"Maia?" Wilbur says from a couple steps in front of me.
I got distracted when I was looking a painting of a flower field.
Wilbur makes his way over to me. "I got Starbursts."
He pulls out a red and a yellow one. He hands me the yellow one and holds the red one for himself.
"Does this look familiar?" I gesture to the painting.
He smiles as he pops the candy into his mouth. "Very much so." He wraps his arms around me from behind. "That was a good night," he says in a quiet tone, referring to the night that started all of this.
"Lilly and Lucas were fun." I smile.
He kisses the top of my head. "Maia and Wilbur are a lot more fun though, right?"
I turn around to face him, grabbing both his hands. "Oh yeah, we're a blast."
Maia and Wilbur are soulmates. I've realized ever since I've started dating Wilbur that nobody has just one soulmate name attached to them. Why would you label them as one thing when humans are so much more complex than that?
Wilbur is my love-soulmate, but also my friend-soulmate. He's my soulmate that makes me feel at home, even if I'm thousands of miles from my actual house.
"Should we get this painting for our new house?" Wilbur asks, raising his brows.
I laugh a little. Wilbur and I decided to move in together. Not quite in London or Brighton, but in a nice house right in the middle. We can visit his family and mine in Brighton, but we aren't too far from George either.
When we were deciding where to move, Wilbur laughed when one of my things was being close to George.
"He's more of a needy-softie than he likes to lead on," I told Wilbur.

"I don't doubt that one bit." Wilbur laughed.
I stare at the painting in front of me, envisioning where it could go in the new house. "It'll look good above our brick fireplace."
"You really are obsessed with that fireplace." Wilbur jokingly rolls his eyes.
"It's a selling point," I say, "We're lucky to get that beautiful piece in our home."
"You are totally right. Let's get this painting; it'll help us remember our roots." He smiles before leaning in to give me a kiss.
And when he kisses me, he kisses me as Wilbur. It makes the butterflies flutter even after all this time. It makes me happy and excited to be alive.
Because I wouldn't want anybody else kissing me.
