"What in the bloody hell. So much happened yesterday and you guys didn't tell us?" Jin asked fuming. It was the next day in college and Suga had just finished telling his friends what happened with Kai.

 "This is exactly what I was worried about. I knew that asshole will pull something like this. And why the hell did Kookie agree to it?" Namjoon said bewildered.

 "He didn't like Kai badmouthing me so he agreed in the heat of the moment. Now I don't want anyone to talk about this in front of him and make him sad. He's tensed as it is." Taehyung said strictly. Everyone nodded in agreement. Soon enough Jungkook joined them too and they all left for their classes after catching up.

"Tae enough now. You've been at it for 2 hours now without a break. At this rate you'll exhaust yourself or worse injure yourself. I know you're doing this because of the bet but don't let it get to your head. You're the best player we got and we haven't lost a single match yet and we'll win this time too. If Jungkook finds out that you're overworking yourself he won't like it. So please stop now." Suga pleaded with his bullheaded friend. 

"You know I can't leave anything to chance. I've to win this match at any cost Suga, I can't lose. It has become personal now." Taehyung said before shooting another basket. Suga knew there is no point trying to reason with his friend. He's stubborn once he decides something. He just sighed and waited patiently for Taehyung to finish his practice.

It was the day of the tournament and you could feel it in the air, a combination of excitement and nerves. Jungkook believes in Taehyung but that still didn't stop his heart from beating out of his chest. The rest of the Bangtans weren't any better either but they held it in not to make Taehyung even more nervous than he already was. Taehyung and Suga was in the locker room changing while the rest of them were waiting outside. Before long all the players walked out leaving just the two of them behind. Jungkook immediately rushed inside and jumped on Taehyung. He was caught off guard but still managed to catch him. 

"What happened bun, nervous?" Jungkook just nodded his head against Taehyung's shoulder. 

"Do you trust me baby?" Jungkook again just nodded.

 "Then trust that I won't let anyone come close to you let alone touch you. Now give me a kiss for good luck." Taehyung said before smashing his lips on him. He slammed him against the locker while still carrying him by his thighs. They were getting out of breath but Taehyung still didn't stop. He kept kissing him aggressively till he heard someone clearing their throat from behind. Taehyung pulled out of the kiss panting heavily while Jungkook just hid himself in the crook of his neck.

 "Well that was a good show. But as much as we would love to keep watching you eat each others face you've a game to get to." Jimin said smirking at his bestfriend. Jungkook was too embarrassed to even lift his head while Taehyung just gave an unimpressed look to his friends. 

"All the best Tae and yoongi. We'll be out there supporting you." Namjoon said patting their backs. Taehyung took out his jersey and gave it to Kookie.

 "Wear it. I want everyone to know that you're mine." Jungkook wordlessly took it and wore it blushing madly.

They all made their way to the stadium. Suga pulled Jimin back away from the group. Before he could even ask anything Suga pushed his jersey towards him. 

"Well you can wear it if you want. I wouldn't mind it." Suga just walked away without waiting for an answer while Jimin just stared after him in shock. He stood rooted to the spot for some time before breaking out into a wide grin. He squeeled happily wearing the jersey and ran towards the stadium. He made his way to his friends all of whom had their mouths hanging open seeing Jimin in Suga's jersey. They smirked at him making him groan in embarrassment.

"I see your babyboy is here. Didn't think he would actually show up. I hope you haven't forgotten our bet Kim. I can't wait to kiss those beautiful lips." Kai said coming close to Taehyung. 

"Enjoy this match as much as you can fucker since this is going to be your last match according to the bet. You know I almost feel sorry for you..almost." Taehyung smirked looking at an angry Kai. 

"We'll see who's gonna lose asshole." Kai said gritting his teeth. Soon the whistle was heard indicating that the game was about to start. Everyone got into their position. Taehyung looked over the crowd his eyes landing on Jungkook. He smiled at him once before turning his attention back on the game.

The game started with the referee tossing the ball in the air. Team Eagles managed to grab the ball making the stadium erupt in loud cheers. Taehyung was dribbling the ball trying to score a basket while Kai's team was blocking his every advances. Taehyung still managed to score a basket while Jungkook was cheering him on. The first score was made by team Eagles boosting their self confidence. The game went on with both the team making multiple baskets. By the time the game reached half time the score was 12-10 with Kai's team just two points behind.

Right now both the teams were huddled in their respective corners discussing their next strategy. 

"I must say they've improved a lot from last time. This is going to be tough." Suga said getting nervous. 

"I don't care Suga. I won't lose this game no matter what. Now listen here everyone I know they're playing well but they're still not better than us. We've always been undefeated and we'll continue to be undefeated. So let's go out there and show them what we are. We are the Eagles born to fly, no one can bring us down. Continue doing what everyone has been doing so far and we'll surely win." Taehyung addressed his team.

"This game is dragging on too much. I don't care what you do but we need to win this game at any cost by hook or by crook. Taehyung is their best player. Without him the team will lose confidence and it'll be easier to win against them. We need to take him out of the game. Do you guys understand?" Kai said determined. 

The game started once again with both the teams giving their all. But Taehyung noticed that Kai's team is getting a little more aggressive with their defences. Taehyung had the ball in his hand and just when he was about to shoot the ball he felt himself falling face first onto the ground hitting his knee. A shrill scream echoed through the whole stadium while Taehyung held his knee in immense pain. Suga ran to him immediately checking to see the extent of the injury. The Bangtans were rooted on the spot shocked while Jungkook was screaming trying to run to Taehyung while Namjoon had a death grip on him. 

"Let me go hyung please I need to see him." Jungkook wailed uncontrollably while all of them tried to console him.

"Tae are you ok. Where are you hurt?" Suga questioned getting worried.

 "My knee is hurt. That bastard did it purposely." Taehyung said looking at a smirking Kai. 

"Shit what now? Can you play like this?" Taehyung got up with the help of Suga. 

"It'll take a lot more than this for me to stop playing Suga." Taehyung answered looking at Jungkook and smiling at him. He mouthed the words I Love You and blew a kiss towards him. Jungkook relaxed after seeing Taehyung smiling even though he could guess that he was in pain. The game continued but Taehyung's injured leg became a hindrance in him running causing the opponents to score basket after basket. Kai's team was way ahead of them by now.

"Oh God I can't watch this. This is too nerve racking." Jin said biting his nails. Jungkook could feel the anxiety creeping in. He shook his head and concentrated on cheering for them. After all this is all he could do for Taehyung. There was only five minutes left on the clock now and with every passing second their chances of winning was also passing.

 Taehyung forgot all his exhaustion and pain and gave it his all. He was running on adrenaline right now. With just minutes left on the clock he dribbled the ball and executed a three point shot, the ball perfectly landing in the basket earning them 3 points. With that one shot they managed to bring the score to 22-23. Now all they needed is two points to win the game. With just two minutes left on the clock Kai's team was just shadowing the opponents trying to stop them from making a shot.

Time was running out and so was Taehyung's patience. With just 30 seconds left now he manage to grab the ball from the other team making a run for it. But just before he could shoot the ball he saw Kai's team running towards him. In a last ditch effort he threw the ball to Suga yelling his name. Suga immediately caught the ball and threw it towards the basket. There was pindrop silence in the stadium. It was like the time had stopped. 

The crowd watched with baited breath as the ball bounced on the rim and after what felt like an eternity the ball went through the net just as the whistle blew indicating the game over. The crowd erupted in loud cheers running onto the court. The Bangtans had tears in their eyes. Taehyung fell down with tears running down his face while his team celebrated lifting Suga on their shoulders. Jungkook stood rooted on the spot before running through the crowd. He spotted Taehyung sitting on the ground and yelled out to him. 

As soon as Taehyung heard his name he got up looking at the crowd. He saw his bunny running towards him and opened his arms welcoming him. Jungkook jumped on him while Taehyung held him tightly. He broke down on his shoulders all the anxiety and nerves crashing down on him. 

"Don't cry bun. It's over now. We won just like I promised you." Taehyung said caressing his hair. He saw Kai looking at him like he wanted to murder him. He smirked before pulling Jungkook back and smashing his lips on him. He kept kissing him while hollers and whistles erupted around them.

Kai clenched his fists and stormed out of there while the Bangtans surrounded their friends. 

"Listen here everyone there'll be a success party for our champions at the Trance tonight, everyone is invited." Namjoon yelled causing the crowd to go into another round of wild cheers. 

"Hyung are you hurt too much?" Jungkook asked Taehyung.

"Not anymore since your kiss took away all the pain." Jungkook just looked at him with a done face.

 "Even when you're in pain you're cheesy hyung. I know you're in pain. Let's go to medical room and don't argue or else I won't talk to you." Jungkook said huffing. 

"How can I ever say no to my bunny. Lead the way baby." Taehyung said turning to his friends. He said bye to them telling them he'll see them at the club before walking out with Jungkook.

"Are you ok baby? I know it wouldn't have been easy for you. Were you scared that we'll lose? Taehyung asked while the nurse was bandaging his knee.

 "I know you'd never let someone touch me whether or not you win, but I still wanted you to win. And my heart literally stopped when I saw you fall. I was so scared hyungie. I thought you were hurt very bad. I wanted to come to you but Namjoon hyung didn't let me." Taehyung hugged him tightly whispering against his ears "I love you bun." 

"I love you too hyung." They both left after getting his knee treated. Taehyung took Jungkook home first then left to get changed for the party after promising him that he'll come to pick him up.

Taehyung turned around the lane not noticing the car that went inside the mansion.

Hey guys apologies for the late update. I was really busy this whole week with work. Weekends are the only time I'm free but I'll still try to update chapters regularly as much as I can.
