Morning broke through the cloudy sky as white light brightened the room through the large window wall, causing you to stir in your sleep and wake from your long slumber. Birds chirped loudly outside of the balcony like an alarm clock, signaling you that the new day is here.

You didn't see Tooru on your left side of the bed only to find the shared blanket tucked underneath the mattress and pillows arranged in a line. Looking over at the time on your phone, it displayed that it is a quarter to nine in the morning.

Sitting up, distant voices were heard outside of the bedroom as well as kitchen appliances banging against each other. It taken over your curiosity and you swung your legs off the bed to investigate the noise despite how drowsy you still felt. A faint smell of melted butter emitted through the air the closer you stepped closer and you spotted both Tetsu and Tooru in front of the stove, lively and covered in flour.

"What's going on here?" you broke out from your sleepy trance and rubbed your dry eye with a curled finger.

Once they turned, Tetsu was the first to greet you and beamed a strong smile. "Mommy! Good morning!"

Attacked by his small arms, he stuck himself against your legs to give you a long hug. You almost forgotten about last night as Tetsu's name for you surprised you just slightly. With your hand on top of his head, you greeted back with the same smile.

"Good morning, baby," you lifted him in your arms and approached Tooru who held a German non-stick spatula in his hand. Blinking, you noticed he was wearing wire framed glasses at the tip of his nose. Behind those lenses, you can make out the stress marks underneath his eyes.

Did he wake up really early?

His free arm hooked around your waist to bring your closer to plant a morning kiss at your head. "Morning, love."

God, that made me wet. His new pet name for you sounded so sultry, especially with that hot voice of his.

"What's this?" you peered down at the messy counter. Specs of flour, batter, and egg whites stained the marbled surface. It looked like he had a hard time keeping his station clear and accessible.

"We're making pancakes!" shouted Tetsu while pointing at the half cooked batter in a lopsided shape, frying in a stainless steel pan.

"You're making breakfast?" you sent a peculiar look at the man who nervously laughed at your observation.

"Thought you deserve a homemade food by us," he smiled innocently while attempting to scrape off the single pancake off the the pan. "To show how much we appreciate you, isn't that right Tetsu?"

"Right!" the boy threw a thumbs up in agreement. "Can I fix the table now?"

Tooru nodded and you allowed the child to run free on the floor and climb on the chair where the dining table is. The stack of plates and bundles of utensils were distributed on table matts for you, him, and Tooru. He made sure to lay them out as neatly as he could.

"Sorry if they look kind of ugly. This is my third attempt in getting it right," the brunette said over to you shyly, a bit of embarrassed of the stack of pancakes he shoveled on a serving plate. Some looked burnt, different in sizes, or a bit undercooked than others.

But it didn't matter to you if they came out right or not, the gesture itself was sweet enough for you to eat anything he makes. Your arms circled around his torso from behind at the thought, not minding his dirty apron coming in contact with your skin.

"It's okay, I love this," you said in a whisper.

Tooru rubbed your hands at his stomach and laced one of them in his hand, bringing it to his lips as you felt him kissing at the bone of your knuckle. His head looked over his shoulder to eye you sideways.

"Wash up. It should be ready soon," he advised in a delighted tone before letting you go and continuing to flip and cook the rest of the pancake batter in the PYREX bowl.

You peeked at his busy form waiting for one side to cook but a humorous idea came to your head as a smirk approached on your lips. Mimicking that one time, you gave a slap at his butt hiding in shorts and that bold move made the man jump at the startling sting.

"Wha-" he turned back at you with a stunned and blushed face, wanting an explanation from you but all you could do is shrug.

You can't help yourself. He just looked so sexy in an apron while cooking.

Then Tooru's bewildered face turned into a shrewd one as a sly smirk tweaked on his lips. "Such a naughty girl, aren't you?"

"Not my fault you're being so manly," you teased. "Next time, I wouldn't hold myself back."

"Shit," he laughed and resisted himself from touching you, instead, he just gripped his spatula tighter. You knew he can't do anything to you, not with Tetsu in the same room as you two. "The way you take control is getting me all kinds of ideas, Mommy."

Your tongue stuck out to him as you hummed yourself a tune before disappearing down the hall to find the bathroom. It hasn't been twenty-four hours yet and you're already starting to love the new lifestyle you've been given. This mommy role is a lot more fun than you think.

It didn't take long for you to come back with a fresh face and minty breath, hair tidied with a few rakes of your fingers. Like he said, breakfast is already served on the dining table with Tooru and Tetsu waiting for your return. The setter was fixating your plate by cutting the pancake in eight slices like a pizza pie, already scraped with melted butter and slathered in maple syrup.

Tetsu did his best to pour your glass of orange juice over the table but the weight of it caused him to spill a few drops. The sight of them preparing breakfast is somehow pleasing to your eyes, feeling heavily blessed to have men like them cater you as if you're royalty.

"Daddy, Mommy's back!" the child noticed your appearance standing from a far, gawking at the two boys in amazement. You noticed he is taking every chance he gets to call you 'mommy'. It was so cute.

"My lady," Tooru put the utensils down and pulled your chair out for you to take a seat. Once you sat down, he pushed a side dish of overcooked fried eggs and crispy bacon near your plate of pancakes. "Er, sorry. The yolk broke when I try to make it over-easy."

He is so sweet.

"It's okay," you brought your lips to his floured cheek and pecked a kiss. "Thank you."

"I poured orange juice for you, Mommy!" screeched Tetsu while handing you the glass of the freshly squeezed substance with two hands.

You took it from him carefully and ruffled his hair in excitement. "Wow~! This looks good. You're such a big boy, Tetsu."

His grin stretched ear to ear from your compliment, feeling proud himself for doing something so simple and ordinary like pouring a drink. You sipped on it and you were right. It is freshly squeezed since the pulp stuck to the side of the glass. A little sour, but it was still delicious.

Tooru sat next to you and scooted his chair to clap his hands together as the three of you chanted. "Itadakimasu."

With a scoot of his chair in, Tooru waited and eyed you with vigilance until you took the first bite of his unfashionable food. You felt him ogling your expression once you gulped down the sweet pancake and finally you nodded at him.

"It's good." That was the truth, and you weren't saying it because he's your boyfriend. The effort is there and shown that he worked hard on it. For a starter cook like him, it's delicious.

His brown eyes sparkled, "Really? I know it's not your level of cooking but-"

"Tooru," you laughed at his modesty and then take another bite of the precut pancake. "Trust me, it's not like last time."

He gleamed brightly at your words and seeped a pleasant hum to himself, obviously happy of his work after hours of preparation. His early start of the day was worth waking up too.

"What time did you wake up?" you asked curiously as he took a sip of his hot tea, rinsing the grease from the bacon he fried up.

He paused in thought and answered, "Six? Maybe earlier."

"Don't you have work later?" Guilt was starting to wash over you. If he woke up before morning, you can't imagine the rest of his day will be. He'll be exhausted by afternoon.

It's like he knew what you were deeming about because he just shrugged and smiled back at you, hiding the fatigue in his eyes by squinting happily. "Yeah, but I'll be fine. I just want to make you breakfast, sweetie."

It was apparent that you can't deny him. His sweet talk made you forget about your worries about him, completely swept in his allurement and just giggled like a mindless school girl. Another distraction is his phone turning on from a text from Hajime and you glanced down at the screen accidentally.

You didn't read the text because you were more caught off guard at his lock screen picture. It was a picture of you and Tetsu at the amusement park yesterday. The half melted ice cream was held in between his small hands while you gazed at him in laughter, neither of you are even paying attention at Tooru's camera to make a proper pose.

It was a cute candid photo displaying at the front of his screen.

Tooru didn't take notice of your stare due to Hajime's text. He only peered at it and locked it to make his screen go blank again. Then he noticed your eyes.

"What is it?" he asked with a knowing smile on him, throwing a piece of bacon in his mouth and playfully chewed it. So he did notice.

Your face turned away to gaze down at your half eaten plate. "Nothing. I was just wondering... if you can send me those photos you took yesterday."

"Of course," he replied shortly. "The one with you holding Tetsu is my favorite one."

"Y-Yeah," you nodded, choosing to believe him since he made it as his lock screen wallpaper. You were still touched at that fact and felt so much pride. The little things he does just proves that he loves you.

"So Iwa-chan called me earlier while you took your sweet time in the bathroom," he informed, finishing his plate before he proceeded to help feed Tetsu with his own meal.

"Oh, how is he?" It's been a while since you heard from him. The only time when he came over to drop off Tetsu before dinner.

Tooru began to cut the bacon in smaller bites for him and fed him his pancake slice, "He's good. He called to wish Tetsu a late happy birthday."

"I saw Hine!" joined Tetsu in between chews. Soon, he was lectured by his dad to chew first before speaking. "Hine was on Daddy's phone."

They video-called, you figured, just by the smaller Oikawa's limited vocabulary.

"What did you and Hine talk about, Tetsu?" you asked generously just to make conversation with the boy.

He chewed again by his dad's pace in shoveling food in his mouth in attempt to make him finish his breakfast on time. "He wants to have a sleepover with me!"

"A sleepover?" you wondered curiously. You forgot that kids can do play dates.

"Hine invited Tetsu over at Iwa-chan's house for a sleepover party this weekend. You know, as a gift," added Tooru while he scraped the last of the eggs and bacon from Tetsu's place and scooped it up one bite for him to eat.

"That's nice of Iwaizumi to do that," you complimented his best friend. Not a lot of friends would offer that to another person's child. "Are you excited, Tetsu? This might be your first time, isn't it?"

"Yeah! We can play games and stay up all night!" by his little outburst, it caused Tooru to make another lecture.

He only chuckled at his excitement and continued to feed him the rest of his pancakes. "Oh no you don't, little guy. I'll make sure to tell Uncle Iwa to put you to sleep on time."

A little 'aww' escaped from Tetsu's lips, pouting and hunching his shoulders forward to make a disappointed posture. But his eyes looked at you in puzzlement and then his finger pointed at you. "Did Mommy get hurt?"

You raised an eyebrow before tracing his pointed finger where he was directing at and it led to your neck. A gasp suppressed you and your hand clamped at the spot where Tooru nibbled last night. He gave you a hickey.

"Ah- no! It's just a bug bite," you quickly explained with a warm face, and secretly glare over at the unbothered man who just found amusement at your embarrassment - more like he was proud to make a mark on you, even his son can notice it.

Looking at it with the reflection of your phone screen, it wasn't faint. It is literally a bruise. You're going to kill him.

"Gotta put some ointment on that," he was no help. Even with the sarcasm, he still sounded like a jerk. He's going to pay.

Once breakfast was over, you obliged to wash dished since Tooru put in the hard work making food all morning while he assisted Tetsu in finding his clothes in his wardrobe. Unfortunately, you and the professional player have work so not one of you can watch him all day. So, the plan is to take him to his aunt's place until one of you can pick him up.

With the sound of footsteps approaching in the kitchen, you glanced at the figure after wiping the counters clean with a few sheet of paper towels. Tooru came out wearing his black and white tracksuit matching his pollo shirt underneath. He still wore his glasses, thank goodness. He looked exquisitely handsome in it as it brought out his inner daddy energy.

"Tetsu is still changing," he said, maneuvering around the island counter to give a longing kiss at your lips. "Thank you for cleaning."

"Well, thank you for cooking," you smiled back, once again captured by his solemn eyes behind those frames.

A stifled chuckle oozed from his closed lips while wrapping his arms around your waist. "Are you free this weekend?"

You had to think about it, recalling your schedule before answered. "Yeah, I am. Why?" Despite your question, you obviously knew what he was going to suggest as a winning smirk crept on his face and he pulled you tighter against his chest.

"I was thinking we can have our own day together," he indicated.

"What do you wanna do?" you wished you didn't ask such a risqué question, seeing the same smirk on him stretch wider into a grin. His eyes darkened and loomed over with desire, it made you gulp. You were baffled at first but soon you've gotten an idea on what kind of comedic answer he would give.

He was about to respond honestly but stopped himself from doing so.

"There's a couple things I have in mind," Tooru sang, circling around the topic on purpose and kept it casual. "Now that I think about it, we haven't gotten out on a date. Have we?"

You thought about it, and he's right. You can't remember a time with you and him, having a one-on-one time like a date. He never even asked you properly but it is understandable since Tetsu is the main priority.

"Now that you mentioned it, we haven't."

"Well then, would you like to go on a date with me?" Tooru released your waist only to lean against the counter with hands shoved in his track jacket. With his long legs apart, he trapped your standing form in between them. "Perhaps a fancy dinner? We can treat it like it's our first date. I only have work that morning."

Flattered at the creative idea, acting as if you two are going on a first date like high schoolers made you a bit giddy. It was no question that you were going to accept it.

You nodded with a hindering smile on you. "I would love to go on a date with you."

Tooru straightened his posture, fixing his bad boy stance to stand tall in front of you to emit his boyish charm on you like you two are meeting for the first time. And your heart swelled at his flirty behavior.

"Great. Leave the planning to me and be ready by seven on Saturday."
