"Right, now don't let your guard down just yet," I instructed, circling the young demigods in the ring slowly.
When Annabeth had accepted the job at Olympus, I decided that teaching the next generation of Demigods was the path for me. Soon I fell in love with the occupation and the younger ones loved to hear my stories, although I made it clear that it wasn't all glory.
Besides if anyone had ever told me how to deal with the monsters I had to, what their weak point is, what they do when they die, what to do to distract them, how to get away, etc. it would've made some of my quests a little bit smoother.
I smiled as the two in the ring came to a halt, each with a sword at the other's throat. I clapped my hands together, "Great job! Alright, that's enough for today," I called out, and the demigods began to disperse, some still panting slightly. I looked over my shoulder at the doorway, smiling when I saw Nico,
"Hey man!" I said walking over, he nodded to me,
"Chiron wants you in the big house," he said
"Cool," I said falling in step with him, "So how are things with you and Will?"
"G-good," Nico blushed, it was a relatively new development and Nico wasn't 100% okay with announcing it, although I'd wager that it had more to do with his dad than with the relationship. "What about you and Annabeth?"
"Great man," I smiled, "We IM at least twice a week and she has been having a great time on Olympus, not to mention these monster-proof phones Leo designed,"
"Yeah, those come in handy when Will gets on my case for Shadow Jumping- lets me stay in contact with Hazel, now that she's spending so much time at New Rome," Nico agreed

"How's she's doing? I heard from her last week, but both her and Frank seem to have been swamped," I asked, walking up the steps of the big house.
"She seems good, I have a feeling Frank's going to propose soon," Nico said smiling slightly, I snorted.
"No way, Frank's had that ring for months now," I snickered.
"Well, he officially asked my permission so it better be sooner than later," Nico huffed, drawing out a laugh from me as he pouted.
A throat was cleared drawing our attention to Chiron and an old dude with a wizard beard. I quickly nodded my goodbye to Nico and crossed over to Chiron's side,
"You wanted to see me?" I asked and Chiron nodded, "Have a seat, this might take a bit to explain," he said and I nodded sitting down casting a look over to the stranger,
"Hello, Peruses Jackson," he said causing me to tense, a hand going for my pocket, Chiron put a hand on my arm, makeing me pause and look back towards the stranger.
"It's Percy," I said curtly, and the stranger nodding,
"I am Professor Dumbledore, and on behalf of the Ministry of Magic, I have come to ask you to teach at my school Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," I cast a glance at Chiron who nodded before turning back to Dumbledore,
"You want what now?" I asked. Chiron sighed taking over the explanation,
"A long time ago Hecate blessed a group of muggles, turning them into Wizards and Witches, they then bred and like us, have lived in secret. However only a select few know of our exitance, and all that do take their version of swearing on the river Syx, the unbreakable bond, to keep our secret a secret from everybody else." Chiron explained, and I nodded slowly,

"Okay, why not?" I asked thinking back to the other groups of gods in exitance, why not blessed mortals? "So why do you need me again?"
"One of our kind, gone bad, has recently come back and the ministry refuses to acknowledge his return." Dumbledore explained, "They are sending a representor to teach a course at Hogwarts this year and I fear what Umbridge has planned for the young witches and wizards,"
"So, you're hoping that by pulling my rank I'll be able to control this Umbridge?" I asked and the two adults nodded, I turned to Chiron, "You know that they're headed towards a war," I could feel eyes softening with sympathy for the young wizards and witches.
Chiron cut me off, placing a heavy hand on my shoulder, "Yes, I know, but I believe that you are the best suited, I would not ask this of you if this was not the case,"
I sighed looking down at my lap before sealing myselfand nodding, "Just let me make a call and then we can go," Chiron offered me aquick smile as I exited and I fiddled with my phone in my hand. Of course, thefates couldn't just let me have peace.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
