,
"Are you saying that you'll be here next year to extend detention that long?" Draco asked and I paused- I hadn't thought about next year, I hadn't thought about it at all. What did I want to do after this? Go back to camp? Or stay here?
"Are you trying to make detention longer than a couple of months?" I asked Draco and he huffed and tossed the pen towards me.
"I'll give this to Professor Snape, Potter, you give yours to McGonagall," Draco said getting up and crossing the
"DON'T tell-," Draco slammed the door on Harry's response, he looked back to me, and I just shrugged,
"Professor- are you going to return next year?" He asked and I spun the pen in my hands, it felt wrong- it was completely the wrong weight.
"I don't know, I'm not one for the whole 'planning ahead'" I said softly, "I just sort of ride in with the tide" Harry looked at me and nodded, standing up as well,
"I hope you stay," he finally said before standing up and following Draco out, I smiled and nodded at him. I groaned and throwing the useless pen across the room, it hit the wall, the sound clicking across the now-empty office
What did I want to do?
"Knock Knock," someone said from my window- I spun around looking at the two twins who hovered there and smirked,
"Congrats on your prison break," I said grinning, they grinned looking at each other for a moment before turning back to me,
"It was all thanks to you," Goerge said,
"Yeah, without you this year I don't know how much of a disaster it would've been," Fred finished and I rolled my eyes,
"I don't know about that, it still is very much of a disaster," I said and they looked at each other again, smiles turning sullen
"We heard you don't know if your returning," Fred said and I frowned slightly, my eyes going back to the pen that was now settled on the floor.
"We don't like the ol' hag, but this school would be a mess without you,"
"Blood hell, you even managed to give Dumbledore a reality check," I chuckled a little bit at that,
"Well, this isn't goodbye,"
"We expect to see you in our shop soon!"
"Bye favorite professor!"
And they were off. I'm not sure that being the 'favorite professor' of such trouble makers was a good thing but that didn't stop the warm feeling in my chest.

Smoking Bandits
With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****

The Garbage Man
2021/10/20 - Taking this down for a complete rewrite. I like the plot but the writing on the first attempt is... Garbage :/ Jack was just waiting for the storm to pass. It wouldn't. What it did was take him on the journey of a lifetime. A lot of lifetimes, in fact. This is a cultivation/wuxia story at its core. May contain young masters, martial arts and magic. * 14/08/2020 - Rough editing done on the published chapters, hooray! Now to resume normal - edited! - releases.
